Twins Rant

 Share

Recommended Posts

So I know what everyone is thinking here, another twins are overpowered rant. Alas it is not.

This is a rant to all twins players that don't understand the following:

Shooting a team mate with that constant stream of fire when they are trying to aim, or kill the enemy ticks them off. That is right twins players, time to finally realize that regardless of whether it is a friendly fire game or a non-friendly fire game, when you constantly shoot a stream of twins fire, the knock back EFFECTS YOUR TEAM MATES.

I can't count how many times I have seen totally incompetent twins players firing into the back of competent rail gun team mates while they are trying to shoot.

Either lead the charge, or change guns, because otherwise you are just p&ssing off your team mates.

The end.

In my humble opinion. All the Twins players out there should switch over to Dictator just because its higher than other tanks. So your infinite volley of plasmas will just go above your allies and not into them. Or do what eessydo said, "Lead the Charge"

I have recently upgraded to railgun but will be switching back to twins after I can get the m2 upgrade. I get trigger happy in some ctf games when the team I am on's base is rushed I shoot at everything I think is a tank that pops out from a wall or a ramp until I get close enough to see if it's my teammate. Though i've seen some players shoot their teammates to get thier attention.

I've had plenty of twins pissing me off, they can stop me in my tracks! I use railgun with Dictator so I guess that makes me an ideal target for all twins... they cannot resist!

@king_beast88, No matter how far you are you will always know where your team mates are. All team mates have a health bar and a name on top of them. While enemies get them only at close range.

@Ostrica, As a twin/viking player, I had a hard time attacking from behind when there were Dictators in my team. So, I started to lead the charge. Well, Now I'm a happy little M3 thunder camper. :P

Most people with Twins have a large or medium sized tank such as Viking, Titan or Mammoth and they always stay in one spot while I'm trying to get in front of them to get the flag. If they miss one shot that doesn't matter because Twins shoots like about 180 projectiles per minute but M2 Thunder only shoots 22 so in the end it's either that they get killed first then I kill the enemy or I self-destruct because of them not smart enough to just move to the side to let your teammate pass. Like essydo said, you either lead the charge or change to another gun that's suitable for long range or medium range combat.

GOD. I was in a friendly fire the other day, and I had a twins camper on my team. I think the other team killed him 4 times, he had 25 kills, and he defintely killed my teammates around 30 times.

i find that most twins users are ******s. they constantly shoot at anything, never taking their finger off space bar. if an opposing player isnt about to blast away at, then a team member is almost as good. failing this, any nearby object such as a wall or building will do just fine.

special mention to the guys out there that keep blasting away as you fall off the map :)

I second this. Twins are a shallow weapon, take little skill, and tick people off to the point where they leave. Now for a low rank Twins are probably an OK weapon. But if you have Twins past WO1-3, you should actually stop playing because it is useless.

I disagree twins require large amouunts of skill on open levels where you cannot hit the rail/thunder/smokey users you must survive to get close to them and let the killer bees out the twins barrels on them. As far the knowingly constant friendly fire users that is no skill. The twins are a cheap tier 1 weapon that can annoy tier 2 users

Agreed. I am a twins player with hornet m1 and most of the time I fire, it hits my team mates. Sometimes, I dislike twins because of this. I once was trying to help my team mate destroy a enemy but my fire just made him miss and he died, he got pissed really badly and kept ramming me.....

You do understand that you can change your angle of attack (MOVE YOUR TANK) so that you can get a clear shot on the unit without shoot up your team mates ass, right?

Let me give you the steps

1. Get your thumb off the space bar

2. Move your tank so that your team mate is not between you and the enemy (Line of Fire)

3. Move your turret and aim at the opposing team player

4. Put your thumb on the space bar again.

See, quite easy. In fact, if you are any good you can learn how to do steps 2 and 3 at the same time.

This is not always possible as the twins range is 40 m. If you are beginning to shoot from the max range and you are driving toward the enemy sometimes just before you're bullets hit a teamatee may pass right through on a flank shot happens a lot with rail gun campers that just ping pong attack. If I know they are going to die from one shot or they short equivalent of medium range weapon i will not stop firing as I want every shot to count. If snipers want to camp like this stay out of the foward firing area I say.

@ eaglestar I mean no disrespect to those players personally only the strategy I too play with rail gun on larger maps, but as clans are for 2.0 and teamwork is not all depending on you're teammates and players play for kills to rank up mostly it's every tank for itself when it comes to kills even on ctf.

I never dissed twins, I dissed incompetent twins players that shoot at their team mates while trying to either aim or make kills. Move to the front or get your damn thumb off the space bar.
