Turret Balance, "Nuclear Energy" and More

There is some basic information on the new page: Gear Score

Thanks for the pointer. It confirms GS is useless. For players who refuse to use supplies, it will give a max sum for supplies, that will never be used. The score gives no way to sort the components. It doesn't even differentiate between light, mid, or heavy hulls.

GS is sad. Put the "R"/"V" display back as it was.

Nuclear energy could be obtained in the garage as a rare item like gold boxes. Also containers could randomly give out nuclear energy boxes rarely from time to time.

No.

Can you please explain to me what will happen if I pick two of more nuclear energy boxes in the same battle. Will the number of overdrives stock up?

What I mean is, for example, if I pick up 2 nuclear energy boxes will I get 2 overdrives in the current battle?

Riddle me this knucklehead, the nuclear energy box fills your Overdrive timer. It takes it from whatever it is to 100%. If you are at 100% you get nothing, nothing at all.

It isn't a supply it is an energy charge.

Really, are you seven? Think man, and grow up.

Sounds like Vulcan will be the next turret that's OP.

Want to REALLY improve Tanki? End the MatchMaker DISASTER.

END MATCHMAKER NOW!

Vulcan is now an effective turret, but it is not what is was originally intended to be. Camping with it in a heavy hull lets it be an effective team asset, especially with a strategically minded Isida on the team. Two Vulcans coordinating can kill tanks as fast as Firebird. Vulcan has severe limitations for general purpose use. A lone Vulcan (regardless of hull) in DM is likely to place low on any map, especially the big and open ones.

I just wanted to know the answer.

Are you satisfied with the answer I provided?

"...

called “Nuclear energy”. This drop will instantly charge your overdrive to 100%. We remind you, that overdrive is activated by pressing on the “Shift” button of your keyboard and it activates all supplies for you and all nearby allies.

"

Do you find room to interpret that quote differently?

I understand clearly what you mean. I know that pressing the shift key activates all my supplies at the same time as an overdrive. I have used the overdrive for quite a long time now and I really enjoy it.

Do you remember when the overdrive used to be named "Zero Supply Mode"?

Nuclear energy drop give you 100% on OD.

If you already have 100% picking it up is a waste.  (OD will not "stock up")

If you already have 100% either let a team-mate pick it up, or hit shift first (to activate) then pick it up to get 100% again.

i like the new GS [Gear Score],
but current it's just an display when pressing "R" or "V" keys

MatchMaker need to make better use and or effective use of GS.
where currently i ended mostly in the wrong side of a team in MM, where i loose like hell.

for e.g today;

i used twins m3/ viking m3 + 3 protection modules @ 45%, give me an scores of 7500,
Now when i enter battles in MM, i face most M4s which are scores 8500-9000 in the opposite team and make me loss battle and easy target.

now my questions is why :

why MM dont put me in battles with around same level of GS and to have opponents with around same GS?
why do i always need tobe in the lower GS team ?

Protection modules

I think it's high time that Tanki need to add 4 slot of protections, as the battle got really complicated and we are easily being killed while res-prawn.

Thank you.

You have to now be a psychic to play successfully with the Vulcan...predict accurately the enemy around the corner or die before one bullet leaves your slowly spinning barrells:( :wacko:

well am sorry to let u Down, i used to be psychic with Vulcan before the Vulcan so called buffed.
Vulcan is currently a waste of time to play with it with the current update of the turret.

Use your time in battle and note how many players use Vulcan before the update and after update of the turret.
for me , Before the update we can see some Vulcan in the battle,, now with the buff i barely see any Vulcan in regular battle.

the last time i saw a vulcan , he was in the opposite team, and i was using Twins/Viking m3 and just dance around the Vulcan/Mammoth m3 each and every time i saw him :P :D
dang this feels nice to see how easy prey Vulcan has become, but sad as mine Vulcan m4 need to put to rust

, you will not find the new supply in Juggernaut mode. If there is no special orange dropzone on the map, it means that the new “Nuclear Energy” supply will not drop in that mode.

Just Go and Check RIO MAP in JUG Mode It is there On the Beach -_- TANKI ONLINE ???? LAIRSSSS

Nuclear energy drop give you 100% on OD.

If you already have 100% either let a team-mate pick it up, or hit shift first (to activate) then pick it up to get 100% again.

its ok to pick up when your over drive is only at 20 % or lower , this helps give you one when your supply's run low. but if your over drive is over 50% then skip taking it. I do agree with Riddler that we should look at this as a extra supply box but there should be a limited amount in the holding space along with a time blocker on being able to activate then next one . giving players a limit on when and how many to use in a row.

in other words you don't want a player to collect one and then activate it. then as soon as there are killed be able to activate again. or when a player activates and as soon as there gone then activate it again . giving a player fully drugs threw out the full battle mainly in DM modes ( not sure if its in those battles )  it would like it was in the olden days when we had drugs activated every time we hit the buttons and having a timer on them . players in the past would understand what I'm talking about.

The new GS system literally punish you for every new modification you buy, or MU you add, and how much supplies you have, and even what type of paint you wear, the higher your GS, the more it sends you to teams with low rank noobs and legend rank losers in matchmaking.

man, this update really sucks.

There's no way match-maker assigns you to battles based on what you have equipped.

It either does not use GS at all, or uses it based on your highest-graded equipment in your garage.

GS is likely just for in-battle information purposes.

just join a battle with m0s, no modules and drones and change equipment after you enter

You must be going against some weak Vulcan drivers. Since the update I've been using Vulcan almost constantly and my K/D ratio has doubled per battle. Most of the time I can shut down one whole side of a map unless I'm rushed by 3 or 4. Yes, I'll concede this isn't a brawler for death-match, but when it comes to team play Vulcan is a power house again.

Spin-up rate is certainly better at m4 compared to M2... but how well you doing in Sandal?

Vulcan

You have probably noticed, that Vulcan is usually used in combination with heavy hulls, because they can fire for a longer period of time while ignoring the burning of own’s tank.

We have decided to introduce the following changes to turret parameters, to make it more effective for playing on light and medium hulls:

  • significantly increased the length of time before overheating starts;
  • slowed down the turning speed for turret and barrels spinning before firing;
  • increased the firing distance;
  • increased damage.

Why did the Devs not just lower the overheating when Vulcan is being fired?

The extensive changes were not asked for, nor needed.

How do bullets 2-4 even coincide with making Vulcan more useful on light and medium hulls?

Firing distance and damage have nothing to do with hull-size.

700 stars? :ph34r:

Check page 15 of the stars discussion. Deluxe has the new paint already. (Deluxe, you can check, is a Legend 58; 2600 hours played since the Profile went live.)

OK, Ive changed my opinion yet again now that Im used to the new Vulcan. I was wrong to say it was nerfed. Its still a but weak, maybe Smoky level, and it certainly hasnt been made OP like the other turrets that have been rebalanced recently. BUT it is an improvement. Its playable now, just with a different play style. If your team is getting spawn killed it will be useless, but in a easy or balanced match it is decent. I wish it were returned to its old stats, but I thank the devs for this buff anyway.
