Replace Terminator's Striker with Firebird

The turret really does not need two long range weapons. It should have a Firebird that sprays napalm when you holds down the space bar. It could even potentially have 3 or 4 of them to spray in all directions to deal with those obnoxious freezes.

Unlikely idea, but I agree that Terminator needs a change. Of all the different turret devs could use, they just had to choose the most useless ones. Railgun with the fast charge-up time is OK (but annoying because it often doesn't 1-shot medium hulls), but Striker is pretty terrible, even with the fast lock-on and 6 rockets. Although I'm not sure if I'd want Firebird instead of Striker, since Striker is good for taking out tough enemies at medium-long range, while for really close range you have the overdrive knockback effect.

Although I'm not sure if I'd want Firebird instead of Striker, since Striker is good for taking out tough enemies at medium-long range, while for really close range you have the overdrive knockback effect.

On to , you can encounter M3 mammoths. Even 6 missiles can't destroy the mammoth if he uses Repair Kit at the right time. Even Viking M2 can do the trick. Idea is good, because sometimes even Striker is useless, especially when freezes are close.

 

To activate OD, you need to destroy 2 tanks. Soo, if you are frozen, and you have noone to kill, you are very likely die.

True, especially considering that Juggernaut takes full self-damage from his own missiles. Countless times I've seen Juggernauts shoot an enemy next to them and take off 90% of their own health as well, either dying in the process or becoming an easy target for others to finish off.

It had to be Striker and Rail, because Hazel wanted to drive that C&C Mammoth  ;)

I think they could fix it if the Striker salvo would still deal splash damage, but won't receive self-damage.

True, but a Juggernaut with a stronger turret could be way too strong and overpowered for others to kill, especially for lower ranks, since the super tanki is already quite difficult to destroy.

Striker (normal and Terminator version) would be perfect with two things: no self-damage and ability to launch a salvo without locking on to a target. Because what happens a lot of the time now is that you spend precious seconds locking on, but then the victim either dies before you lock on or breaks line of sight. It's good that we can lock on to a target and send guided missiles their way, but would be nice if we could just launch a barrage of non-guided rockets going straight ahead if we lose the lock-on.

Firebird or other short range turrets doesn't require skills and it will be much easier to camp with Juggernaut, same with Mammoth's OD. Most of the players camp with JGR and camping will be much easier if JGR gets short range turret. No one will be able to come near you.

 

I would suggest to simply buff JGR's Striker... Increase auto-aim and reduce target locking time.

Camping with short range turrets? Seems like a good idea. I will try that with my Fire Wasp xD
