Well my enthusiasm over a supposed Vulcan buff turned out to be pointless. Again, why do we get clearly a untested change released on the live servers? What is the test server for? Who thought that a 3 second spin-up time would be a good addition? Why are the devs so bad at balancing Vulcan? How hard would simply buffing the damage and range be?

 

For awhile I though game balance was bad because it was neglected while other things were being worked on but now I see Hazel has no idea what he is doing.

omg,vulcan is so useless now ,after the update when i first play vulcan,i was like when the f*** this thing gonna start firing ?

i mean really this developers are bunch of useless fa ggots.

only me that see that power indicator is totally useless ?

It is useless,now i cant know how many mu my enemy has in hull/turret .All i see is a number which is completely useless to me .

Regarding the power rating, huh? Really, what is it telling me? Am I just supposed to see that the opponent is higher or lower? What might it actually tell me? He might have M3+ heavy hull with M3.0 turret. I'm guessing at this point, but it just seems the number is a sum of some values you have assigned to the light/mid/heavy hulls for each M+MU combination. I can't tell if turrets are ranked, but it seems it is a value assigned by M+MU also. It sums in the protection set, but it seems to only be by percentage, not something that might matter to me.

 

Example regarding protections. If have Twins mounted, and the opponent is a M3+ heavy hull, M3+ turret, and three 50% protection modules, he will have about the highest score, but if he doesn't have Twins protection, he is still vulnerable to me, even though my score might be significantly lower for having an average protection set of 40%, but one against his turret, and a medium hull. I probably still have the advantage, even though I have a lower score.

 

This looks like a very useless idea. Put it back the way it was. I at least knew what things meant.

 

It was hard to look at, but I could when I needed too. Now, I can't tell what the sum means. It has no signficance in battle. It won't tell clans anything that I can tell.

 

The power number seems to have no point at all.

This is not a buff for vulcan its game play is ruined its a nerf, extra damages are not worth what you have done please make it how it was it was fine before.. oh give a chance you get used to it ... you give a buff to freezy , fire , isida and not to vulcan why. The slower spin up is rubbish and we all know that the alts make no difference what so ever never have from day one.

 

 

 you just ruined vulcan.

 

We all know rail and hornet is dev fav combo all art work is xp, champion ships for years xp favoritisim for xp/ bp their own special format get over your love of it and do the same for other players who dont like xp.. still no heavy format  in game

There aren't enough players who play formats other than XP/BP. Look at DR and XC for example.

 

XP/BP was added because it was a popular mode even without dev support.

Luckily I have the modified firing rate alt for Vulcan in my other account.  With the alt and with hunter the firing time is hilariously longer than before while still having "normal" waiting time for firing.  I can keep my close range fighting mode while shredding enemy from longer distance as well.  The alt does reduce damage, but the buff compensates that. 

 

So... with the ALT new "buff" is ok.  Maybe THAT is the purpose of this "buff".

 

Values for M2 turret

 

Damage

- Before 379

- Now 529

- Now with ALT 397  ( -25 % )

 

Impact

- Before 167

- Now 241

 

Firing time

- Before 4,94 sec

- Now 11,29

- Now with ALT 16,94   ( +50 % )

You can see my comments above, but overall, I agree. They will look, but I am pessimistic that things will improve.

 

There are too many Vulcans in some matches now. I had three firing at me at once in my last. 

 

Tanki has a very bad habit of taking what is fun and making it frustrating, sometimes on purpose.

I did saw your comments.. & I do agree

But where from the Tanki gets these kind of ideas ??? Do they just listen to their favorite players ? which i am sure will be very few.. & make decision on the personnel choices / like & dislikes ? what about the majority ? the tankers who like to play with Vulcan or they have the most updated Turret in shape of Vulcan ... they are all complaining & crying  ... I have only just one question .. Will the Tanki consider all these complaints or not ? Even will they answer to us & make some explanation to satisfy us or not ? :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(

It's a common pattern. Nerf or buff a turret or alt so that everyone flocks to buy it. 

 

Never expected this would come from me but devs are interested in $$$.

please fix the barrel spinning rate of Vulcan.

 

yes the increase in damage of Vulcan is good, and decent

but the barrel spinning is longer, which makes it really bad, as it makes Vulcan cant even defend itself, as it takes too long to even start shooting,
[as in the picture above, an m2 freezer/hornet killed me Vulcan/titan m4, without me having the chance to shoot,

or a hammer m4 can shoots 2 shots to Vulcan, before Vulcan can even start shooting]

 

the time to Overheat is decent- i got no complains for now.

 

what can be added is, some impact force to Vulcan for

e.g  @ m4, impact force 300 to impact force 350

Yep, Vulcan is now.
I spent a fortune getting the M3, and now it's totally useless.

 

Going back to M2 Rail as it at least works.

Vulcan sucks big time.

 

By the time it fires, the enemy has either killed you, or they've disappeared out of site.

 

All that time getting mine to M3, and I'll be going back to M2 Rail... total garbage waste of time and money.

I really like this update, since even though I have the xt skin for vulcan i don't use it, therefore the vulcan rework does not matter to me. I guess eventually the Developers will rework Vulcan again to decrease the warm-up time, but getting the additional damage as a result of this nerf is surely a bonus!

Please do something about this GS rating, I want to know my enemies' MUs not some stupid number which is varying according to different paints and etc.

 

I can't possibly remember every single hundreds of variations of GS to get a perfect look on my enemies' MUs...

I use Hornet while playing with Vulcan and i'm not satisfied. This update about Vulcan will do complete opposite of the purpose. It will force people to use heavy hulls. Because of the spinning time medium nor light hulls do not have enough HP to start fiering before enemy strikes, so they need a cover to hide while starting the spin and that will make them no different from heavy hulls, stay at the cover and shoot. If they won't...they'll have to shoot with no stop, and if they do so...even with 50% fire resistance they have no chance. I think...simply increasing turret turning speed and decreasing the damage will do better than all of this. Don't you think so?

Only solution now is to buy the modified firing rate alteration, which reduces time to spin and time off spin by -50 % and gives 50% extra firing time, while reducing damage by -25 %.
