Oddities on the ratings page

Every time I visit the ratings page, I see at least one tanker at the rank of private to sergeant who seems to have caught hundreds of gold boxes a week, but according to their profile has never even dropped any.  For example, right now there is a staff sergeant by the name of saimonas_kliauga_26 who has caught 45 gold boxes this week and never even dropped a single one.  I've seen this with privates even catching close to 200 gold boxes in one week.  I think that these people are exploiting a bug in the game/hacking, but I wanted to hear your opinions on what you think it is.

Well, first off, I don't think anyone below the rank of warrant officer 1 can obtain a gold box supply by any means necessary, and 2, it could be that someone else dropped it f them, like must said.

As I said, most of these people have not dropped any on their profiles.  And I doubt anyone would buy so many gold boxes per week for a low ranker, about a year ago I got in contact with one such person who was a master sergeant and was catching 100+ golds a week without dropping any... people were following him from battle to battle and when I asked him about it, he kept trying to filibuster.

Look at the number of hours he has played and the experience he earned. He is clearly just catching golds and not playing for real. 81 hours and still a staff sergeant. 

 

Also whenever there is x5 gold, I have seen people multing at the ranks of recruits just to catch these golds. I remember seeing a gefreiter with 100+ golds caught. Many other accounts can be found during such events in the 'Most Golds Caught' ratings section whenever there is such an event.

First of all, at that rank no can join a private battle. If someone decided to do a gold rain in an MM battle, it is still unlikely for him to catch that many golds considering the competition provided by other players. Also, the goldbox supply unlocks at WO1. Which is pretty high compared to that player's rank.

These players are just 'exploiting' Dictator and they often have some Hornet/Viking friends to help them either by killing enemies or using themselves as 'ramps' for Dictator.
