Wood, wood, lights, lights....authenticity?.... Doesnt matter.....Seems like carton and paper builders got automatically 0 points for creativity. I respect good entries, but WTH hokeyrkid (6th place) and tomek0021 (9th place).  :angry:  Seems like judges were drunk. They should learn how these tanks look like in the game. :blink:  KinG-LGD.MoDe.On-PRO should be 1st place winner even with worse authenticity. I would like to see ladder with points from each 3 categories for all entries. Entries with great authenticity like mine or 8vitae8 have ended in noob runner ups section among crap LEGO builders. LEGO is no craft...damn it.

And I think the evil in edited his thing to make it glow (Hence the blurry pic, it would look odd if the tank were clear but the glow was blurry). Cmon. Thats not a craft.

if he had said no lego was allowed, then players like myself would have crafted something else. if they had judged it on creativity / design / and having a point system for them . also had it in there own sections to be judged on then things might have been more fair to all players .

you are far from loosing it sir and for me to comment on this judging well my karma from past contests will still be the same .

 

like I said above , about on  the judging could have been better .

 

also nothing will change , its best just to walk away and say nothing more . there are other contests to enter that you could win in.

Judging any handmade competition is very subjective, and I understand how frustrating results might be, but they are final.

 

Six judges cast their votes for each entry, out which we have chosen the winners based on simple highest score combined.

 

The only thing is please respect fellow competitors, and if you have doubts about judging, you're free to express them here.

OMG I cannot believe I did not win , I'm sure my tank should have at least an acknowledgement (those guys after #10) , I put a lot of work into it and it's really worth something

I admit that all of these tanks are good , and my tank is not good enough to compete with them , but I do not believe this , the results need to be reworked for sure .

 

I don't care for the rewards , I already have a gaming mouse and a ton of in-game stuff so I don't need them , but I still think the results are unfair .

 

anyway, congratulations to the winners , and I'm never participating in this kind of contests again (unless I get a 3D printer which would assure my win...)

guys the first two I knew they would win . others I'm questioning them due to the fact there were some really good ones who never got any top place rewards. for me I don't care mine was in it for fun..

 

but there should been more rules on what was allowed such as paper art over wooden carved or Items from house hold daily used products / which I believe this was the full intentions of this contest ( basic house hold items )  . did any of those win NO.. so more clarity needs to be placed in posts on what is allowed and what is not  ..for  future events.

 

see below on how Ninja did her's with the Contest team. we all had similar ideas with common house hold items. this should be in place for the next time this contest .

Create a tank that resembles any turret + hull combination from Tanki Online, the tank must be made out of common items you find around you, be that pencils, coins, matchsticks or anything else! Make sure to use physical objects only, drawings are not allowed.

 

• Your tank must be made out of common items. Tanks made out of paper cutouts, wood carvings/cutouts, 3d prints, Lego etc will not be considered.
• The tanks may not be painted in any way.
• The photo must include your nickname. The best way to do this is to write your nickname on a piece of paper and place it next to the tank you created. ​You must also include the real names of the Turret/Hull you created in the same manner. 
• You must provide at least 2 photos of your tank from different angles.

 

 

2 The jury will judge based on the following criteria

• Creativity
• How closely your creation resembles a tank from Tanki Online.
• Originality

OK... Im gonna explain the flaws of each of the entries., so hopefully the judges can see what I see.

#1: The body of the turret is wayyyy too long. The wheels look like train wheels, not tracks. Still very good, I would say 7/10

#2 Shoudnt have even been accepted, as it does not follow the rule that requires the paper to say "Tank Craft 2018.  Other than that it lacks much detail, although the proportions and tracks are very nice. Not considering that it should have been disqualified, 7/10.

#3 Poorly shaped. The turret is flat and looks very little like twins. The hull is nice, and the lights are pretty cool. 6/10.

#4 Its very sleek and well crafted, but the proportions are waayyyyyy off. Its very clearly of good quality though. 7/10.

#5 Hard to tell because of the very poor photo. I think it was edited to give it a beam effect, which is hardly fair. 4/10.

#6 Lumpy turret. The hull is nice though, and creative. 5/10.

#7 Its mostly a paper project with a little wood. Anyone can print off the templates for paper projects. 4/10.

#8 Lumpy and short, but nice-looking overall. 6/10

#9Poorly drawn and assmbled paper craft. The proportions are exceellent but the details are lacking. 3/10

#10 Its hard to judge my own project.I think the proportions are good and its highly detailed. 7/10.

 

I am an artist. I know what I am talking about. I am not one to complain about TOs judgement, but at this butchery of the judging the artist in me had to correct you guys. I dont expect a change in the prizes, since Canyon will not want to give away extra equipment. Crystals, containers and golds could easily be awarded, but I really dont care. I just want some of the judges to maybe realize that they screwed up. 

Thanks for dealing with this text wall. Ive made my point, Ill try to say no more unless someone responds to me and I need to answer. At the very least, consider this next year should the contest go on again.

Bro how did you find the pics for everyone's tanks? I can only see 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Anyways, congratz on 10th place. ;)
