Carry and deliver multiple flags in Assault mode

I have seen and noticed in some computer games where a character can carry multiple items, either in his hands or carrier bag. That may sound weird in Tanki Online, but the idea behind this in Tanki Online is for flag carriers in Assault mode to be able to carry multiple flags at the same time and deliver them all to the control point.

 

The red team side of the Assault mode is the flag carrier side. This side must have a little tweak which allow players to carry multiple flags because on most maps there are more than one flag point and I have seen many players who already carry a flag and attempt to catch another flag on another flag base. Unfortunately, at the moment, players cannot carry more than one flag and its annoying for them, as well as me.

 

Another good reason for being able to carry multiple flags in Assault mode is to save time when delivering flags and returning to your blue control point base. Saving time is beneficial for both the players carrying the flags and for the player's personal battle rating.

 

Each delivered captured flags in Assault mode give 5 points. For example, if a player picks up two flags and delivers them to the control point, the player will earn 10 flag points.

 

Please accept and approve my idea because Assault mode will be better for flag carriers. This change would be a positive change and will not change the way Assault battles are played. Also, the control point, "blue base" will not change at all, and it will remain the same as of now.

Problem is, if one player takes all flags then the others won't be able to help. If that one player manages to deliver all two or three flags - great, but if he dies, then it will be quite a big waste of valuable time for the team. Besides, having multiple people attack from different directions has a better likelihood of at least one of them capturing a flag.

There might be an advantage or disadvantage depending on where the flags are placed on the map. One maps where multiple flags are placed near each other, that would be any problem at all. A player could grab all the flags and capture them simultaneously to the control point, if he successfully manages to drive to the enemy base without getting killed.

You're talking about teamwork.....good teamwork.....for this to be successful. Secondly, on some maps, like Forest, the flags are far apart. The defenders will be out to kill the flag bearer just trying to gather flags, giving them even more defense points. 

 

You said the point system for the defense team won't change. It doesn't matter where the flag bearer is killed, it's still defense points. So let's say a flag carrier on Forest grabs on flag and tries to make it to the second. He's killed along the way....defense points. Then someone else tries to do the same thing and is killed trying to grab another flag....more defense points. The way it is now, you have 2 or 3 flag bearers which gives the attack team a better chance of scoring. A flag bearer carrying 2 or three flags will have the entire defense team killing one player instead of 2 or 3. 

 

To keep it balanced, if you get double or triple the points for capping, then the defense team should get double or triple the points for the kill.

Yeah good point though. I forgot to mention that "to keep assault mode battles balanced", the blue team side should get double or triple points for killing the flag holder and the defense team should get double or triple the points for the kill.


I also think that there should be an option in pro battles which would enable or disable the multiple flag capture for the red team.

The mult could be easily killed if the blue team gangs up together against him, even if he hides behind a wall.

Why would blue team try to kill the mult, since as long as said mult lives their victory is assured?

Exactly. Blue team *puts* (tells a random mult to help them) a mult on red side, mult grabs all flags and blue team wins.

I'd rather have the Red bases generate a flag 20 seconds (or whatever) after a flag has been picked up so that more than two or three players can attempt to cap if the Blue team doesn't kill the flag carriers quickly enough or decides to camp at the Blue base.

Capping a flag generates the most points for individual players - giving three to one player shuts the others out.

 

And unless the flags are right next to each other you are wasting time gathering flags instead of delivering flags.

 

One death = all three flags returning to bases.

Capturing multiple flags does not wastes player's time, but increases the changes of players the ability to earn more points at once and also increase the chances of the red team to win.

Assault mode is still not balanced. The reason for that is because the red team side should be allowed to carry multiple flags at once. That is, one player must be able to carry multiple flags at once and deliver the flags to the blue team base.

 

Another balance problem with assault mode is that there is only 1 blue base. On medium and large maps there must be 2, 3 or more blue bases to make it easier for the red team flag carrier players to be able to deliver flags without getting killed too often. Most of the time, the blue team side mostly wins due to the lack of blue bases that are needed, so it makes it too difficult for red team flag carrier players to win.

 

Please add more blue bases to assault mode and make it possible for the players to carry multiple flags at once.
