If you want to explore Tanki maps without entering the game, whether to make strategies or familiarize yourself with new battlefields, I am starting an ongoing project to publish 3d models of TO maps on Sketcfab.

List of maps so far:

Aleksandrovsk WIP

Arena

Duel

Island

Zone

Zone (Old version)

Note: I enable SSAO and anti-aliasing in the render options, as they improve the final result considerably. If your computer is slow, however, you can disable these options by going to Model Inspector (3 squares stacked on each other in lower right corner) > No Post-Processing.

While you're at it, check out Vrato3D's excellent Tanki X renders.

What maps would you like to see next?

Well thats an epic work i suggest you to post that on " Let's Discuss Maps! " and i'm sure Maf or Cop will see that and they will give you reply about it.

since that new battle names update its hard to know the map so your idea will be helpful for finding the maps that we want.

and btw you could start with making 3d model for Silence.

Best of Luck  ^_^ .

Wow, that's impressive. Will be a great resource once completed! Very useful for taking screenshots for artwork as well, without having to go into a map and use spectator.

Okay dayum that’s some good stuff! With expectations low, I tried one of these links on my iPhone7 and was pleasantly surprised to see the Zone model load in just a few seconds with full rotate and zoom functionality.

I’d love to see this work continue. Solikamsk (apologies if I spelled that wrong) or Magistral would be cool MM maps to explore.

Did you got the textures from the alternativa platform editor?

Tanks testing tool. AlternativaEditor does not come with libraries of models and textures; you must load them in.

It's been a while since I posted anything in this topic. To avoid it being archived, here's a WIP of Aleksandrovsk:

https://sketchfab.com/models/5dff938749c24a9a9003d3e35e5d341c

Left remaining are:

  • Bushes, which I do not have a good way of adding, as Sketchfab does not support sprites or "billboard planes"
  • Drop zones
  • CTF, RGB, ASL bases and CP points

Can you do maps that have two levels, above and below ground and still maintain continuity? I'd like to see some of those.

Sure, eventually.

Another "bump" to keep this topic from being archived . . . I have little motivation to work on this project, even though I want to finish it one day.

Anyway, Zone has been updated! It now features drop zones and updated steel tower and watchtower models. I've also added some background sound (battle ambiance from Tanki) - tell me whether you'd like it to stay or not (volume can be lowered in the right hand corner of the window).

The updated Zone.

Old version for comparison.

In the new version, the radio tower created a hole in the ground. The old version didn't. Not that it makes a difference, just mentioning an observation. Nice work.
