I’ve killed countless wasp and hornet rigs these last few days. They may be fast but they are not tough. And since they won’t drug or overdrive until gold siren... pop - pop - pop, and I’m in first place.

And we’ve seen 50-50 MU sales before. Doesn’t really matter to me because I consider Speed-Ups to be complete crystal toilets and refuse to put my hard-won and/or paid for crystals there. Besides, we’ll get another MU sale in a couple of weeks. I don’t think Tanki has let three weeks go by this year without an MU sale, and most of them have been 50% off. I’m a patient guy.

I will admit I miss not being able to pick a map this week. Smoky impact alteation  knocks those light hulls off bridges so fun.

 

I agree with you on speed ups in general. But at the low end of the MU ladder they are useful in 50/70 sales. For example let's say you have 3 steps done. You do step 4 at the sale day start. 23 hours later you finish that off with a speed up and start step 5 before the sale day ends.

 

The 23 hours represents a significant portion of the step 4 waiting period. You still save some money overall on step 4 and the full 50% on step 5. It is roughly the same as doing steps 4 and 5 at a 30% discount. For steps 4 and 5 that is a bonuis savings.  In general I am willing to pay full MU price up to step 4 (modules) or step 5 (hulls/.turrets).  (I am taking about the 10 point MUs scales here)

 

But at a 50-/50 sale I haven't checked to see if the prices justify doing this,

Besides the persisting bugs that stop me from playing the game, the World UFO day festivities for me have been, well, okay at best.  I'm no fan of the meteorite golds since catching them after impact is really a drag race to the gold.  And given that drag races & speed are most natural to Wasps, the meteorite golds tend to benefit Goldbug Wasps the most. 

 

Oh well.  At least those UFO buddies are nice (yippee...).  The saving grace, of course, is the MU sales, and I'll take any chances at MUing my equipment for less than regular price.

I can't believe Tanki players have a very short term memory. Have you forgotten all the mults and hackers during the last 10X Gold? There are probably more hackers today because of that 10X.

 

Because of that I guess we deserve what we get.

The last time they did 10x golds the jump hack wasn't patched yet... and don't tell me the backflip hack, because that hack only works when you are right under the dropzone.

Yep - assuming that wasp/hornet gets at least one box per battle, he’s doing much better than I am.

 

But I’m not gonna complain. I enjoy actually playing this game. Not multing and exploiting events.

          @ : You and the dev team go out there on the battle field and have a look. There is full of hackers taking the gold boxes, at least at low ranks. What a pity that there is nothing done to prevent it from happening and what a waste!

These special events bring out the worst in players.

 

Like the clown GTX1080Ti144FPS saying "EZ game"... was a close 2-2 until my team members started bailing after their next cap.  Ended up 4 vs 8 and they won 5-2.  Didn't seem so easy when team #s were balanced...

I guess it's nice to have lots of Wasps and Hornets to shoot at, but I'm getting bored of it now.

 

Would have been nice to have a mix of meteorite and normal drops to give more people a chance.

 

(never going to catch any Gold Boxes, and don't think I'd catch enough to get the money back on a Wasp or Hornet)

 

(edit: my first account has all the Hulls and I just managed to catch a box with a M0 Wasp with no MUs, but I spent most of the battle hiding and drugging)

Please put Meteorites as a permanent feature in non-pro battles as many people lag when a normal gold drops and when meteorite drops its like a race and chances of lag are almost none

This Alien Meteorite Gold nonsense is killing the game! Crammed packed with mults & hackers!

 

Using M4 Dictator (+ double armour) a good bit back from Gold drop zone I get obliterated/thrown by blast while closer hackers using Wasp/Hornet unaffected simply rush in for Gold! Tanki do something!

 

Solution: End the Gold Warning Siren/notification. Maybe have no landing zone marker either.

This would distribute Golds way way better! And less affect battle.
