Less enemies → Less active protection modules

Oh you're right. I had never thought about the second point.

 

Would it actually be better if we don't slice the price then, only the protections?

 

I know it would mean that modules would become overpriced, but i mean everyone would feel it equally, so technically it would be balanced right?

The price needs to be 1/10 of the current price so everyone could afford all 14 modules.

Yes, no price reduction would be more fair.

 

I think it's too late now. When they created the split modules, they should have adjusted then (actually - during paint separation).

Should have made...

m0 = None

m1 = 10%

m2 = 20%

m3 = 30%

m4 = 40% max

 

IF there ever is a downgrade, they will have to do some kind of compensation - since not all players invested.

 

Won't do crystals, and really - for some it won't be fair trade.

 

Maybe free drone (upgraded) + HUGE supply of batteries

or

Free animated paint or XT skin or something of value...

why do they need to be able to afford all 14 modules?

In order to defend against every turret. These modules should not be very effective, they should help only slightly:

 

M0-5%

M1-10%

M2-15%

M3-20%

M4-25%

Well if I paid (example only) 1M crystals for 50% protection versus shaft, and then next day I'm only getting 35% (or whatever) protection vs shaft, I've lost ground have I not?

 

But my suggestion is pie-in-the sky as they seem to change stuff all the time without compensation

Doesn't mean players won't be upset though...

But every single player will have to pay 1M for that 35% protection. Future players who buy and upgrade it after the update will still have to pay the same amount for that 35% as you did, which is 1M crystals. Aren't you all still on the same boat then? The only difference would be you used to have 50% for that same price.

If they (hypothetically) don't spend that 1M on the modules then they are not in same boat.

However, in long run you are correct - they likely will buy modules, or fail to compete.

 

But...

1) I doubt they alter modules by a lot, if any

2) I doubt Devs give compensation as they have rarely done so in the past.

True i guess. But protection modules need a fix. 

 

I've only ever been a low M1 but i can already tell that 50% is too high.
