When trying to collect gold boxes, I really hate it when players on the same team as me in team battles manages to catch it when I am under the drop zone. When team players jump on top of my tank of getting pushed out of the gold box drop zone by team members.

 

To solve this problem, I have come up with an idea which will have a button on the screen which will only become active when the siren goes off. This button will be active on the screen during the 10 seconds when "gold box will be dropped soon", until the gold box lands on the ground.

 

This gold box request button will be positioned between the onscreen overdrive and supplies button. The button will be black with a gold diamond icon.

 

How this button works:

 

When the gold box siren goes off, only one player on the team who presses the button first will make all other team members ghosted. The ghost team players will be able to destroy enemy tanks as usual, but these ghost players will not be able to pick up gold boxes. However, ghost team players can pick up normal supply boxes.

 

Pressing the request gold box button makes gold stealing from your team impossible, whilst allowing the player on the same team who pressed the "gold box request button" possible.

 

The purpose of this unique but interesting feature is not to change any stats of gold boxes, but allow players who request the gold box to manage to pick it up when team member jump on your tank or tries to push you to steal the gold box.

Riddler, you have to learn and accept the fact that not everything in this game is about you catching gold boxes. When a gold box siren sounds it doesn't mean that you have to stop whatever you are doing and go catch the gold. Some people completely ignore it and keep playing the game.

 

Right now the process of catching a gold is quite smooth and balanced. The whole event takes only 20 seconds and allows most players to have a chance at catching the gold. It's fair to everyone and doesn't interrupt the gameplay too much. Also, taking the gold box requires a certain amount of skill, which is part of what makes the process so exciting. If you narrow it down to just a case of mashing the "gold box request button" as fast as possible, then all skill will be lost and the gold box might as well just get automatically added to the player's account.

 

Anyway, my point is - instead of selfishly getting upset that your teammate "stole the gold from you", I strongly recommend that you instead be happy for them, forget about it and move on. There's more to life than catching gold boxes.

It's an interesting idea, but mostly cheaters would benefit from it. All a cheater has to do is mult with one finger on the Gold request button, when they here the announcement they'll be the first to activate that feature.

          Your idea got declined because your visual identity of the new button is wrong. You should have asked it to be placed in the right side bottom of the screen next the score panel. Also, colour should have been white with a gold box icon.

Well, you simply wouldn't ever be able to catch a gold box again, since in every battle there would be someone using clicker software to instantly click on that gold request button the instant it appears.

How to catch a gold:

 

1. Take Titan Shaft

2. Be in winning team (~50% chance)

3. Camp, kill and wait for the siren

4. Look around for gold spot

5. If it is in your base, drug SB

6. Go to gold spot with SB

7. Wait...no Dictator pls...

 

I actually caught a container gold with Titan Shaft today so this tactic is really good.

There's better things to do than try your chances at 1000 crystals, like taking the opportunity to help your team win the battle.
