Sneakiest Hack Ever - Triple Drugs (Must be Stopped!)

I am also suspicious by the way some people magically get back on their tracks after being flipped. It looks like server latency or connection problems but I can see this being a hack aswell.

I don't have any ping issues myself most of the time and I tend to shoot light hulls in the flank with Smoky + knockback alt. All shots seem to be registred by the server.. still there are players that flip and then instantly get back up. I've seen corrections like these in mid-air aswell.

Typical lag could be the case but I don't know.

Yup, same, I sometimes notice this, too. Personally, I see a tank ratting on the ground like how a plate or a coin would rattle on the table when you drop it and then they unflip themselves. Weird.

I wouldn't mind a weight buff hack for my Viking

You could actually get away with this hack and no one will ever know.

Okay so I saw this guy today:

I'm suspecting a bug in the visibility of drones since this guy had his drone equipped slightly after and then it dissappeared again.

Drones vanish when they do their job. e.g. When I run over a supply box with my Engineer equipped the drone will swoop down towards my tank and vanish. When the Battery recharge cycle comes around the Drone will swoop back up to follow behind. You could have easilly seen this sort of thing here.

I saw an enemy spawn with supplies active. It was a freeze that had been running amok. I knew it had a drone. So when I saw the drugs go up and experienced him killing me instead of my planned reverse outcome, I reckoned that drone he had was Trooper.

Here's the thing. I do not remember if I saw the drone when he spawned.  I remembered seeing a drone with him earlier but I was not looking for it when the enemy went solid.

In theory Trooper would trigger as soon s the tank goes solid. Then it'd swoop out of sight for a recharge cycle. BUT ... Drones you own are not visible until a second or two after you go solid. You spawn, you go solid, then a moment later you hear 'beep beep' and your drone pops up.

But Trooper works instantly as you go solid. Then it goes out of sight too. This might just happen so fast enemy tanks never see the drone itself. . So all these sightings and bug reports might just be spawns with Troop Drone owners. It is probably a good idea to look for drones next time you see this bug .  Watch that tank 10 -15 seconds later to see if Trooper is back

AHA! I took a closer look at the images you posted. It is grainy... but that drone you see is ... is ... is ... Trooper.

Is no Bug. Is Drone. Drone look like bug but is drone. Is not bug.

Thank you for clarifying, we now know it's not a hack but just the way Trooper disappears so quickly after spawning. I didn't knew it vanished so fast though.

What?

I wrote the first part thinking, "Maybe that tank had the Trooper Drone".  Then I posted it.  After that I looked at the images closer.  I saw the Trooper Drone some my guess was no longer a guess but an observations.  So I edited my posting to include the yellow text. It was to confirm my guess in part 1.

Yep, that's exactly what I have seen with the flipped tank.

There's another one I saw with Firebird/Wasp. The Wasp was upside down. Suddenly, one side started to raise a little, but fell. Then it raised again, a little further, but fell. It raised again, this time it was on its side. The Firebird started shooting fire and the tank flipped on its tracks. The Wasp saw me and looked at me a little too long. Then loaded a SB and skedaddled.

Another....A Thunder (Smoky?)/Hornet, I don't remember which, was upside down. He started shooting his weapon and suddenly flipped on its tracks.

But then, it's all lag, that's what the Mods tell us. Why? Because the Devs refuse to admit that their game can be hacked. After all, they put blocks in the code to p r e v e n t them, don't ja know.

Why have no mods or Nives chimed in on this to tell us there is no hacking in tanki?

Hazel why don't you come tell us there are no hackers?

Coward?

Don't remember anyone saying that there were no hackers or that the game couldn't be hacked.

I do.

Moon Silence was taken down in an effort to stop the hacking. It didn't, the hacking continued. Later, in response to a comment made by a player, a Mod said that Tanki couldn't be hacked because of the new anti-hack system that was implemented. I reported a Levitation and stair stepping hacks and was told that all the old hacks were blocked, so it must have been lag, that was about a year or so ago.  But just this year I've seen some of the old hacks in use. I mentioned that and was told it was lag. Another player mentioned the flipped tank hack. A Mod told the player that it was a system lag (or some garble-dee-gook along those lines), the tank was on its side, but the player saw it as being flipped. If that be the case, then how can a Firebird unflip itself.

Then that mod was either stupid or ignorant. Tanki Online constantly has to tweak its anti cheat system because hackers keep developing their software aswell. It's a constant battle.

I am sure this game does a lot of coding against the hackers because it would've been a complete madness if they didn't.

It's the sneaky hacks that don't get noticed like that expanded camera view. Or the area increased view. I can see the first one being super handy for Magnums but the fisheye type view is also a big advantage.

Unless the hacks are visible to others, no one is going to find out because they run software on top of the game client itself rather than a new game window built around the hack interface. The game assumes it is being run on the standard downloadable client.

Moon Silence could be brought back because Tanki Online adjusted thresholds between when or when not to auto-self destruct in relation to height gained per timespan (or angle I guess) and found an optimum.

It is now good enough to stop most of the fly hackers while causing little inconvenience for fair players due to auto- self destructs.

I can trick the system when I shoot Magnum in mid air while gaining height.. I always self destruct there.

Flying tanks wasn't the only hack on Moon Silence. That was the first time I saw the Levitation Tank and still see it occasionally. In a battle just a few months ago, I saw a tank lift slightly in the air, it was like the player was trying it out but didn't want to seem obvious about it.

Concerning the Flying Tank, the funniest I saw was a player on red team sat on the red flag, rise up, fly over the buildings, land on the blue flag, rise up and land on the red flag. I was on red. Of course we won, but it wasn't a joyous win. I felt like quitting, but didn't because I needed the crystals.

I think this is happening at the Sergeant levels. I was on a Red Alert TDM and there were two Firefly Kits that always attacked together from the same side and always with all supplies activated, not activating a third supply at the moment of attack but wearing all three as a tiara. I have never seen them attack with partial supplies or none. Both their ranks were Sergeant - no drones until WO1. I wish I could have taken a video or a snapshot of the list, but I usually don't do that as I move on to the next battle by way of habit.

@Fibbl permanent 3 drugs, no drones ever spotted, when i accused him of hacking, he said he was a dev -_-

Quite odd. Devs never reveal themselves and are usually armed with basic equipment to make sure the game is working properly.

Possibly a case of pretend mod/dev. We could do with clarification here... even if that clarification is merely a permaban.
