Well i dont like the shaft update. Like its a sniper turret and its logical it has to be powerful, but now that you can't even quick aim is just bad. Plus work on fixing shaft bugs! Not the reload.. Like legit sometimes my shafts bugs out so that if it's fully loaded it does minimum damage. Firebird is op so work on that turret now. Just made the shaft kinda bad :/

Developers are moving towards more and more dynamic gameplay, meaning that they actually want to discourage players from standing still and camping. So this change is meant to encourage Shaft players to be more active and move around, using the arcade shots as their primary type of fire and using scope only in occasional specific situations.

Don't forget that Smoky has longer range (without needing to scope), has very high impact force and faster turret rotation. It's still a much more versatile turret in 1v1 combat.

at far range shaft can use scope to deal with smoky

 

 

the impact force from smoky is useless against mammoths which is the hull most shafts use

Lol Shaft turned in short rang weapon, I see attackers with shaft and DP, killing enemies and stealing flags.

exactly the same thing with what they did to magnum.

 

when i said that magnum was actually a close range turret everyone thought i was crazy.

shaft has definately been buffed at close range... right now arcade shots deal 20% more dps than smoky. at far range it is also buffed because of the increased charging time and increase minimal damage... the only disadvantage happens when you shoot wasp/hornets your overall dps is slightly lower... so against 2 out of 7 hulls it is disavantaged but the other 5 out of 7 it is even better. .. and 75% of all the hulls are vikings anyway?

It isn't better if people don't use Double Armor, and you want to get some quick shots off, which you would do in a lot of games, no matter the type. Therefore, the Shaft is heavyly nerfed if you want quick shots off, no matter the hull.

if you want quick shots use smoky or thunder

I started out as a Shaft player, but then I got bored with standing still and camping and chose another turret that was more active and moved around.

 

I don't want Shaft players to use arcade shots as their primary attack mode.

Shaft was meant to be a sniper turret, to snipe from a far distance whilst other turrets isn't able to deal that much damage from far distance. The arcade shots are stupid.

So basically they want to turn it into Tanki-X.   :angry:   Many of the changes over the past year or so have leaned in this direction.

 

They shorten battles one more time and I'm switching to just Pro Battles.

Is this a secret update? 5 players left and none of the player joined my team again?

Did your team have a lead at the time of mass-exodus?

This has happened to me - and - even though we had lead, we lost battle due to zero replacements...

 

Why multiple players leave winning team, and why no replacements is a mystery to me.

developers too dumb!! shaft needs buff, no nerf!! Everyone use now firebird shaft is only one skill turret, fire and twins for noobs who only know holding the spacebar all the time! RIP tanki!!

I wouldn't bother unless it is just easy for you with spare crystals laying around.  Firebird will take a big hit pretty soon as more and more players convert to Firebird.  Tanki lets players invest lots of time and even cash into a turret because it is powerful, and then they nerf it into unmitigated junk.

 

I was using Twins and doing well...and that is M2-MU10 with a 50,000 alteration, so expensive (lots of time spent).  Previously I used an  Isida MU10 but changed because they nerfed it and cut out it's self healing.  Then a Vulcan MU10 and they changed the parameters to where it is almost useless on most maps...we can't pick our maps in MM and changing turret in an 8 minute game is almost pointless.

 

So now they thrash Twins into another dust collector.  I may go with Firebird myself because it is so OP right now, but I'm not going to bother upgrading it past 5 or 6 unless I get one of those 1,000,000 crystal containers :)

 

I'd be so angry right now if I had paid cash for something like a Taiga kit with a couple of alterations and Tanki did this nerf.  At least now I'm just disappointed again by Tanki.  If I had spend real money I'd be furious.  I just can't imagine why anyone would send these fools real money.

shaft, the one i have both alteratons for, they buffed itto the point where i don't even need the 3 turrets above

i've seen such people like that get better scores with any turret including vulcan or striker

I think the Shaft update is good. The new reload time is OK and makes using the feature for extra power with it`s extra reload time penalty more viable. Will be buying that next time it`s on offer because of this update.

 

As for twins, I hope twins doesnt become more common on the battlefield as a result of this update, I already found it the most annoying turret out there. Many Twins users leave a brick on the fire button until the game has finished so I never can tell if it`s a teammate or enemy coming up behind.

 

Magnum nerf has made it mostly unusable for me now, as it`s splash damage is so much less effective. I can`t be bothered to use it for normally what is just a few hundred damage pts shot from the splash damage. Less effective support for the team, and less crystals for me !!

 

All in all here`s one player who is not complaining !!!

The way you made shaft to work is very bad because people like me who are used to quick sniping now have to wait for the bar to fully reload because of the recent update
