That many? Huh. I've seen it down to 1,000. Globally, that's pathetic. That's not even worth a pee in the sea.

tanki is doomed to die, while they are making it easier to control, its really not noob-friendly. if you are still learning the controls, all that you will have happen to you is you getting demolished. this really demoralizes someone from continuing, especially if its their first game. even if you get through the first few ranks, soon you will encounter m1's and druggers who will kill you before you can aim at them. and to be honest, i dont know if there is anything they can do about it. i just made an account for the star week, and the furthest i can get to is sergeant because all i encounter now is 4-5 dudes who just heal back up and kill me whenever i shoot them. it has never been so difficult to get a d/l of 0.50 or a 100 points before. and i know how to play atleast somewhat decently. imagine a noob. no chance.

Yes, they are squeezing as much profit out of the game as possible whilst sacrificing longevity. The writing is on the wall.

Not many? I bet there are no new players lol. Yeah sure, there are a lot of recruit, but they play one battle and never come back to this game.

My thoughts about Tanki X is they might manage to pull new players into the community because of its graphics if they advertise TX properly. A nice graphic design game with good video-editing and screenshots would pull any person.

If you spend some money there will be no such thing as "starting over;" you can get top tier equipment pretty much from the very beginning if you are willing to pay enough.

Tanki X has nice graphics, yes. However, though they might look impressive compared to TO, they are really not all that special compared to many modern games. It doesn't help that TX has really bad optimization. I stopped playing the game because I got fed up with the screen tearing, the stutter, and the low FPS (my computer has more than enough power to handle a game like TX).

Have not played more than 2 TX battles in over a month.   That game has a LOT of faults.

Tanki X is still in development but T.O is dying, I know many games closed due to fewer players like 1000... Tanki Online won't die easy but won't be that popular again, which is a bad point for T.O. Tanki X has lots of faults, but still, it is worth playing.

 

What I suggest is to play Tanki X after a year cause I think T.O's at-once active player number will be decreased from 20k(which currently appears) to 10k...

Guys look I dont know how you play or what you do but tankionline I just have one request. Please do something to make tankionline popular please. It is dying and it will if you dont bring good updates. Look you guys did very well by bringning tankoins to the game but improve your game to make it better, When i open tankionline website only 24000 people are playing it. think about it that why it is happening and do something. Prove that this is not the bad game and prove that you are the best developers who will make tankionline alive again. Thank you bye

I'm not defending Tanki, but I am trying to be fair. Devs are not putting a whole lot of time in doing fixes and content right now. Another team is working on HTML5....which should bring a new version of Tanki. Flash is moaning in its death throes and Tanki will go with it if they don't switch over. Right now, they are doing nothing more than putting bandaids on the problems. Some things Tanki can't fix because Flash is buggy. All the Tanki Devs are doing is trying to keep Tanki afloat until they throw the switch. We'll have to wait and see what happens when the new Tanki is reborn.

Yes... And really saddening. I remember when tanki was a game everyone wanted to play and there were like 50k players... Maybe even more... But Tanki started dying when the Devs started updating the game not for the sake of players, but for the sake of money and themselves - old tanki you used to be able to actually vote on updates or fixes and such, and everyone loved it because everyone has what they wanted, and if they didn't, they could have their suggestion voted on... Now the Forum Moderators take charge of it, and it is not based on the popular vote... And that's when people started leaving, because tanki was making updates that no one wanted or thought was useless, and then when Tankoins where added, which you now need to get kits, just showed they wanted more money... Because now I can't get kits that I normally would be able to. Ever since tanki started ignoring the players opinions, the game has been degrading... I just hope the new tanki, if there is one, will change all this and will actually be worth playing.

It is a very slow death... Meaning that even though the game is degrading, people still would enjoy it and maybe miss playing it... It was always a good game, but with what the Devs are doing it will most likely die.

I enjoy TO, what I don't enjoy is the crash frequency of the client, I literally had to switch over to browser to play comfortably.
