Personally, I don't think Friendly Fire belongs in this game. I don't see that it has a purpose.

I just left a battle with Friendly Fire activated. It's so seldom used, I didn't even think to look. I was using my alt account with Isida/Hornet. Battle mode was RGB 2 player teams on Rio.

I was on my way to grab the ball, passed by my teammate, healed him and went on. I grabbed the ball and he killed me. Now, somehow that seems unfair. I can heal a teammate and not do damage, but my teammate can kill me. There's something wrong with this picture.

Answer the Poll and tell us your feelings towards Friendly Fire.

Friendly fire is supposed to be a more challenging option for professional players, for whom the lack of friendly fire is unrealistic and too basic. It does add an additional challenge and make you think carefully where you're shooting, but unfortunately it only really works for private battles with professional teams (e.g. eSports tournaments), rather than random battles that anyone can join. It's pretty clear that in random battles with friendly fire a lot of players prefer to intentionally kill/sabotage their teammates for personal benefit or general trolling, rather than try to win the game and avoid damaging teammates.

I personally would only play Friendly-Fire mode if it is for eSports or Clan Wars. Otherwise, I would leave the battle the moment I find out Friendly Fire is on. If you don't like it, don't play it.

I always purposely kill my fagnum teammates because they always end up killing me.

I wouldn't kill you....I can't kill you. All I can do is heal you as you kill me.

I like friendly fire.

It can make some great game modes, such as:

CTFDM

CPDM

TDM (Literally)

RGBDM

Interesting concept. Now that we can put titles to created battles, this should be added as part of the title. Example: Join my CTFDM. My Isida will not be joining your party.

That what gets me confused, Tanki is probably one of the most Unrealistic game there is with flying tanks that weigh more than a ton doing "parkour" and actual moving paints along with so many other  unrealistic things , so if tanki added it to be "realistic" it wont have any affect at all

It's not exactly realism, but more like just an additional challenging option. Some people may think that it's wrong to have the same explosive shot deal damage to enemies and not fiends, and to them this mechanic may seem too easy and "childish", so having friendly fire as an option would satisfy these players.

"...too easy and "childish"..." Really? Then how come not more battles are created with Friendly Fire activated. Personally, I think it's activated to legally break Tanki rules, which is a total contradiction.

I said "some" prefer it. Most players don't think that lack of friendly fire is too easy.

Friendly fire is for customised battles only, so if you play MM you won't need to worry about it.

Normal battle is the safest and easiest place for players to play the game as it is all locked on specific parameters that all players must abide by. On the other hand, pro-battles is more open with the customisation option that offers a wilder environment with more freedom so you need to accept the potential abuses linked to it.

In PRO-battle the Friendly fire is mainly used by e-sport players for training and competition. Consequently if you are not interested by e-sport then avoid those Pro-Battles from the menu. Check the menu and avoid battle with this logo Button_FriendlyFire.png.

As usual some players abuse the available options from the customisation pro-battle and Friendly fire is one of them. They will create battles to their advantage and lure other unaware players in those battles and in the confusion will generate/grab make more xp and crystals. Check the menu and avoid battle with this logo Button_FriendlyFire.png.

It is not about fair or unfair, but about do you wish to enter a battle with Friendly fire ON and accept the consequences of this specific option!

If you want to know more about pro-battle options read the wiki article: PRO_Battles
