Protection Module Activation + Cooldowns

Protection Modules need a huge nerf. If you don't believe this, I don't know what to tell you. Leave this topic because you're wrong. 

 

Protection Modules should be activated like supplies. Basically, if I press a key, then 1 of my module slots are activated for about 20-30 seconds. There would be a cooldown timer for when the next module I can use is. This doesn't require you to buy any sort of supply except for the protection module itself.

 

Protection Modules would obviously lose value after this so maybe a 50% price reduction would make sense (and refunds). 

 

 

This way we are actually not directly nerfing the stats of the module and we are actually not making the module worse, it's just that we are now adding a limit to when we can use a specific module.

The controls in this game can't be made any more complex, i.e. no more new keys. That's one of the reasons why drones activate automatically, rather than via a separate key, so a new key for modules definitely won't happen.

 

The best that can happen is an option to disable protection modules completely (when creating the battle), but that's another topic.
