Why have all close range turrets been nerfed without this being announced? On Wiki Firebird, Freeze and Isida all have minimum damage range at 20, used to be 25. Not a needed change imo, and should have been announced if this was planned. Or is it just a Wiki error?

Fair point yes, in - game confirms. Actually it is in the patch notes also, that is strange. Reducing the range is not a good change imo, so basically Freeze is now back to the same or worse than it was before the changes with such reduced range... and Firebird and Isida nerfed.

 

I like scoring changes for CTF/RGB/CP but the range nerf on melee turrets definitely was not needed imo.

Worse thing they've done to Isida (lately) is mess with the scoring. Healing score is way, way down. You struggle to get in upper half of team.

 

Might as well ditch healing altogether, gulp down DD's and kill as many tanks as you can. Seriously - it was a terrible nerf.

My Vulcan/Titan M4 is inflicting self damages alot than that it used tobe, with and without fire protection module!! :ph34r:

I think its a bug from the Firebird increased burning time is causing it.

 

And yes, currently as it is Vulcan is not playable, and wasting loads of supplies for no kills -_-

 

Further-more Vulcan need to Buffed but not to be nerdify as it's being already nerdified alot alot alot <_<

I know, right. Since the overheating buff of firebird update, it's somehow affecting the self afterburn of Vulcan too. It has basically left Vulcan useless. I can shoot much lesser rounds before self destruction then before. I used to play with mammoth and Vulcan, but now even when I drug like crazy, I hardly can stand for 10 seconds in a map. I hope the developers take notice and do something about it. Already, Vulcan was under powered turret, and now this. -_-

I think Vulcan overheat should differ for different hull types, and that can be achieved with percentages, that means less damage to light hulls and more to heavy ones.

I agree partly with what you said, however based on the laws of thermodynamics a big heavy tank would heat up slower and cool down slower as apposed to a small tank with less iron heating up fast but also cooling down fast.  That being said it would really be great if it were possible because it would give the Vulcan two different types of users, the defenders in the big tanks and the runners in the small tanks. They would get the best use out of the heat sinking properties of both hull types.  

 

When it comes to cooling down, a Freeze would be able to cool a small hull faster than a big hull based on the same principals of thermodynamics. Why in the world an Isida cools a tank is way beyond me though.  I get the whole repairing damage, but cooling just seems ridiculous. Who knows what the great Russian Dev's minds are thinking.

 

The Vulcan could be atop a Hornet or Wasp and be useful in close range attack mode. Lets face it, a small hull never last long at the battle line so the overheating suicide would be no worse than getting killed by an enemy with the exception that suicides cost your team, your K/D and I expect eventually your reputation points.

Yep, please fix Vulcan it is currently almost useless. On my M1.10 Vulcan account I've had to switch to using an M1 Freeze I got with a kit as Vulcan is now so weak it's not worth bothering to use it. Sure you can still win if you are 100x better than your opponents but you literally can't do continuous fire anymore. Needs fixed asap.

Not something the wiki says is possible, but I had it happen just now, twice.

You guys have only one burning mechanic for Firebird and Vulcan? Vulcan overheats just like someone getting hit by Firebird now. This seriously needs to get fixed, Vulcan is completely useless now.

Thanks for making firebird look like a joke.  My old M1 10/10 is now worth M3 and my new one is a puff of smoke.  Thanks for wasting all the 94600 crystals I spend MUing it.  50 damages at M0 is a joke.  Even smoky wins against it now!  And you decreased afterburn so we'll have to rely on it.  Amazing job!  Might I remind you if a freeze steals your thunder by cooling it.  Now it's a lowly candle fire compared to every other turret.  Great, I'll have to invest in isida or something else now.  A great thanks to all Tanki Devs!

Mate, Firebird was buffed. Or so I found anyway.

It used to be fun. With the changes over the last 12 to 15 months, it mostly just dies a lot. DH.98 still shows its prowess from time to time. It (and two dedicated and skilled teammates) lead a comeback in a Kunger CP earlier today. The speed and firepower can be intoxicating in close battles (which are very rare with the way MM works).

 

DH.98 was the WWII British Mosquito. Wasp-rail was a good idea two years ago. Now, I play it for a change of pace and skills honing. With OKDad70, I have M3+ Twins and Viking. That was fearsome before the great leveling several months back, before nearly everything was made like nearly everything else. Now twins is a mediocre blunt object. Viking can be one-shot by multiple turrets. I often use M3+ Titan when respawning too much with the Viking. Slow is less fun. I was using a well MU'd Vulcan with it. Now, that is a little beyond frustrating. Ricos can knock off the aim now that gyro is so weak. Overheat is silly. Overall, it just isn't playable at the moment. It amounts to a slow-motion shaft that likes to self destruct. Not how I wanted to use it. I prefer melee.

 

I play most with a well MU'd Rico-Dic that I call Ricos Suck! (Ricosck) It was admission that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Ricochet is a bit OP. If dictator was a little more stable, it would be a more fun combination.

 

Freeze is still a little OP. Firebird, I have no complaint. It seems as useable and not much harder to fight. Isida still stink. I would like isida removed from the game. Alternatively, it should have damage and heal swapped. It should have damage range shortened and heal range extended. It should be a healer, or it should be removed from the game. Isida really stink up the place in DM. Should not be allowed in DM.

this firebird is good most only in non-drug battles, when someone use rapair kit your effect is gone.

but i dont understand some things

with or without double dmg firebird burning dmg always same, why? i found it unfair, becaouse when opponent have double armor effect is half, so??? why when he dont have nothing i have DD he still get same burning dmg?

a note to any forum mod that is bothering to read this, 100$ is WAY to high for 1 skin, new or not, its completely insane to be charging that much for only one item, that previously you could get two for, but if they throw in an extra 20 containers, I'll call it even
