The War is close!

All the information regarding the War  Domination are here and in the V-log #178, you won't find anything anywhere else (maybe in the RU forum - good luck with that). So read this thread you will find useful information.

More information will be provided by Nives as we draw closer to the event (end of July-start of August). Unfortunately this is made to create suspense and expectation among the communities, so you will need to learn patience if you want to survive.

Can somebody explain me what is War in an understandable language? What's the main purpose of this event? What are we going to do exactly?

Let me try and explain to you. :D

So basically you have to follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Garage and purchase one of the 4 faction paints. (or in the case of the upcoming war, it seems you have to just buy 1 paint and your faction is automatically chosen)
  2. Go to a special site and login to confirm registration. (last time it was https://war.tankionline.com/ )
  3. [The following 3 steps are what a "Turn" is in the War] [This step is referred to as the "Strategy" phase] Vote for 2 territories to attack and 1 to defend. (vote by click on territories, click "Confirm" when done.
  4. The same day that you choose where to attack / defend you must make 200 or more kills in non-PRO battles to confirm the vote.
  5. [This step is referred to as the "Battle" phase] The next day you had to make as many kills as possible (also in non-PRO battles), as well as avoid being killed yourself to maintain a high K/D. K/D will affect wether you capture an enemy territory on the map. (K/D did not apply when attacking unclaimed territories on the map) All the kills your faction made were put together, and if they exceeded a certain unknown amount(progress was shown on a green bar, which opened when clicking on the menu to the bottom-right of the map on the War site), you would take the territory during the next "Turn" (if 2 or more factions were fighting for the same territory, the one with the higher overall K/D would take it).
  6. Steps 3, 4, and 5 will be repeated as long as the War lasts.

During the last War, a player would receive 3 containers for each completed turn.

Winning the War happens if these 3 conditions are met:

  1. A faction has captured the Nuclear Rocket (this is in the very center of the map and is the object winning the War.)
  2. The faction successfully defends the Nuclear Rocket for 1 whole turn.
  3. The faction has at least 10 points of both Survey Data and Rocket Fuel. (this is obtained from territories on the map which are captured by your faction. Every turn all factions will earn 1 point of both resources from their Capital cities. There are special regions on the map with Survey Data Centers and Rocket Fuel Factories, which will earn you 1 point of both resources every turn.)

The players who were part of the winning faction receive double the Containers and a unique animated paint. (players were part of losing factions received their containers as well, the only thing is that the winning faction received double containers.)

Now that you have read this basic explanation, start reading the past War Heralds and you will get an idea of what War in TO is.

If you now read the main topic of the upcoming war you can know the differences between this and the last War.

NOTE: This new War will be a bit different, such as using Stars instead of K/D. The above is all based on the last War, prizes, etc will most likely change for the upcoming one but the concept remains the same)

As far as I know the basic mechanic will be the same, just confirming turns will be different -- with stars, not K/D.

I hope the number of stars will be reasonable. 200 kills, it was a lot, and quite hard to complete on different accounts.

So just do it on your main account.... no point of multiple accounts if you can only access one at a time xd

Registration are not open yet. Wait until the "Distributor" paint to be available in the garage.

Are they changing the way votes are confirmed?  The 200 kills was off-putting for many who decided not to participate.

It's a good question. We don't know, all information available is in this topic and the v-log. From that we can see that there is 2 phases one voting and one fighting. The star system, instead of kills could be used in both. So I expect that you will need to reach a certain number of stars in the first phase to be able to vote. Kills were an easy way to see where you were, while for stars we don't know how to get them yet. Hopefully it will be a mix of kills, capping and other key element of the game - so not 200 kills but it would be as difficult I beleive.

Since the K/D is not being used, then maybe I'd be less likely to log out of a battle because it.

Will the rank gap remain the same as it is now?

I assume we will be playing regular Tanki maps, as last time.

When the Distributor paint is bought, will that immediately change into the faction we will be assigned to or will there be a slight delay? If a delay, then how will we be notified which faction we will be fighting for?

Will RGB and ASL be included?

We can choose battle mode through the MMS? But not the map.

Will we still be put into battles with only 2 minutes left in battle? If so, that would hinder the participation part of earning STARS. A couple weeks ago, I had a kill mission of 50. I kept a running total of time left in battle. I joined 12 battles and of those 12 only one was 4 minutes. The others were 3 minutes or less. Some battles I didn't even get one kill, though I damage several. I finally gave up and tried again the next day. This would also hurt the kill count.

All MM battles are included, so that means RGB and ASL will too.

You don't have to play battles on specific maps for the War.

Basically you'll be playing your normal MM battles like usual and nothing will change in that regard.

As for the paint question, if it doesn't change immediately, you can simply check back later and see which paint you ended up with in your garage.
