Results of the Limerick Poem contest have been posted!

Its been around 2 years (and counting) since the newspaper switched from its bi-monthly to monthly schedule, but, it was promised that you guys will revert soon.

 

What is up?

lol, but I kind of like it monthly because it's a good read.  But whatever you do, do not make it quarterly.  Then people will forget about the news.  I know since I have a quarterly magazine.  I completely forgot about it.

You confused bi-weekly for bi-monthly.

 

Bi-weekly means twice-a-week and bi-monthly is twice-a-month.

You confused bi-weekly for bi-monthly.

 

Bi-weekly means twice-a-week and bi-monthly is twice-a-month.

So bimonthly = twice a month = more newspapers

Yes, it's true that the Newspaper was published twice a month in the past. If I remember correctly, it was around Issue 38, focused around the strong generation of writers like hog, fen, rem, kirby, Gold, soch3, tnt, etc. However the system soon fall apart when the team was split into two groups as any unavailability or departure from the team deeply affected the issues, sometimes they were postponed or consisted of articles coming only from one or two authors, creating this one-man issue paradox. Let's also not forget that this system failed despite the fact the past team had far more members than the current one.

 

We would definitely like to try it at some point as we said, since it was highly requested in the survey we held last summer, however I think we would not be able to manage two issues per month right now. We would have to split 8 or so writers into two small groups and create very small issues that would probably consist of maybe 1 contest snd 2 or three articles. We might get some additional material from the new initiative, although there is no guarantee we will find something valuable each month, so we can not fully count on this option.

 

But a good news is that we are currently planning something that may integrate more writers into the Newspapers, so if that goes well we might see the return of bi-monthly publishing schedule in the future.

Technically, bimonthly is either once every two or twice a month.  So they haven't got it confused.  And P.S. can you lower the rank for reporter so I can apply when I'm 15?
