Why do players leave a winning team?

There’s plenty of discussion on why players leave losing teams, but I’ve started to notice a trend where players leave a healthy winning team.

 

I’m not talking about the guy who fell asleep while the MM system tried to find a battle for him and subsequently timed him out or the guy who hates the map and leaves as soon as he spawns. I’m talking about active players halfway or more through battles which are going well for the team. Suddenly, that green Tank-Minus sign appears and the winning team is down to 7, sometimes 6 players. This has sometimes (but not always) causes the winning team to fall behind and lose the lead.

Maybe it is Mom, but I've been noticing this for a long time. It's not only half the team, but the whole team as well. Before MM came to be, the reason given most often was "sabotage." After the MM it's Mom? 

 

Well, I guess the time of day could be taken into consideration...lunchtime, suppertime. I never thought of looking at the time of day.

I’ve seen players leave when I get too close to them. I haven’t seen that help their KD :D

I've had that happen - multiple tanks exiting half-way through battle on winning team.

 

Worst part is... my team never gained replacements - we played 2 tanks down for remainder of battle and lost!  :wacko:

• Suddenly need to go somewhere (or told to stop playing)
• Connection lost
• Completed daily mission and doesn't care about reward

I have a really strict time schedule and I have to give up really good battles time to time, even the ones where I'm first by 500 points on a winning team with a battle fund of 30k. Basically, I'd rather keep my job and education instead of winning 3,000 measly crystals

Well that's life, and it should take priority over any game.

Reasons:  :ph34r:

 

 

- Lag

- Didn't like the map

- got mission in other mode

- hard for him to get score or kills due to other players with m4 or OP Combo in his level

- Going somewhere (shopping for family  :lol: )

- Browser crashed and he got kicked.

- Slept while playing (Me when i don't sleep for 48h  :ph34r: )
