ah really?? Wanna see? M3 isida and M0 viking kan kill M3 freeze with M0 viking

Husto, the only way this happens is if the freeze is within 15 meters of the freeze target. Freezes range is 20 meters, so unless there are exigent circumstances (ie a wall or team mate blocking your escape), then any competent freeze player will always win.

So your scenario is only applicable if the range is less than or equal to 15 meters during the entire conflict. Otherwise your theory sucks.

Read cablaz's post.

But kool, can I ask something? Great guide and all that, but why didn't you post a guide of railgun, a weapon you use far more than isida, and not a guide of isida instead? And will you write a guide of railgun one day?

Read cablaz's post.

I did, nothing new there skitee. IF the isidia comes at you and actually gets a hold of you, by moving outside of 20m isidia disengages and then has to reach the 15m point again, which won't happen because the isidia is frozen solid. So, your point?

Remember, Husto's example is if hull is of the exact same type and M-level and weapons are of the same M level then isidia wins over freeze. 9 times out of 10 it doesn't because of isidia's limited range and freezes ability to slow down an enemy rapidly, especially at M3 level.

Now if you have an M3 hornet attacking an M0 viking and you use your speed to get into the body of the viking before it sets off its freeze, well then sure you will win, but that is not what we are discussing.

Everyone knows the best way to attack a freeze with an isidia is to get to either

1. "ZERO" range parallel to the unit and get as much out of it as you can or

2. use a wall to pin it in while you take its life away or

3. Ram into the side of it and hope to lift up the freeze gun

But the reality is if it (freeze) sees you coming as an isidia, you can forget it, you are pretty much dead.

Have you ever used Freeze, eesy? I am using firebird, and I find it extremely difficult to find the small 5 metre range between the fire range and the isida range. I guess with freeze it will be easier, but still not easy. My point is that it is probably very very hard for the freeze.

As I said in another thread' date=' [b']Mines[/b] are the worst enemies of isidas

Agree that Freeze can own Isida quite easily, with no walls behind...

Mines are more like the flag attackers' worst nightmares and Isida's worst enemy would probably be any long ranged weapon but in close range Freeze has some advantages over Isida.

I always own isidas with.... MINE

I have lots of them so when a M3 isida sticks on me i just use a mine and BOOM  ... otherwise he stops and i can easily pwn him with my M3 thunder while running away (m2 Viki has quite good speed). Freeze can also own them easily, as long as there are no wall behind.

So, mines are very usefull nightmares 8)

i kinda think we need a seperate topic section in the forum where all the guides can be moved to once they are deemed helpful for ease of access and reference.

And this would need to be one of the first for creating team players.

To tell the truth, M0 and M1 isida are really difficult to kill with because of the charge rate (Exception for M0 and M1 Dicatator but then you usually die because you used up your charge). When you get to M2 and M3, the charge rate is fast enough to make kills easy enough to accomplish and continue on. At the M0 and M1 levels, I found it really useful to follow better players and heal them, best way to get points, experience, and crystals :D

that is what i've been doing joining high ranked games and just playing medic sometimes i try and flag if only to pass it to another teammate. i follow the flaggers to heal them as well.

i have a question though, why can an isdia only heal themselves when attacking? you can heal you're teammates if you have charge but not you're self you have to hope another player is on you're team and is also using isdia why?

The reason you can't heal urself with the isida is that it would be too cheap that after u kill some1 u heal urself so that they dont have a head start when they come back.

also the "physics" engine for the isida would be far too complex and u might heal urself when ur at full health instead of healing the damaged tank of another person.
