I need to use a skybox for my own purposes

WOW you are making a map? Make it balanced and make a simple skybox like in Minecraft (you can even turn off clouds in Minecraft) so the people with laggy computers will be able to play that map.

I think there may be copyright laws connected with anything in Tanki. At least it seems logical. After all, all this came out of the brains behind Tanki, so, yeah seems there would be a problem with copyright laws.

I have no idea what assault cubers is, and the link is broken. Using the skybox and having them publicly host the map probably breaks a copyright rule somewhere in their EULA. If tanki wanted, they could force them to take the map down and you could get banned.

The EULA doesn't say you can't, exactly. It says you can't without permission and authorization from Tanki.

Then please avoid using any asset from Tanki Online, it might make you liable for legal action :(
