i speak english french dutch and german. 5 of the 7 world languages. IF the russians only learned one like ehhhhm ENGLISH........... it would make lots of players happy.

And as tanki is rushian from origin it should know that if u want the world to play on it u need te use......ehhhhmmmmm ENGLISH.

Or am i the oonly one thinking this??

oh my god, DUTCH AND GERMAN ARE NOT WORLD LANGUAGES..

given that most of the players are russians, if you could learn russian it would make most of the players happy, because most of the players are russian

and as you are playing a russian game you should know that if you want to play it you need to use russian

It is interesting, this is exactly how wars can be fought. Each side holds all others responsible for the misdeeds of some, and is no willing to see that very few "sides" are only full of one type of person. For example, while I have not interacted with many "Rushian" players, if I see someone swearing in English, I usually assume they are from my country. This is not always true, but certainly english speakers are not innocent of egotism and selfish play. I am guilty too lol. How many Americans know a language fluently besides their own?

Listen to what? The battles are all written in Russian and we can't read it. Nothing more to say.

If you read this topic, you'd know we're already doing something about it.

You don't have to use Russian in order to play this game, it's a matter of choice if a player wants to learn a few words to coordinate better with his/her team-mates. Russians can also learn few EN words in order to better coordinate with others... it's all about choices and compromises :)

I know for a fact that in many European countries people don't speak English at all since they are nurturing and focusing on their own languages; all the movies that are originally in English are synchronized and they don't have much opportunities to learn or practice English at all, especially if they didn't travel abroad. It is visible in EN community every day on the chat, that's one of the reasons we are hiring moderators from different countries, so they can help players by speaking in their own language. Also, saying that "Russian mentality of most players is egoistic" (aside of a few exceptions) is too much, I really wouldn't generalize like that...

Are you ..kidding me? Only cartoons are synchronized! All games around are ENGLISH! All movies are English!

If I learn RU, I can use it only to talk in Russia. But if they learn English, they can speak it everywhere. When a tourist comes to my country and officials see he/she doesn't speak Croatian (I am from CRO), they'll ask him/her "Do you speak English? Do you speak German?* Do you speak Italian?**", not "Do you speak Russian. That's in many countries too.

*Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

**Parlare il Italiano?

I had read, not long ago, that Russian schools taught English, French and German, but more recently French and German has become less popular. Some schools started teaching a foreign language in the 4th grade, others started in the 2nd grade. To learn a foreign language was not just a recommendation, it was mandatory. Is this not true anymore?

Next time you visit Spain, Italy, France, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium... see for yourself, movies are dubbed  :) In most of these countries communicating in English with locals (especially in smaller towns and remote places) can be quite a challenge.

Not all games are in English. The other day, I downloaded a free game from the Microsoft store. The entire game is in Japanese even the introduction and the tutorial. During the tutorial you are put into the game against AIs. The commentator will tell you what to do next...in Japanese!

Not all movies are in English. On Netflix the movie description is in English, but the movie may be in a foreign language. I can turn on Closed Caption which will usually translate into English, but not always. Sometimes the Closed Caption translates into another foreign language. Movies made in an English speaking country will have the dialogue in English, but if it's made in a country that speaks a language other than English, then the dialogue will be in the native tongue of that country.
