Valid Legend-only battles for MMS

I read not too long ago that if MM takes more than 1 minute 30 seconds to find  a battle, it's probably searching empty servers. If there are empty servers, why not use them for battles?

As we all know, Legend is the final rank and once you rank up from Legend you stay a Legend rank, your Legend "number" just increases. This means that, in the eyes of the game, or in the eyes of matchmaking, a Legend 20 is the same as a Legend 1, which is obviously not the case as the former has had the experience (time)  to accumulate far more crystals and thus is far more likely to have MK8 equipment, maxed modules/drones etc. even if he/she were F2P.

Now, whilst I see this as an issue in itself, my main concern is not with this, since you can argue that once you reach Legend you should have at least one MK8 combo and some decent modules with some half decent crystal management and sales, but my problem lies with how a Legend 20 is able to play with a Field Marshal or Commander for example, which seems out of this planet unbalanced?

Why are Legend battles in MM not created for Legend rank only so that they can play amongst themselves, I'm sure there are more than enough of them since 95% of the battles I seem to be joining since the Field Marshal rank I'm the only non-Legend on my team. Almost completely ruins the MM playing experience most times unless I fully drug out for the entire game. 

In an ideal scenario I would even have rank brackets within Legend ranks e.g. Legends 1-10, 11-20 play against each other but Tanki might not have a large enough active Legend rank playerbase to support relatively fast matchmaking, but I would be more than happy to wait 30 seconds rather than 15 for a far more pleasureable playing experience. Though this is just a side note, my main point is still highlghted above. 

Thoughts? Care to inform me why this isn't the case/Any dev explanations behind it?

I suggested a split shortly after Legend was introduced.  L1-L5, L6+

The L1-L5 can play with FieldMarshals, Commanders, Gismos.

Suggestion was ignored.  It's even worse now with introduction of more high-end items needed to compete.

And there's always a few braggarts out there with their Mk8's at Marshal that insist there's nothing wrong with playing against Legends.  For THEM it might be fine.  But certainly not for majority of players at that rank.

Not just MM, but even having a discussion in chat or hanging out with legend ranked players mostly feels like a waste of time. Sure some of them aren't so bad and are actually cool. But most of them are just straight up rude and obnoxious.

It is funny, back in the days, players wanted to crash battle with hihwr rank becaaue they knew that battle fund was bigger. Nowadays players wants to play with the lower rank to stay alive and will complain that they earn few crystals.

This is a team effort, if you are not the strongest in your team others will be. It goes for both team.

Its not "complain that they earn few crystals" , its about being obliterated by MK8 combos with maxed defender drones and 50% modules whilst you havent had nearly the same time to build up your garage, but of course, you wouldn't get it. 

 

Enjoy your time obliterating people with ur Mk7s at Lieut. Colonel, I can only promise it goes downhill from the general ranks.

And those other "stronger" players on your team mean you will get less rewards - even if your team wins.

It doesn't matter to the lower level players if both teams have high-level players.  Those lower-level players will still suffer in comparison and end up with scraps when dinner is served.

As a player who has an mk8 combo before the rank marshal, I too am for the time being, enjoy being somewhat of a difference maker in battles in my relaxed state. However, I also know how unbalanced the high rank battles can be compared to low ranks.

 

So while you have an mk7 at LT colonel, I'd enjoy it while I can if I was you.

So I was playing a parkour battle on my colonel account. Just having fun and doing a little bit of trolling. And then this Russian player comes in and starts targeting me just because I killed him once and obliterated his high confidence.

Thinking I could perhaps deal with him, I grabbed smoky thinking I could just knock his aim off, and hunter thinking I could stun him since he keeps coming at me.

He immediately changed to Viking and scout alteration. I held on for as long as I could before I went with Vulcan and Viking.

He left but then shortly came back on another account which had mk7 ricochet and Viking with that broken plasma torch alteration. I again held on as long as I could.

 

Finally I decided it just wasn't worth it. So I left, but not without throwing some insults at him.

 

But moral of the story, high ranked parkour battles are mostly filled with egotistical toxicities that pride themselves with useless stats and only takes one misstep before they start hunting you down with their most overpowered items.

Low ranked parkour battles will always be superior because most of the players down there just want to relax and have fun.

I am weak i don't want to play with or against stronger players.  
It is discrimination against player who did well, they also went through this path before you. It it the challenge to reach legends, that what it makes it interesting. Cruising through ranks is boring and you lose your edge.
To do well you need Mk7 equipment by lieutenant general Lieutenant General and manage a Mk8 combo by Generalissimo. If you did not you should start again and do better.
I have 2 combo at Mk8 and most of the Protection module at 42%, and probs bought less than 50 supplies (when I was a noob) and had some premium time that I barely used. My current garage is enough to compete, now is the question of shall I carry one with full 50% protection module completion or invest more in a drone and batteries. Or both. TO keeps changing drones so let's focus on protection module.

It is not my main, it is an OP alt built with hepers legacy work.

At your level it gets worse before it get better. It happens at low level too,  the progression in strenth is uneven.

Captain obvious to the rescue. Weak players will get less and will progreds slowly, no breaking news here.

There is rank were you suffer and other where you dominate. Marshall is when it become obvious when put with legend. So you think your hardship was finished?

Bragging over? Okay lets get to some real points then

None of what you said brings up any meaningful points as to why Gissimos and below should play with Legends, other than "you lose your edge", which is a personal opinion, and that's fine. All you said is what is currently true, that you need Mk8s by Gissimo to compete, but simply saying "if you don't you should start again" is both signalling that you haven't put much thought into responding nor have you come up with any negatives to my original suggestion. What are the downsides to Legends only playing against fellow Legends other than vastly improving the MM game experience for the ranks directly below Legend?

If you're going to engage with me again on this topic, please actually write something that actually adds to the discussion rather than just letting everyone know how brilliant your garage is, I'm sure most of us don't care.

Okay, so the progression in strength is uneven. Recognised. SO that's the EXACT reason why I had this suggestion to improve the progression in strength. 

Your preference for inertia is baseless as just because something 'happens at lower ranks' is not a qualification for it being good for the game or the overall MM experience.

You might've been trying to reassure me that it will get better as I improve my garage further, and I appreciate that, but that isn't addressing the issue at heart, thats more like just saying 'deal with it', which is a pointless discussion.

Well since mk7 is isn't available until Marshal - good luck with that.

Haha, i cry for making a judment on one equiment. I confirm, hammer sucks. Boohoo. Hornet is great though. Hunter sucks too, fat and slow. But OP OD, TO should nerf it for the greater good balance.
