As you all know, we just recently launched our official Discord server. The server consists of many channels and automatic systems working together to make it possible. We also have a moderation and technical team working round the clock to improve the components of the server.

 

We intend to open this topic to gather feedback, suggestions and ideas for the server so that we can carry on fine-tuning and enhancing its features. This topic will also serve as a place where all announcements regarding the server will be posted on a daily/weekly basis.

 

If you have any suggestions for the server, you may post it below (for more information, read here). Please include a full explanation of why you think your change will benefit the server.

Hoisted Roles:
 

Discord Administrator - a role given to the Administration of the server.

Discord Head Mod - a role given to Head Moderators of the server.

Discord Moderators - a role given to Moderators of the server.

Discord Candidate - a role given to Candidate Moderators of the server.

Tanki Staff - a role given to official Alternativa employees.

Tanki Administrator - a role given to Administrators of the International Community.

Tanki Helper - a role given to Helpers of the International Community.

 

Server Booster - a role that is automatically given to those who boost the server via Discord Nitro or Server Boosts.

Honored Member - a role given to members who have made significant contributions to the server.

YouTuber - a role for Tanki YouTubers, given to people with over 3k subs or EN spectators.

Tankers - a role that is given once membership of the server is achieved through verification.

SUGGESTING CHANGES

There are currently two ways you can suggest changes to us, the first being posting the suggestion in the #suggestions channel in the server itself, and two, here. Please follow the mentioned procedure to ensure the chance of your suggestions being considered by the Discord team.

 

 

I. IN THE DISCORD SERVER

• Locate the #suggestions channel in the server. This is where your suggestions will be moved after using the !suggest command.

• The correct syntax of the command is: !suggest [iDEA]. Example. You may type this command anywhere, including #general.
• Once you do that, your suggestion will appear in #suggestions. It will automatically have two reactions, a upward-pointing and downward-pointing arrow - use these to vote for the suggestion.
• If a moderator replies to your suggestion, it will be moved to #suggestions-reply and the original one, deleted.

Head Moderator and Administrators will always be on the lookout for cool suggestions!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Here are some key points about the server:

 

 

 

➢ Click on this link to join the official Tanki Online Discord server. Once in, you'll be pinged by a bot with an important message. Follow what it says to get your permissions role to access the server's channels. You can do so by reading the rules and accepting the terms of service (by executing the command mentioned in the end).

 

 

 

 

 

NOTE: It is '!' + 'agree' = "!agree" without any space.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

➢ Read the rules and the guidelines set up by the Administration, breaking these may lead to to a warn/ban in the server, up to a complete block. You can find the rules in the #rules chat channel.

 

 

 

 

 

➢ All official game rules are in effect in the server. This means that we do not allow any of the following activities: flooding/spamming, advertisement, offensive or racial content, extreme content (such as sexually suggestive or pornographic messages), threats, slander, flaming, discussion about hacks/cheats or bans, fraudulent and illegal activities etc.

 

 

 

 

 

➢ Server members do not reserve the right to freely change nicknames. This has been made so that the possibility of fake, inappropriate or offensive names is eliminated. To request a change, simply do the !nick [NAME] command, which is explained above.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

➢ Voice chat channels in the server are for playing that are playing Tanki Online together, please do not idle in them alone or use them for playing other games.

 

 

 

 

 

➢ If you see anyone breaking the rules in the server, we urge you to report such offenders and violators to the moderators using the !report [uSER] [REASON] command.

As per the quote above, I clearly write if they are so trustworthy and mature, they wouldn't ASK OR NEED A SPECIAL GROUP.

 

There is a reason behind why the chat moderation team doesn't go around rewarding everyone who answers a question, whether the answer was right or wrong (not to be taken in account for your next rant).

 

I do not have to join a discord server to know what actually helpful people write, and what those who only butter moderators write.

It is fairly easy to get through the YouTubers TO program (not the very top tiers, though) with just a bunch of golds and a time when the chat isn't being moderated by a moderator in General 1 (which is quite rare since a few weeks, I love that).

Instead of being hurt and writing a rant over a 'noob' with not a 'colour' pointing out flaws in your system, try to find a workable solution for your flaws.

 

If you just want suggestions from your discord community, then keep that channel there and don't open this topic if you are not open to rationale suggestions by players who are not part of your discord.

 

Try to take some constructive criticism and not just expect "nice nice" from those who hardly even read through the whole topic.

 

Please, try to write a better rant next time.

I didn't advise you to take up 2 administrations at once, and be a EN newspaper reporter on the side. That was your choice, so instead of using your jobs as an excuse, try to provide some solid rationale argument that my criticism was "useless blabber".

Not true, I have always paid attention to every complaint or suggestion, be it here, the Newspaper or the Wiki Hub - but when you have already said something and the person argues for apparently no reason at all, then unfortunately then first person does not have a choice but to back out from that conversation. I have always kept this rule before me every minute, every day of the year and honestly, I learned it the hard way. If the person does not want to constructively discuss something and flames all your posts, even if they aren't related to him, his work or his area (as you said, you are not a part of the server), then simply leave him as be. However, since you've asked for an explanation, let's go.

 

As you said, you are not a part of our server, you have never joined it nor ever will by the sound of your post - so my point is, if you haven't even been there a single time, you have not seen what people do and don't do there a single time, then how are you making an assumption that some people there who proved to be extremely beneficial at the beginning of the server and those who helped us with moderation, answering player's questions and referring them to different topics on the forum or help site or in the server itself to get their roles/membership not be deemed worthy to get a separate role? That's one.

 

Secondly, they did not ask for it - we gave it to them. The role was first called "Helper of the Day" and was given to one person who helped the most in a specific day, soon enough more people joined and more and more became worthy enough of the role. Then, it was renamed to "Advanced".

 

You compare two different chat genres - one is merely a tertiary component of a whole game, while the other is a part of a social platform that, juxtaposed with the automatic systems and bots moderating and managing, becomes complex for people to understand. Discord Moderators are currently only those people who are already in-game helpers, and they are not available all the time. Hence, these special group of people take over the chat sometimes and answer people's queries. To eliminate the chances of someone saying "Oh! This guy is impersonating a moderator" or "He might be giving me a fake link!", we gave them a unique role to show that they have been selected by the moderation team based on their willingness to help others..

 

As for Youtubers TO, again..., Youtubers TO itself has official rules that are in place for the people that are eligible for the program. Those are the primary rules of the program, so if you want us to not give the roles to people that "just drop golds", then post this criticism there. We simply chose to gave them the role because they have already passed official legibility regulations, and as a server, we do not need any extra requirements to give them the role.
