Higher the rank - Lower the average skill - More boring battles - Why?

My perception of high rank battles (with different accounts) is that higher the rank, less skilled players there is in battles.  This indicates that most players in high ranks have bought their way to high ranks.   Battles become also more boring when most players just have mid or fat hulls and use direct charge approach in battles, relying to their modules, drones and drugs.   Real health kit heroes.

I just started a new acc in order to have more fun, but it seems that same phenomenon has spread lower ranks too, at least  in some extent.

It looks like Firebird has created an increase in RK usage. Looks like they buff a turret every month or so to boost use on drugs and sales on turrets along with the matching module.

Every turret, except vulcan, my favorite. Schmeh.

Skill level overhaul is going down hard. I had created an alt in order to plays relatively drug free in the low ranks but the drug plague as since spread even there. Notice that they brought repair jack down to recruit rank (facepalm) while sneakily increasing the rank needed to play drug free pro battles... Devs seem determined to extinguish any remaining skill requirement and replace it with non stop drugs + repair jack + OD + drugs + drones + everything at the same time + the new drug box duhhhh its just sad and also quite disgusting. And there is more to come, with the brand new tank abilities from which the drug emp from hunter is probably going to be removed or heavily nerfed as it would traumatise drugies to much :D

Define "skill."

Skill, to me, is

- being able to fully utilise the capabilities of the used hull/turret combo

   * a mid hull thunder staying put with DD and shooting enemies is NOT what I see as a skill

- being able to utilise the map to one's advantage

- tactical awareness e.g.  being aware of what is happening in the battle field and being able respond in a way which gives the most help to the team.

  * a blind shaft beaming a minute or two while enemy is stealing the flag is NOT very skillful play

I have high respect to some magnum users.  I tried magnum once, but found it too time consuming to teach my fingers a new way to control turret compared to other turrets.

I've seen few very skilled wasp users, who utilise the agility of the hull to the fullest - not just shooting around.

I have to add that utilizing Mammoth to it's fullest does not require as much skill than what Wasp or Hornet requires.

Everything you said is now invalid.

:D  :D  Maybe so.... I know Magnum is OP, but it does not mean, that there couldn't be skillful magnum users out there.  I've seen some impressive shots from some magnum users, considering the time they had to aim and adjust the power level of their shot.

All turrets are used by 3 types of players- noob, average and pro. When a turret is used by a noob, it usually gets easily killed by a pro. However, there are some exceptions- Fire, Freeze, Twins, Thunder, Magnum.

The last 2 mentioned turrets are OP because they are easy to use (I did not try Magnum but I see that some players do not even adjust angle) AND they have also infinite range and big damage per shot.

Ok, Twins can be noob...maybe Fire too, but Freeze, thunder? No. Some thunder players are completely noob and they die a lot, but some can do good things with Thunder. A good freeze player is deadly, circle strafing and killing from behind.

Drugs don't remove skill, they add more things to think about. The only problems come when u have people who drug vs people who, for some reason don't use their drugs or have wasted them. If everyone uses their drugs, battles are very tough. For example, the most used supply is DD, but I love seeing ppl with only DD equipped...I just run up and Freeze them from behind. Battles also have a lot of variety in turret choice too

Actually I'm starting to notice this, I see much more skilled players on this account's battle than I see on my Major General account everyone on my other accounts battles don't even turn their turrets

Ricochet players don't turn their turrets...most others mostly know how to

I was just in a battle with 4 legends on the opposing team, 3 of them had thunder, isida, an twins, none of them turned their turrets

It is sad but drugging Viking Twins does not need to turn turret at all to be powerful. RIP Skill...

Same with drugging Viking Thunder who is exposed all the time and just soaks everything and kills enemies at any range with ease.

Rico needs more skill than Twins or Thunder because it can simply lose energy after few seconds of constant firing.

The battles are not boring. They become more difficult as you meet new experienced players with more knowledge and stronger hulls/turrets inside their garage.

The fact that you created new account to kill newbies who absolutely has no knowledge about the game, has no clue they are facing somebody who already has high rank account. That shows lack of skill/experience you have and cannot face somebody killing you or who has a stronger garage (that also happens in low rank leagues).

I personally enjoy playing with legends, more difficult and more fun to be honest. Tough battles, I can honestly say I like the reward I get end of the battle. I dislike getting reward from easily battles.

I have got WO4 - Maxed out to M2 titan and smoky. I dominate battles, literally get 0 deaths but I stopped enjoying it. Yes, you get easy kills but there is no enjoyment. I get more entertainment at Legend league because there are really strong players during battles and you end up winning against them, that is entertainment and worth playing for.

In conclusion - You can't say the battles are boring in Legend league if you can't commit facing experienced players. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You're right, I'm not a buyer and I can confirm that everyone at legend takes the notorious no skill titan twins combo.
