Assault will never be fun

Trying to balance CTF and TDM is hard, but I think they did a good job. I blame the heavy hull and Shaft abusers more than the devs. I've won both on both sides, many maps, and I think it slightly slanted towards Blue as all they have to do is kill, but if you watch the Mighty Jingles, you know random teammates are exceptionally skilled at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I like both these ideas

 

1-a MM Assault battle consists of two rounds, between which each team switches sides

2-change the mechanic so that both Red and Blue both attack and defend - both have flags and both have a capture point. Whoever caps more wins!

 

Obviously 2 eliminates the need for 1

Assault was fun when it came out for the Christmas celebration, in the Yorkshire map only. Back then, that mode was cool (mainly because it was possible to choose your team, so I was always in red team and it was easy top cap with the 2 points :ph34r: :ph34r: :ph34r: )
