Assists should count as kills

So we all have pretty much experienced the rage of stolen kills.

When you do all the damage and 1 Thunder takes the lost shot and steals the kill.

In Solo matches its a skill but what about team matches?

 

Its against the spirit of playing in a team.

So like most of FPS games have, a system where if you do more than 50% damage your assist counts as a kill.

 

The kills may be not quite of a worth but believe me, in events like war or crazy weekend, those few stolen kills can be quite frustating.

..in team matches k/d is the least important thing. Compare in-battle score if you need to boost yourself.

 

Still I put it "Under Review" as I assume a lot of players are so keen about their K/D that they will love your idea.

Simply as I don't use drugs, I do use mainly Wasp, and I often park my Wasp perpendicular to enemy Viking-Twins, if it helps to block them from chasing down my team's flag runners. For such actions I don't even get battle score.. while I lower my k/d even more.. but it aids my team, and this counts for me.

I would support an idea that increases the 15sec timer, after which your assistance in whatever-you-did-before is forgotten by the game)

yeah, I heard a lot of complaints about the new scoring too..

(I've not measured it myself yet.. but I wonder why they even changed it. The kill related scoring before the update (sharing 15 points) was pretty good)

IMHO:

..in team matches k/d is the least important thing. 

It is much less about the K/D, rather it's about the fact that the killstealer gets 3 times more score than you, despite having done much less.

I hate it when I do 90% damage to someone  while using supplies and then one of my team mates just steals my kill only for me to end up with 5 points

that's stupid

and its pathetic 80 points for flag capping (50 for ASL seems okay)

i dont see any point in doing main objective like just be a killstealer its much better to raid a base and STAY there

Instead of assists counting as kills, there should be a new counter for Assists. So when you press tab you have: Kills, Deaths, K/D Assists.

It seems that Tanki already learned, that kills are a bad lead-statistic for a war event, as they changed it with the new war to a different method.

 

But I completely agree to you that it is frustrating in case of a crazy weekend event.

As with wars, the lead statistic is badly choosen. The event lures players into playing more, and if this feels like a duty that becomes even worse by the added frustration, it has a negative effect on both: players motivation and game likeability.

 

In the end Tanki manages to demotivate it's players pretty well by choosing such lead statistics.

This is my second accont that reached Legend - in such a case the game feels a lot easier up to 600.000 xp. Around those midranks (600k xp) my k/d was around 1.33 and declines since then. There's not much magic about it.

Instead of assists counting as kills, there should be a new counter for Assists. So when you press tab you have: Kills, Deaths, K/D Assists.

yeah, like matchmaking is important lol

50% is way to low, more like 85% of the damage will be your kill.

For non-buyers, 4 containers + many supplies and crystals is vital to compete even with other non-buyers, and missions cannot be completed in Pro battles.
