Matchmaking waiting screen should not lock the interface

The biggest problem of MMS is waiting time and some more
But waiting time is like useless time
Why not make it useful?
U can add a feature to chat even while waiting time is ongoing
Go to garage and do whatever u want (except opening containers)
Go to clan chat and clan menu
Obviously shop



The next problem is low ranks vs. high ranks
Idk no solutions .devs plz fix it .

So what do u think?

If you press play with your mouse in chat before you play, it works:

They could also show the map for which they are going to collect the players during the waiting time.

1) It's a good use of the wait time for MMS

2) Sometimes I click on MMS before realizing that I'm using the wrong combo for the game mode

Mhm.. would be a nice feature. More importabtly, it would reduce the perceived waiting times, which would lead to less frustration (which would be good, if  I think back of the recent changes in the last 2 years, where quite some are potential frustration triggers).

 

As far as I estimate the structure of the game, the lobby (where you wait, and where your waiting dialog happens) and the garage (where all that stuff is not ment to happen) are completely separated.. so I doubt this will happen soon. But let's hope for the best :)

well if your waiting time is 45sec and you don't have anything useful to do, it feels like minutes.. and that's bad.

But with that feature the 45sec will feel much shorter as you use it for something useful :)

 

It's not nice, to have to stare at the waiting time counter in off-peak hours, while it's passing the "average waiting time" and keeps imitating Buzz Lightyear:

It basically means that the time will feel shortened because you have something to do while you are waiting. It's like when you are sitting on a 10-hour flight on an airplane, when you are doing nothing, it feels like a week. But if you are watching a movie, it feels like a 3 hour flight.

well if your waiting time is 45sec and you don't have anything useful to do, it feels like minutes.. and that's bad.

Well, the players will have more positive opinions about the MMS wait times if the wait time for them feels shorter instead of longer. 

 

I already have an idea for a TX lobby like thing, it has 30+ replies but it's been lost somewhere deep below.

Maybe I should have written something like "improves our perception of the waiting times" or alike.

 

Tanki-X's Lobby sounds great as you describe it; and if we would have access to missions as well (as Pyre pointed it out) it would be a really useful system.
