Is Firebird M2 Alt Worth It Anymore?

Like Guido said, it made the alt more powerful. However though, the alt is no longer a requirement for firebird to do well.

They didn't nerf the m2 alt, just buffed the after burn.

I now prefer the stock weapon, since the alt no longer increases damage (I think, Ive only used the alt once since the firebird buff so I could be wrong.)

alt does faster burn so its always a yes for noobs that fire at everyone in juggernaut (me)

it burns fuel faster, but it does not improve anything, I've ditched it entirely.

It helps if you're using a faster hull or are in a larger map as you can drive by someone while shooting them and do a lot more afterburn damage as it would take less time for them to heat up.  I've compared the two options recently and the alt still does a better job, especially if you're using a weaker hull or are playing in a no-supply battle (the kids can't just spam 1 to heal)

So to summarize everything

It uses your fuel faster

but

It generates heat at faster rate and increases maximum possible heat

 

The efficiency of alt drops through ranks. Firebird m4 will only have faster heat while m2 will be like firebird m4 with lower dps.

With dropped price and ability to equip with m1, totally yes. 

Main problem here is actually major unlock rank for m2. Now first lieutenant can equip it on m1, without buying kit. Also good if its m1 10/10, you dont have to wait for major rank.

Alt is definitely worth it. Guaranteed death to whoever you shoot it at. Firebird isn't that hard to beat without compact tanks but it is the most annoying thing ever with compact tanks.

The compact tanks is ridiculously OP because now it is cheaper and a lt can get it for 30k cheaper.
