New firebird does really show what afterburn is capable of!

Only isida is now good from close range turrets.

Freeze is still the strongest one. Isida gets low score for healing and it can attack only for 5 seconds and it has 10 second reload (Freeze can attack for 7 seconds and has 8 second reload).

Firebird feels weaker now, could be just me.

Try to avoid spraying until the opponent is dead, use afterburn for the last bits of HP. Its a lot quicker and once you adjust your play style, its a lot more powerful.

Yeah I'll certainly have to change my gameplay style. I'm to used to waiting around to finish the enemy off.

Noob Firebird players don't know how to adjust their gamestyle. It's really OP if you use it correctly. It's now more of a hit and run type gun, where you just have to hit the opponent for 2 seconds, run, and then they burn to death instantly. Try compact tanks for this.

Nerrfj cuz I lost against it!!11!1!!!!1!!1!!!

The only thing here that I see that needs a buff is your skill in this game.

Energy pool (attack duration) as of now is... still 7 seconds?

Yes

Firebird/Freeze/Isida are actually nerfed it turns out, all had their minimum damage range reduced to 20. Don't see the point in that as the ranged turrets were already so strong, and damage nerf is enough for Freeze.

I think it should sharpen their profile. So make the range smaller, deal a lot of damage in close range (Freeze still does, the plain 30% buff before was ridiculous regarding the balance tbh), widen the cone angle to hit more enemies in close range, higher weak damage (which mainly leads to more damage at the end of the range). Also only Freeze and Fire can influence the temperature of other tanks. Fire's direct damage on M4 was nerfed slightly from 760 to 700 and in lower M levels stronger. This is due to the buff of the afterburn damage. When you test Fire you can see that the afterburn damage value is obviously 300 per sec and it's the same over all the modification levels. A while back the wiki stated an afterburn damage of 30 per sec, but I don't know if there were changes in the meantime. On the other hand the burning time was cut in half on M4 level. Double damage does not affect the afterburn damage parameter (unlike DA) but it affects the heating rate.

Hey, they didn't say that. I checked the wiki and you are right, they got those stats changed without mentioning them. Why are tanki devs doing this?

The change was announced in the last patch note.

I just bought M1 Freeze on my alt gorgoblesk99 (while already having M1 Fire) and now Fire turned better than Freeze? 20000 crystals lost!

Time for new alt? No, it is still OP with Predator kit and M1 Viking but if I bought Rico (or saved for Hornet?) instead of Freeze...

lol thats too much M1's, You should've gotten a good kit with a combination you would use in the future and MU it to M2

my m0 firebird wrecks house against m1's, i cant imagine how good it is if upgraded. dont listen to what people say, FB itself has low dps but the afterburn damage is ridiculous.

I played DM with M1 Viking Freeze and it is still quite powerful. I have not tried new Firebird yet (I am kinda scared of that weapon now xD)

It was a joke, because the other guy said it was too OP. So I said like if I were him: nerf because I lost against it. No need to call me a noob, learn to read first.

I haven't put much time on the "New & Improved!" Firebird yet, but, if I'm reading everything here correctly, Firebird is more a hit and run turret now? The compact tanks alteration (burn) doesn't seem to be doing much. Is it better to not have them engaged now?  With the high pressure pump alteration (distance) engaged it also didn't seem to be working. Were the specs changed on either of the alterations? (Firebird M2 MU 10/10)

I didn't mind the Freeze overbuff - only people's reactions - but this creature is honestly OP. A monstrosity. And it relies on the afterburn. Previously I never cared about the afterburn, too minuscule, but now I might even buy Fire. Just nerf the M2 alt though.

Indeed, this new turret is afterburn. The base damage is almost irrelevant.

I prefer Firebird without any alterations, I'm totally aware that the M2 alt is powerful, but the trade-off isn't worth it in my opinion.

This way, even if an opponent uses a repair kit you will still have sufficient amount of energy to take them out.

It's pretty sad, at this point the afterburn is completely insane, I mean, if you are playing as a Firebird and encounter another Firebird with the same hull, same microupgrades and a DD, the DD doesn't matter, you both are gonna die, just for the afterburn.

At least that's what I've ± noticed.

Compact Tanks literally does nothing helpful now.  The description still says it increases burn damage, but it doesnt. The only change is less fuel -_-

Try DA.

They made the regular firebird into a Compact Tank firebird with OP burning effect. Double Armor doesn't help against firebird because you end up getting burned more and longer, so you are dead no matter what.

I noticed that a few Firebird players don't even bother to focus on me anymore, many seem to just drive by and shoot once on everything in their range then continue in their merry way. Then you see tank popping in their wake one after another soon after.
