The ability to shoot down drones

Basically I could purposely miss the enemy tank and hit their drone in order to disable their drones (including paused battery usage) until they respawn (for the trooper drone, it would skip 1 respawn). Or, if I'm using a splash gun such as Thunder, Striker, or Magnum, I could splash the drone, and if it takes enough damage it will be shot down.

I don't think anyone would intentionally try shooting one down when they can hit the target anyways but I think it would be great for gameplay. If you just reckless start swaying your tank back and forth, your auto-aim could potentially lock onto their drone instead of their tank, causing you to miss their tank and have their drone soak up some damage. If you miss the center of their tank, you might auto-aim onto the drone instead. This feature would help skilled players have an advantage over the noobs who just try spraying twins with little aim.

I like this feature, its new and unique and adds to the intensity of the gameplay. however, I don't see why it should be added to the game , I mean , who would want to shoot the drone instead of shooting the tank itself. In other words, it would be hard to have your auto-aim lock on the drone , especially with the drone's maneuverability and weird movements , making it extremely hard to be shot. What I see best with this feature to work is a bulls-eye kinda thing that would focus on who you want to shoot at , like that in TX, then this feature would be perfect if a hotkey was to be added that would change the focus onto the drone instead of the tank.

You can aim for drone to prevent his ability (Mechanic -> Repair gives more HP) and make the tank weaker. Or maybe, when you use drone, you can aim tank and destroy it.

What he said.

Also, a lot of turrets in this game has crazy auto-aim features that have a large angle for aiming (Twins/Rico) for example. A lot of players now will start shooting and they don't care about how accurate their aim is, their tank could sway back and forth but their shots don't miss. This will add an aspect of that you have to aim better to actually hit ur target and not the drone.

Not to mention, I expect most of the time, the drone will die due to splash damage.

Drone HP should depend on hull, that means drone on M0 hull should have 500 HP, drone on M1 hull 650 HP, drone on M2 hull 800 HP and drone on M3/M4 hull 950 HP.

If the drone was destroyed, it would fall on its hull and deal 250 damage (M0 hull), 300 damage (M1 hull), 350 damage (M2 hull) or 400 damage (M3/M4 hull).

Damage dealt by fallen drone would count as damage from enemy turret, not as self-damage. If you shot down a drone with Shaft and fallen drone killed your enemy, it would be counted as a regular Shaft kill, same with other turrets.

New module could be added to reduce the damage dealt by fallen drones. It could be kinda popular among hardcore druggers.

I think there should be more health for lighter hulls' drone than medium and heavies. Although this doesn't make sense logically, light hulls need to be actually good at something for a change.

Yes, I like how you can shoot down drones for damage on the enemy.

Than the drone would act as a shield, thus increasing their crystal value, and making them much more effective

The shot down drone would fall on you and deal 250-400 damage. Not a very good shield, right?

Target practice.....Yessssss. My teammate would be killing the tank and I'd be killing the drone. Good teamwork.

Or you just both shoot the tank so it dies faster and hits you less.

The idea is interesting, but drones aren't powerful enough to consider shooting them over the tank, meanwhile splash become even more powerful. Bad idea with current game balance.

I personally think that for Shaft players it would be a good advantage to destroy enemy tanks by shooting at its drones. When shooting the drone with Shaft, the drone would explode, causing a lot of damage to enemy tanks, causing the enemy tanks to be destroyed by the impact of drone splash damage. The splash damage would destroy enemy tanks, but not causing self-destruction like when you self-destruct by shooting your Thunder or Magnum at a wall.

Enemy tanks would be immediately destroyed by the massive explosion caused by the drone. Any nearby enemy tanks would also be destroyed or suffer fatal damage. Such a feature would be very useful in team battles to clear clusters of enemy tanks when trying to steal flags in CTF, balls in RGB or even gold boxes in intense gold box bullfights in Tanki Online.
