Lighter hulls overdrive quicker

I feel like light hulls should have a significantly increased OD rate simply because they are being good people by being aggressive players who aren't afraid to die. Plus, light hulls need a buff. Medium hulls should OD a little bit slower than the speed as now because they are kind of aggressive but at the same time they camp or just only go for the kills. Heavy Hulls should OD much slower because they basically camp and get all the kills. 

 

Although campers could go with light hulls so they OD quicker, it is probably not worth the armor trade off just to get a quicker OD simply because Shaft and Magnum players have low dps rates so their OD isn't worth as much and they could easily get sniped one shotted to completely get rid of their OD. 

 

I know there is a similar thread where higher hull modifications should have higher OD, but this is a completely different topic so please don't merge.

I think this could cause problems. If anything, heavy hulls should OD quicker, since they play as defenders much of the time and dont earn points as quickly. Light ulls, on the other and, earn score quickly and already OD faster.

I think we should get the same OD reload for everyone, but OD should last only 15 seconds, and we get 1 when first joining or when spawning.

I think this could cause problems. If anything, heavy hulls should OD quicker, since they play as defenders much of the time and dont earn points as quickly. Light ulls, on the other and, earn score quickly and already OD faster.

This SHOULD be how it works, unfortunately do to game mechanics and gameplay, this doesn't. Light Hulls who are aggressive and getting in the action only get killed repeatedly. Dying doesn't boost your OD meter. Heavy Hulls actually gain about the same EXP per battle as Medium Hulls, more often than not more EXP (look at my profile for instance, compare my Viking M3 vs Titan M3 vs Hornet M3 EXP/Hour ratios). Heavy Hulls always do better than Light Hulls in EXP. 

 

Plus, defending/camping is way too strong in TO. If you OD your entire defensive base, no one can touch your flag and the game becomes stale for at least the other team.

I think at least we are seeing yet another call for medium hulls to not be so powerful. I agree, especially that viking is OP...lights especially need help so you can succeed without drugging like no tomorrow

I started to play Titan Ricochet after you said it is a good combo (thx sensei!), I get k/d about 1 but I get limited score because Titan is slow so it needs lots of time to get into range and start damaging enemies.

Your welcome :) To be honest, it depends on your game mode and what map you are on. Maybe you have to get more used to it, but from hearing on how well you are doing with the turret, I think you are doing a good job with that combo. But I'm trying to say that Medium and Heavy Hulls totally outclass Light Hulls (even though Heavy Hulls may take a long time getting overdrive) so that Light Hulls need to be able to OD quicker. 

 

But... Medium hulls are the most OP, not heavy...

They both outclass Light Hulls. Go make another topic on nerfing Medium hulls if this isn't enough.
