The problems of TO [Part 1: The gameplay]

Right, but little of that has to do with how many supplies he or she has.

He..

Here is why you have that amount of drugs:

1. Not many people drug at that rank

2. You bought one of the most OP kits for that rank bracket

3. You have previous experience in the game rather than these noobs who don't really know anything about it.

1. Funny that like 100 each go poof nearly every week (and get replenished :3)

2. And it is the cheapest kit for that rank bracket. Plus, MUing it helps a lot.

3. Whenever I am on the chats (most of the time, when celebrations aren't happening), I try to advise as many newbies as possible, to get good stuff with a plan. And even advise them to ask in What to buy? Which is better? topic. Not my deal if they do not want to read a bit, or simply ask somebody (which doesn't shame them or undermines them) like me.

Most of the time, it is WOs giving crappy advices to real newbies, and them messing up. Don't know why they think that WO is a bigger rank, or are more experienced players in general, than Brigadier+.

This game has turned from skill demanding tank battle game to arcade mode of fighting game, where skills are not credited in the game play as they used to be.

Now a mediocre or even a noob player can make him/herself to a P2W hero.

- Balancing hulls to be more of a same in each category

- Bringing Overdrive to make it easier for noobs and buyers to stay alive and deteriorating the need for skills.

- Bringing drones and batteries to finally neglect the skill factor.

- Bringing OP turrets like magnum and freeze into the game.

- Making "Catch the flag" mode to a "Steel enemy flag from your team member" mode  (flag now gives you 100 points (100% increase)

- Bringing match making and forcing to play unwanted maps in 10 min battles and destroying the social aspect of the game with it.

The "skill" of using drugs?  We should discuss the skill of using the selected hull/turret combo, which in in the core of the game.

This game is in a death spiral.  Current player base does not support F2P mode anymore, due to past mistakes and due to age of the game,  and that's why game is now just milking the last drops from buyers before the Byebye.

1. Hulls just have same health, at M3 in the same weight category. No other stats are same.

2. Overdrive is actually for those who keep saying "no skill 12345  hhh". They can compete, even if it takes about like 2 minutes to charge a overdrive, and 40 seconds lasting. And, to top it all off with a nice touch, you can share your overdrives with your teammates, yes.

3. Drones don't actually make a big difference in any battles. They are just cool looking pixels on top of your tank, mostly.

4. You can easily counter a Magnum by going up close, or just dodging the shells when you hear them (sounds should be on). As for Freeze, it was just recently buffed, and it is here in this game since July 10, 2010.

5. The points from capturing a flag actually depends on how many enemy there are. 1 enemy = 10 exp per capture.

6. I rarely found, or find now, anyone socialising in a battle. It is just plain sabotaging if you are wasting your time chatting, while you can do so much more for the team. And, most of the time anyone talked, it was "hahaha noob rekt d3s" or stuff like that, add some profanity just. To socialise, just go to General 1 chat channel and don't be salty.

7. If you do not or did not know, supplies are actually a core aspect of the game. Using your supplies efficiently is actually 'skill'. But, if you are not using any, or rarely use them at Lieutenant General, you are basically sabotaging your own team.

8. This has been said many times, but, I have to say it again (oversimplified), that rarely people play a single game for 2 years or more, let alone 5+. Plus, due to Tanki's age, and 'unappealing' graphics, along with its ageing platform, it does not appeal to the gamers of now. And the developers have stopped advertising it, or rarely do so. Still, this game pops number at 28k+ at times. That is a lot, while taking other games in account for.

The main argument is still that this game is now an arcade mode P2W -game when earlier it was closer to F2P game where skills did have a bigger difference than they do now.

Wasp and Hornet are more close in terms of performance than they were earlier.  I loved the earlier very agile wasp and still use it, but it is not that nice anymore.

Hunter and Viking are more close in terms of performance than they were earlier.

Magnums? Easy to kill by "just going up close".  Easier said than done, when two magnums sit on top area  behind some wall.

I do know freeze was buffed just recently, and I was discussing about the state of today,

I have been playing since 2015, and can definitely tell you that the grind was far more frustrating than of now.

Actually, I think they are pretty different, as Wasp is pretty light, and 'tilts' a lot more in all directions than Hornet. As for Hunter and Viking being close, Viking has more speed and Hunter has more stability.

Been there, done that. If your team, however, is bad, you can do nothing other than simply leaving. Not worth it to waste like 50 of each supply for a team that wouldn't even care if they won or lose. For Freeze, just don't take a close range turret and shoot them as they come at you like zombies. Do make sure you have a handy speed boost ready, so that you can finish them off while they circle you.

Well, I have been playing at least from 2014 with different accounts and I can definitely tell you that in the old days skills did have much more say to the game than  now.  The turning acceleration of Wasp was far superior than it is now and it did a big difference.

Over and out.

The only question I ask is why do they have to stop us from doing missions in pro battles. They can implement something like matchmaking or have the server spawn 10 minutes pro battles and I am wholeheartedly ready to play in them. Same with events.

Now you're being funny.

I was simply asking you, that how skills mattered before the smart cooldowns updates? If you know, you could just press 2,3 and 4 when you spawned.

And by others, I meant to tell you that such updates happened. So and so.

I sometimes play PRO battles without drugs are they are way more funny than MM battles full of drugs. So what is the point of drugs? Drugs ruin this game...

Dodging the shells is not really effective because Magnum has extremely strong splash. When you rush against enemy Magnum with Hornet Fire/Freeze, it just 1-shots you so going up close is not really a solution. Some Magnums (and Thunders) even do not camp and fight at close range so they do not miss.

Everyone who does not camp with Thunder, Vulcan, Railgun, Shaft or Magnum is a noob and should be easily destroyed by close and medium range turrets.

Someone rolling around Brigadier with M1 and M0s is sure to find nearly every battle, unfair.

Yes, dodging the shells is not an option for a M1 Titan. And as for rushing against with Hornet + Fire/Freeze, its stupid anyway.

lolwut?

Hmm.. did not see it as a question.  Anyway.. good for all to know.

They weren't, but there's no reason why they shouldn't be. Ignoring the P2W aspect of them, supplies take a lot of skill to use. Knowing in which order to activate them and when takes a lot of practice and can give you a massive advantage over another player, who also has infinite supplies but doesn't know how to use them.

Ohhhh maxi big the skillz...         giphy.gif

.

you shouldn't hate buyers , without them this game would eventually close because the developers will not have enough money to run the servers , so yeah , you should thank them instead for giving you this free fun .

I never said I did.

Right, but little of that has to do with how many supplies he or she has.

May you elaborate on that?

May you elaborate on that?

Let me do the work.

Any tanker, who would spend just 10 minutes to read about stuff in the game, to get better, rather than abusing those who are better than them is a sensible tanker.

Everything any newbie needs to know is available on the forum (via newspaper and players' suggestions) and on the wiki. Just do at least 1 mission per day, and you would be having near-bottomless pockets for your rank, in no time.

ahem

Before I begin this 2 part series I would like to clarify that this is not

  1. a "Tanki is Dying" post
  2. a hate rant about druggers and buyers.

In addition, despite my rank, I have over a year and a half of experience in this game.

I'm not hating on supplies, I just hate that they are a core part of the meta.

that guy barely plays on that account..

now yes you see he does but only for war

it is very easy to save drugs if you only play enough to complete missions everyday

but op already explained how the drugs you get won't even last you 3 days..

of course he's talking about people who play and not those who only do missions and play during war

Sure, I 'barely' play on that account. Spending around like 20 minutes a day, for a guy like you who suggested to award people for playing 15 hours+ everyday is 'barely'.

20 minutes is like just 2 battles -_-

and when you have equipment above your rank you don't have to use that much drugs -_-

I can do my missions in that time. No need to waste more time, while you can do other things like study or (in-game) parkour.
