Turret Balance, Holiday Paint Update

Tankers!

 

With server restart on October 16th a new update will be released in Tanki. We’ll update turret balance for Twins, Shaft and Freeze, and will also slightly change the standard texture for the Holiday paint.

 

Turret Balance Changes

 

Freeze

 

The full-reload time for the ammo tank will be increased by 1 second. Now the ammo tank for the turret will be replenished to the max in 9 seconds, and not in 8.

 

Twins

 

Disadvantages: projectile speed will be significantly reduced (by 1.5 times for M0 and slightly less on higher modifications), as well as the minimal hit range (by 15-20 percent).

Benefits: the maximum hit range will be increased by 2-3 times, and splash damage will inflict more damage and in a wider radius, than before.

Summary: now Twins will be more effective at a longer range, than previously — up to 40-60 meters instead of 15-20. The power-up of the turret will be compensated by the slowdown of its projectiles and the increased danger of self-destruction due to splash damage.

 

Shaft

 

Now the aimed shot will fully deplete the ammo tank. At the same time, the minimal damage in Sniper mode will be increased by 6-7%. Also the quick reload between shots will be faster by the full 0.5 seconds, and the ammo recovery speed after firing an aimed shot will increase by 10-15%.

Changes to the Holiday paint

 

After server restart on October 16th the visual appearance of the Holiday paint will slightly change. Now when there’s no holiday or events in the game the paint will look like this:

I don't understand the changes with twins... apart from that the projectile speed will be slightly lower, and you saying that it'll be more effective at longer range.... What's going on? Isn't twins also a short range turret, like hammer and ricochet? I'm confused, I'll check tomorrow whatsup with it. 

 

Holiday paint is the best paint, I'll start wearing it again tomorrow. :) jk

At least the designers had the right idea. The devs seem to always be ignoring the obvious.

 

I mean look at firebird for example: it's more powerful now than it ever has been.

 

And Vulcan is just a broken piece of scrap.

It seems like Twins will be very OP now. Way better than Rico...

 

So, in one of the previous balance about Rico, you* told us Rico was always meant to be a short range weapon, and this is why you made that change. (Basically, you told us we were stupid and we could not understand). And now, Twins, that was always a short range weapon, will become a big threat a medium/long rang. I think this is a huge joke. Your balances make no senses.

 

*you=devs, and not you Nives ;)

 

Holiday paint : good change, it was needed, the paint looks slightly better now imo.

 

Shaft

Even if it's not loaded at 100%? Sometimes, aiming at a Hornet requires like a third of the energy.

naah twins is upgraded no no man long range turret ahahahha and shaft reload time increased wow I am confused .lets see what going to happened when 10x gold dropped .

You've really had it in for Shaft, and I don't know why.  Not only do you flood MM with maps having no sniper positions, now you nerf the turret. Depleting the tank on an aimed shot will completely kill it off.

And I imagine there must be a long list of 'must do' items in Tanki Towers:  Improving MM wait times, sending players into fair battles, etc.

 

So what have you decided to do about it? Nerf a couple  of turrets and change the colour of Holiday paint.

still not a fan of Freeze being faster now // ammo tank will be increased by 1 second. Now the ammo tank for the turret will be replenished to the max in 9 seconds, and not in 8. this means it will take tanks out more then other medium to small turrets . this should have been reduced not increased , now there is no way to get away from them. its going to be very chilly in battles..

 

shaft is weekend should have been the opposite and increased load times . it takes to long for it reload to shot .

 

twins well I'm not interested in these guys seeing the toss my tank around way to easy.

Twins never runs out of ammo and has simiular range, higher DPS and overall higher impact.

 

So... why would anyone use Ricco over Twins?  :wacko:

 

Should have reduced the impact - that was the only change needed.

Devs have no clue how to do a "balanced" update to turrets - see Vulcan for example.

I did not expect a nerf for Shaft and a buff for Freeze, I honestly thought that Shaft was ready to get a buff  :huh:  :unsure:
