Camping Isidia Rant

Why is it that M3 isidia's now seem to value XP and points over winning? That's right guys, almost all the good isidia players that used to heal the bigger stronger team mates to the flags have pretty much all moved onto tier 2 weapons (except a small few), and what is left is a whole new generation of players that just sits behind cover and heals up team mates to earn points.

Good Isidia players are far and few between nowadays. It has gotten to the point that if there is a gaggle of camping isidia's that refuse to help in grabbing flags, i just switch sides. You know they aren't going anywhere, because they just want to heal team mates and get the crystal payoff. Sadly those guys rarely win.

Also for some strange reason they heal up the weakest units, and absolutely ignore the team mates that can actually help win the game. Must be psychological, as they apparently think that they score more points with a full heal of M0 hornet with an M0 ricochet vs. healing the M3 mammoth with the M3 freeze.

The end.

Well, The same happened to me earlier. But a little bit of screaming helped and they all followed me like toddler would follow his mother. "We" won the game at the end.

By the way, even though I switched to Thunder from Isida I still use Isida a lot just because of its healing ability. Camping in base with Isida is a pretty good thing and even I do it, most of the time. But I do know when to be offensive with it.

Mmhmm, I have noticed quite a few of these guys. I guess when they notice how many points they can get from healing, they do that to get to the top of the team because it looks awesome. It irritates me to have several flags captured and still be behind an M1 isida camping in the base.

Personally I find isida more suited to charging into the enemy base and using that self heal thing. Or following a powerful tank and keeping it alive as it goes for a flag or something. Either of those are much more useful than camping.

But they tend to net fewer points. And more deaths.

Kool makes a good point about when to camp and when to go for, or help to go for the flag. IMO the isida is way OP in the score department. You can have 100 plus kills in a game and be no-where near as many points (= crystal reward) as an isida. perhaps the points for healing should be reduced for a normal team mate, yet increased a great deal for one that carries the flag (in CTF games obviously)?

I agree they may need a slight drop in healing score however these players do help out the snipers and anyone who stays back at base to defend it ex. silence however they are not offensive and raising the points for being a flag scorer to 3x will only be abused by speedy tanks drugging with nitro, and leave out the players with hard fought kills as they some now do with the healing not all Isidia users are bad.

if you read the comments, the main issue is with the isidas that ONLY camp and never help with the flags. their only intention is to camp and heal to gain max points. drugging an isida to get the flag/heal a flag getter isnt abuse, its good play. thats what we are saying, a good isida player is few and far between these days due to the trend of isida campers.
