Tanki Online Guide to the Shop

Recommended Posts

As we all know, the shop is where players can purchase items to gain an advantage in the game. So here it is, a guide on how to buy efficiently and value for money!

General Information:

The shop can be opened up by clicking the orange button on the taskbar next to your crystal amount. When it is opened up, it will show special deals such as temporary rare paints or special packages. You can navigate for other items such as crystals or premium by merely scrolling down the pop-up, or by clicking on the category buttons on the top of the pop-up. In the shop, you can purchase items which can improve your gameplay as give you advantages.

Specific Items in the shop:

Special Bundles:

These bundles contain unique one-time only items which are either a part of a special celebration or a part of a special sale. These bundles are very cost-efficient, since the things which are on sale will probably never be purchasable again, and you gain much more in-game items such as crystals with these bundles. Some items which the bundles could contain are unique skins, animated paints, special paints or bundles which are a one-time only. It is highly recommended to buy these items, since some of the bundles which were purchasable may never be available again. Try always to purchase bundles which only has crystals, supplies and containers, since they are still the most valued ones.

Crystals:

Crystals are fundamental in the game. Without crystals, you cannot buy any in-game items such as turrets, hulls and supplies. There are six purchasable options which are available, and each at different prices. The very first and the least valued option is the 6,000 crystals option, which costs USD 3.99. It is not recommended to buy this option since there are other items which cost the same but are better. The second option is the 15,000 (+4,000) crystals option, which costs USD 9.99. This option is also not recommended since you can purchase better items for the same price as well. The next option is the 60,000 (+45,000) crystals and 1 day premium option, which costs $39.99 USD. This option is still not too valued nor is it recommended, as other items such as containers or special bundles will give you way more crystals and other in-game objects. The 100,000 (+100,000) crystals and three days excellent option is the beginning of the more cost-efficient options, as it gives a good amount of crystals for USD 69.99. Maybe containers might give you more if you have exceptional luck, but otherwise, this option is probably the safer option to get crystals. At USD 99.99, the last option and also the most valued option contains a whopping 143,000 (+215,000) crystals, as well as providing you with a premium account for seven days. This option is fabulous if you want to micro-upgrade some turrets. The best tip which I can give you is to wait until there is a sale where you happen to have the Double crystal card, which gives you 2x the amount of crystals that you buy. You will be able to obtain huge amounts of crystals while spending way less money than when there isn’t a sale. Also, if you normally use the USD option and want to save more money, try to convert to using Polish Zlotys or Russian Rubles, since the crystal pack will cost way cheaper, and you will be able to get a lot for a lesser price than if you use USD or English Pounds.

Premium Accounts:

Premium accounts are for tankers which want to rank up faster while earning rewards every day for owning a premium account. Premium accounts are obtainable in two ways, and those are to either get it from a mission or purchase it. There are four options for Premium accounts in the shop, and the first one is the USD 1 for 1-day premium account option. If you can, try to buy longer premium accounts, since it is way more cost-efficient than to obtain a single or shorter premium account. The next option, which is the USD 3 option, has a way better value than the USD 1 option. It gives you seven days of premium account, but even this is not as much value as the 30 days of premium account, which costs USD 10. The final option, and also the best option to choose, is the USD 28 for 90 days premium account option, as it is the most cost-efficient option. Try to buy premium accounts in sales, as there would be much more value available.

Containers:

Containers are very rare you obtain buy very helpful. They can give you a whole list of in-game items such as crystals, gold boxes, paints, supplies and even legendary skins. To find the containers section, scroll down until you reach the containers or click on the button which says "Containers". There are six options for containers, and the first one is the USD 1.49 option, which gives you one container. The second costs $4.29 USD and gives you three containers. The ten containers option costs USD 13.99, and the next one, the USD 29.99 option, gives you 25 containers. The following two options are probably the most cost efficient ones since they give you more bottles for less money. The second-last option that gives you 50 containers costs USD 54.99, while the final one which provides you with 100 containers costs $99.99. It is recommended to buy containers above everything else since you can obtain vast amounts of crystals, long terms of premium accounts, lots of supplies and even the occasional rare paints.

Gold boxes:

As an accessory in the game, gold boxes can spice up gameplay or can be used to thank your friends. Whatever the use is, gold boxes are rare to get without buying. If you wish to purchase gold boxes for whatever reason (Dropping them to yourself for crystals is not ideal, since there are other ways such as buying crystals or getting them from containers without spending as much money.), the more expensive options save you more money. The cheapest option, which costs $1, gives you one gold box. The next one, which is the USD 9.90 option gives you ten gold boxes. The final one costs USD 49, and it gives you 50 gold boxes.

Shop Paints:

Paints are cosmetic items which do not give you an advantage in the game. It only changes your tank’s appearance. Buying the paints in the shop is not recommended since they are not that special or useful. If you wish to buy some paints, pick your favourite and pay for it. The costs of the paints range from USD 10.99 to, which might be a bit too expensive for just a cosmetic item.

Product kits:

This is the more natural way to buy kits since you only need to pay for them for the kit instead of buying crystals and then buying the kit in the garage. Also, all the kits available at your rank will be purchasable, so you can buy any kit at any time, instead of waiting in the garage for a kit to appear. The list of kits will look in the shop if you scroll to the “kits” section or click on the button which says “kits”. If you want to know how much each kit costs, look them up here.

Others:

You can buy a rename pass here, which allows you to change your nickname in the game. You could also redeem any promo codes that are given to you by clicking on the option which has “Promo Codes” on it.

This is a purchasable item which costs USD 35.99, and when bought, it gives you a clan. To make a clan, fill in your clan name and abbreviation as well as the country.

Bonus and Discount Cards:

These cards give you special sales or additional items when you buy the discounted/bonus option. There are in total three bonus cards, which are the gold boxes bonus card, crystals bonus card and premium accounts bonus card. There are five discount cards, which are the gold boxes discount card, crystals discount card, premium accounts discount card, product kits discount card and shop paints discount card.

Thanks for reading! I certainly hope this guide was useful to you!

Approved!

Interesting to see someone write about the shop, it's uses and a guide to it. That being said, I found a few errors in your article

  • Repetition: Not the good kind, I'm afraid. You used the words "buy" and "while" too many times. I would suggest using an editing software like Grammarly to fix this or perhaps just try to be more creative and find synonyms for words every time you want to mean one thing.
  • Grammar: Not that significant, but you said things like "buy an premium account", which would be incorrect.
  • The topic of your article: I personally was a bit underwhelmed by the article. I feel that guides should provide at least some level of implicit information which everybody might not know. Unfortunately, your article detailed information which could already be seen on the Tanki Wiki (although to clarify, there was no plagiarism involved. It was just that the information your articles brings to light can already be found easily.

Other than that, it was written well!

This day will be remembered as the day when the need of a guide to Pay2Win arose... Jk jk

But seriously, I thought a guide to the Shop would be something humorous.

[insert pic here]

This is the Shop. It is the most beloved pet of the developers. Cuz it gives them money, money, money

What to do with it:

1. Open it.

2. Realise that you need real money to buy these things.

3. Close it.

4. Repeat.

A small note to readers, I messed up the article originally and therefore there are no pictures. Many apologies to the author.

Thanks for the feedback, and no problems. When I finished this article I wasn't too pleased buy it either, but I posted it anyways. I might try writing some fiction now :9
