War: Domination. Earning Stars Changes

I think "active" means a score of 100+Is this correct?  I just played two games on my alt account and in one match I had 80 and the other 90 (less than 100) and didn't get any stars for either match.  The 80 match I got in on the last three minutes of the losing team.  The 90 was a full 10 minute game in RGB on Massacre where I laid mines all over our base and didn't want to get killed...it worked, we won with me killing 3 tanks with my mines, but I came in last place with only a score of 90.

 

I didn't a star from either battle.  So is 100 score the threshold for "active"?

the way i see it now is that players are only getting one kill in battles to gain 1 star. which is wrong teams have no interest in battling now. I liked it before when you needed to make 5 kills or more to earn a star . this way you knew you were going to have to battle to get something in return.

been in a few today and no one really wants to battle there just getting what ever in kills for a star.

They still are not transparent about what is the exact threshold is to get minimum of 1 star.

This defeats the purpose of MM, does it not?

 been in battles which some players left and the system adds new players , but we still end up loosing , seen even during battles they can't be bothered staying , if they do stay they sitting garage once they make there star.

100 pts seems to be the best guuees atm. I had a game of 95 pts (0 star) and 103 (1 star).

This is nowhere near true. unless you are talking about an isida maybe that did a ton of healing and/or made a couple flag caps

No, it defeats the purpose of the revamped battle fund system.  MM is about getting you into a game. The battle fund is about keeping you there.

 

Peeps blame mm for every TO flaw. Oh well so it goes.

I'm not blaming MM - I'm blaming the way they have set up the rules for getting stars in the WAR.

 

This (undisclosed) threshold discourages players from staying in partially completed battles MM drops them into.

At the moment qualifying for containers and supporting team is at least as important as battle-fund.

i have a doubt.  tomorrow we are goin to attack on vaults.  and my doubt is that if bears win on 2 vaults, do i get 30 containers or 15 only on the vault i attacked?

You will get 15 containers for the territory you have voted for.

 

Its strategically not possible for a team to capture 2 vault territories, so make sure you choose wisely tomorrow by pressing on the 2 regions. The one which have more stars is the one you should choose. Its highly suspected that the Bears will go for Desert tomorrow. However, you have to check the Bears - Strategy and Discussion  topic in the war room.

actually its possible if you look on current situation lions will lose whole middle, wolfs and bears do some weak 5000-star duel while totally pushing lions out

The lions have very strong attack towards Future in comparison with the wolves, the same will be tomorrow.

On the other side, wolves have their strong attack towards Gravity.

 

So as I see none of the teams will risk to share attacks on vault territories tomorrow, every team will cap 1 vault instead

Nonsense. One account cannot capture 2 on one turn but a faction can 2 on one turn

I feel your pain sir. had this happen in most of my lower rank battles today . it just makes u want to leave and forget about the containers .

by the way I have insida protection and even with any protection on its like there nothing stopping them. seen too  many fast speed across the map.. now there doing is leaving me speechless .

 

for the part comment above seen players sitting off side and not killing in DM battles but they got 0 stars . others in team battles and not getting that many kills but still get stars cause there team wins . but yesterday in a battle which I had kills and got 0 stars . they were over 5 kills in the battle .

After the 2 no star games above, I played another CTF on the map I despise, Brest. That team had like 3 magnums and 2 freezes ans was up 5-0 in a heartbeat. I still had about 50 pts.  A 3rd no star game was on the horizon. fortunately I was able to zap the flag carrier before he could cap to 6-0 so that put me to 103 pts and I eked out a star.

 

This is playing with the "mighty, Overpowered" isida mind you.

 

I has enough. I bought a freeze for this accoumt when the overbuff came along but I have not got it past mu7 so I have not used it much yet.  But I am sick an tired of TO's de-evolution to Let's Fight Freezes AGAIN! So I busted out the freeze turret which I have hardly used in 2 years,

 

Next game, 1st place. Game after that 2nd. Playing with an m2_7/10 against Marshals to Legends wwith an m2 and still slaughtering.

 

The stupid thing is stupid over-buffed stupidly. SMH.  Just put it in the hands of someone who has never played TO and he'll come in 1st. Great work devs.

 

I am converting tewo more of my accunts to Freezes and I might convert the rest too. If we all have to play freeze to play TO then that's what these contaners are for.  Get used to heals only from RKs because all isidas will be freezes soon.

 

One month ago I was enjoying TO about as much as I ever have. Today I am disgusted.  Great wrk devs.

Have to echo LittleWillie here... M2 Freeze > M4 Legend equipment. I have started upgrading my M2 Freeze on sale days. That has not stopped me from topping maps with M2 2/10 against Gizmo/Legends when I play with it.

 

The forum topics will all be taken over soon with complaints about Freeze dominance, just like the game is being taken over with that turret.

well interesting when I never got any stars in this battle and even on other accounts the same issue .only got into this battle near the last few minutes seeing game was close to being over. having this happen a lot

been seeing this a lot in battles , players leaving cause of other team domination over them . why stay and get 0 stars.

It's great that they widened the levels to earn stars...vry good for everyone and it makes staying in the game more attractive even if you are losing.


 


BUT...The criteria for "active in battle" needs to be adjusted also.  It looks like it is a score of 100 and this SOUNDS reasonable, but many times MM tosses you into a hopeless situation where half the battle is finished and you are the lowest rank.  It is bad enough to get chopped up like a salsa mix, but to add insult to injury if you stick it out, you probably won't get any stars. 


 


Sure six or seven kills sounds easy, but there are times, like when you are the ONLY M2 against all M3s and M4s, that you just can't kill seven tanks.  What the up shot of this is is that EVERYONE bails from the losing team even faster than before the war.  I came in 4th place on the losing team and got no stars...4th...because my score was terrible.  


 


If MM worked properly and actually matched players, it would be fine.  But while MM insists on tossing you into meat grinder battles half finished or more against players 7, 8, 10 ranks above you, the bar needs to be lowered for stars or there is absolutely no reason to EVER endure a partial battle.

I was put in this battle when red had 93 kills. I got 40 points in less than a minute, but didn't get any stars. C'mon man, don't put me in these damn battles if you're not going to give me anything for it... Complete waste of time. 

 

"Active in battle" needs to be compared to the time spent in the battle. Otherwise it's pretty dumb.

I've finished 3 games and the number of stars shown in the bar next to the amount of crystals is still zero.  Is this a bug or the stars are shown only after 5 stars?  I mean in the game, not in the war website.  In the last turn stars were shown from the first star earned, has something changed for this turn?

What if the Stars were doubled as requirements for personal and faction progress?

 

Then 5 could be for 1st;

4 for 2nd and 3rd;

then 3 for 4th, 5th and 6th,

then 2 for all others with at least 100 points;

and 1 Star if you at least get 50 points.

Because as you know many of us feel misled here.  

Being active means different things for different modes. 

1. For DM, it means making at least 1 kill.

2..For TDM,  it means the same.

3.For CTF, capturing at least 1 flag or aiding teammates to that end

4.For CP, activwly capturing points.

5.For ASL, succesfully delivering atleast 1 flag on base or destroying atleast 1 enemy with flag.

6.For RGB, scoring atleast 1 goal

7.For JGR, same as DM
