New Missions, Drones Update

I didn't say the update is better than the old system, I'm just guessing the reason and saying that it doesn't favor daily players in general.

 

You have a valid point about no lifers, but they are still ranking up, while a casual player or slow player is in the same rank for longer. No lifers will pass you by.

My alt account is a Colonel.  With the stupid-wide rank brackets I will be playing those non-Lifers for a long time.  And there's always another set right behind those.

 

But I ask you - who is gonna "pass by" my Legend account? Or even a Gizmo?  They will be playing those same non-Lifers until the end of time.

URGENT:

 

We need to know when the week for Weekly Missions started and when that week is ending.

 

I think it should always start on Mondays.

 

Also, please don't give us another DM mission when we change a DM mission, similar for other modes.

 

Juggernaut, Assault and Rugby should be removed from Missions, Rugby because many players play it like TDM and it's frustrating, the others because those modes are really bad.

 

And you should consider the idea of giving new Daily Missions on completed ones after a certain number of hours, maybe 8 hours.

Do you have any idea how many battles we need to play to finish these new missions? Especially those weekly missions. Do you have any idea how long we have to wait to enter one battle? It is wasting our time ! Don't tell me you just wait a few seconds; I got to wait minutes, at least. You either increase the time of each battle or reduce the time to wait. The new mission system that requires so many battles is just wasting time !

Well, that's just part of the explosion that is MatchMaker.

 

MatchMaker just wastes time, produces unbalanced battles, dumps you into the last few minutes of hopelessly-lost battles on maps you don't want to play. It causes people to leave more often because they don't like a map, or the team is getting slaughtered - or they just park their tank and do nothing because that way they can take their crystals at the end of the game for doing nothing (remember MatchMaker was supposed to end mults?) - which just makes the games even MORE unbalanced - so MatchMaker just jams the next player (victim) into the game so THEY can quit too! Of course, players waited to get into the game, and the game they got stuck in was already over and no chance of winning, so all that time - before the game, during the game, waiting for the next game - was just WASTED.

 

Now these mission changes mean more games and with waiting time on the order of 30% just to get assigned to a game plus the ADDITIONAL waiting time while the game loads (which you never used to have if you played the same map a second or third time) means you're probably wasting more than 1/3 of your total time. That's right - you wait 90 seconds to get the game to start to load, it takes 45 seconds to a minute to load and guess what? You're getting close to waiting 3 minutes to play a game that might be 8 minutes long - but might only last 10 seconds. And as you correctly point out, with shortened games, this means a LOT more wasted time doing nothing but sitting there marveling at the stupidity of Tanki development.

 

Simply choosing not to contribute to your team. Contributing to your teams involves in, killing enemies, capping flags, scoring goals, controlling points, sharing over drives, or just healing your teammates (when using isida).

We get a LOT of that with MatchMaker - which is something MatchMaker was supposed to stop.

 

I find myself driving around the map looking for some supply - less concerned about the game. "Oh! The enemy just drove by with a flag. Good thing they didn't take that speed box - I needed it for my mission. We're losing? Big deal. Who cares. Obviously none of the people with tanks parked doing nothing. Why are they here anyway? Oh! They're waiting for the GAME TO END to satisfy the new Tanki missions. You know - the ones where if you sit and do nothing but shift your position every two minutes, you complete the mission."

 

Drones

And for the drones.. sorry, I can't give you an unbiased summary here. This you'll have to find out on yourself.

The biggest problem with drones is we don't know what they do. Yeah, we have the general description, but if we believe what they say, we'd all buy the one that brings us back to life immediately when we're killed. (The "immortality" drone??) The descriptions are vague and why would anyone blow 100,000 crystals on something that isn't well-described and which Tanki will probably "balance" (nerf) in the future anyway?

 

Tanki seems to be devolving into mush. Eleven gajillion variations, all of which can be changed in a "rebalance" and there's really no point. You find a combination of turret and hull and protection that seems to work, then Tanki pulls the rug out from under your feet. Remember when Isida used to self-heal? A lot of us got it for just that reason! Then Tanki took it away. A big you.

 

I wish like hell they would admit to their mistakes and rework them in a positive way to keep what players are still online.

To do that, they would have to...

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have purchased the Lifeguard drone and it does nothing tbh. I receive fatal damage and no progress to it, got batteries, got the drone equipped. No idea  :blink:   

Maybe they nerfed it already?  Can't save your life anymore - but it can put a bandaid on your stubbed toe!

these missions need to be lowered and even he weekly ones. who has hours to play on tanki

 

if you do the math on this you would have to do all three daily missions and only miss one. which can't be done seeing that some of the daily missions have way too much to do on some..

 

 

also change the lettering on the completed missions. they blend into the post too much. if all we see is green , white and yellow . then it just go's to a blur . if its another color or remove completed missions like before it would he easier

The "use overdrive 50 times" is pretty stupid.  It's not something you really have much control over anyway.

This new system is all about trying to force people to play more battles than they currently do.

Well, when you start with 45,000 players and drive away 38,000 of them, what are you going to do if people don't play more battles?  You won't have enough to sustain competition - and then more people will leave.

 

So instead, Tanki is doing something else... to make people leave.

Love it when you are given "Daily Missions" that cover 3 different battle-modes.  No synergy.

 

And if all 3 are "finish 5 battles in..."  you are looking at playing 15 battles.  Good luck having more than 1 account.

 

Between the above Daily missions, and the finish top-3 winning team 15 TIMES, one of my accounts has given up on MM less than 1 week into the "new system".

 

I'm sure ppl leaving Match-Maker will help... right?

Finish in top 3 15 times is completely not possible when match-maker puts you into battles with only three minutes left. :blink:

 

I completed this after three days and probably around 70 stars, which for me was probably about 30 battles and harder drugging than I’ve ever done. I did not have fun nor did I enjoy those battles.

 

For this I got the weekly container, 3000 crystals, 60 of each supply, some RKs and a few batteries.

 

I will keep grinding to get the full weekly reward from all 21 missions and all three weekly missions, but I gotta tell you I don’t see myself doing this permanently.

The new mission system is buggy.   The issues are:

 

1. Got a daily mission to finish 5 TDM battles.  I completed 4 but the mission shows Completed.  I have no other option but to claim it.  After claiming it, no change in the mission count in both weekly 10 and 20 missions.  So it wasted me a daily mission and the count into weekly one in addition to playtime time.

 

2. I completed another daily mission to collect supply boxes as requested.  However, no change in the mission count in both weekly 10 and 20 missions after I claimed it.  So another waste to a daily mission. and playing time

 

The new mission system is harder as advertised.  At the same time, can Tanki not waste tankers' time for bugs like this?

 

Moreover, not sure if others noticed.  There are hackers in Tanki games.  It seems usually someone has a protection module or turret neither available at his/her rank nor he/she appears to get it from a kit.  Hackers seem more active during special events.  For example, this tanker below has 2 M2 protection modules (Dolphin and Falcon) and Freeze M2 at WO4.  It does not look that this tanker has a kit that offers these two M2 modules and Freeze M2.

Buyers are absolutely OK.  But hackers will have very negative impact on the game.  I don't think the current report system works well to prevent hackers.  Why can't Tanki do regular audit to review if a tanker has something that is out of his/her rank or not from a kit purchase and take action if one is found?

All 3 Weekly Missions could be missions that encourage players to play battles to win like Win # Battles, Complete # Battles, Earn # Crystals and maybe Use # Overdrives. No EXP and no Kill missions because those encourage players to play all team battles as TDM and no Finish # Top 3. And give 1 Container and 1 Crate (Weekly Container) each.

 

Then Mission Of Missions, the 10 and 20 Weekly Missions remain the same, giving 1 and 2 Containers respectively.

 

It's an idea.

Wat? We can change daily mission but the reward stay the same?!

Reward is modified after 2-3 changes. Then it is cyclic after further change I got the same missions and rewards  :blink:  :wacko: like a choice of 10 missions and 3 different rewards.

Three challenge missions

So if u complete the 1st misiion in the 2 or 3 mission in challenge missions should increase by 1

It's a mission why doesn't it increase

So now we have mission cool-downs. But they appear to be based on server restart.

 

Instead, can daily mission cool down on a 12 hour basis instead of 24 hours?

 

Can weekly missions cool down in such a way that if I can’t claim before day 7, the weekly mission resets the day I do claim it? I won’t want to have to wait yet another week for my next weekly mission.

We lost mission chains, and weekly rewards? i mean 9000 crystals every week, 4 containers, 100+ drugs and etc. this is transforming in this new stupid thing?!? Yes?

3 minutes is legit for multing by rules so yeah i do "finish battles" by going to wc

Some little suggestions on the missions:

 

1) When players change the mission, could you avoid the new one to be the same mode/nature?

 

2) Allow players to change, once a week or once every 2 weeks, the first weekly mission (the one on the left with 1 of each container). It is mode/nature dependent and some players don't like/do some game modes/nature.

 

3) For those completed but not claimed missions, automatically claimed/rewarded to players at the beginning of the next login. I don't see any reason to reserve completed missions to claim later in the new system. There is no mission chain and no premium account reward now.

 

These are just some small things regarding to the present mission system. I am not asking to increase rewards or reduce difficulty. Only something small to smooth things a bit. May be you still think I am asking too much. May be I am just talking to air. Anyway, hope you will consider and do something.

Just left a bunch of battles - each one totally one-sided with buyers of the new alts sporting drones.

 

The new vision of TO is total crap.  After getting 2 (don't have a hope-in-hell on the floater) of this weeks mission completed it will be time to switch to Pro-battles.

I have just opened my second weekly container and can now safely say that one weekly container corresponds to one third of the old bonus for completing a daily mission every day for a week. SOOOOO...to get the old bonus you must complete 20 daily missions now. This is far far more time consuming and does not allow a tanker to play as he wishes. Extremely dictatorial in style, and extremely badly thought out as no one will be happy except buyers and maybe some noobs. 2 extra containers does not make up in any way for this total BS that has been forced upon us.

So did they nerf scoring for Isida healing again?  :huh:

 

Spent most of the battle healing and score did not reflect the effort.

Kill a few tanks and score jumped considerably.  What gives?? <_<

New mission system requires slogging and grinding, multiple matches for most every mission, multiple missions each day, every day for the the weekly missions.

 

Is the point fun or work? Challenge or frustration?
