agreed I also use to play like your way before the system changed , now I find its harder to battle in DM battles without using mines cause now others use them .. for example going up a ramp I find the mines hiding on them or in bushes  . players are getting more sneaky where they plant them.

Yep I always have to carelessly hit a bunch of them per battle. 

I find them useless (but others probably don't) and very annoying as well. And now there are drone and alterations based on mines... lol

I think one of the things that is forgotten about the new missions system is that battles are shorter now. Whereas you could get four battles done in one hour with the old system, you can now finish seven battles in less than an hour with the new system. You get rewards more often, so missions such as "earn crystals in battles" and "finish ___ in a battle" are easier, to an extent.

 

Yeah and you join a battle where everyone is drugging and only kill 3 players or only score 40 to 50 points. Now it takes like 3 or 4 games to complete one mission!!! Yeah awesome Idea LOL

On the other hand, I opened some containers on an alternate account and got some pretty nice paints. Paints I do not have on my main account. Nice, but I sometimes wish I hadn’t collected containers on my alts. Then this update comes, and I haven’t played and alt since...

Damn... Just got the weekly mission Destroy enemies 0/500. 500 in one week ? About 70 each day ?

I did only 11/500 in 2 battes to finish all daily missions (earn 250 crystals in battles, earn 400 crystals in CP and collect 15 DD). I'm out of this game for today...

If I destroy about 15 tanks each day, I'll finish that mission in one month ? Stupid update.

It's 21 Nov today, and I still didn't finish this crap mission (448/500).... And I made only one daily mission today. The other 2 are boring missions (Earn crystals in DM 500 and Finish battles in DM 0/7). The problem is I DON'T LIKE DM Battles. Guess I'm going to do only 1 mission each day. Only the easy ones.

this crap stupid update.

issues with drones

 

so I joined a MM battle , I hit enter into the garage like normal . I selected what I needed to be added to my tanki . then went back into the battle but instead my tank did not enter into the battle. even tried to exit the battle and it would not let me leave. I have to close tanki game .

 

sot sure why this happened..

I just discovered somthing that seems very unfair.  If you only complete 9 missions in one week, the next week you start the 20 segment at ZERO.

 

end week1  9/10  9/20

beginning week2  9/10  0/20

 

Why do you lose the nine missions you did from the week before?  In essence you are going to do 29 missions to clear the 0/20...if you do more than 9 in week2.  This system is as awful as Matchmaking itself...well, maybe not quite that bad.

Well!  Unless this is some "glitch" caused by a dev oversight, this seems like another way Tanki is trying to maintain player numbers by goading more and more players to log in to complete 10 missions per week.

I'm quoting myself again.  I am pretty sure this was just a glitch or my mistake.  I looked at a different account and it didn't work this way.  So what I said is incorrect.  I'm pretty sure whatever you do gets carried over and even if you have 0 on your 20, the next mission you do makes it 1/20

 

I was correct about the system being awful, and certainly MM is a colossal failure in terms of game-play enjoyment.  Both travesties...at least the devs are consistent..

To an extent...

 

But what happens when your weekly mission(s) carries over into a second week, and you complete everything by Thur evening.

 

Now for 4 days there's no reason to play because the next weeks missions unlock on a specific day only.

 

Makes sense... right ?  :blink:

not sure if this is just a glitch or you completed it without noticing it. next time this happens try taking a photo of before and after you finish the weeks missions change over.. i was fine for the first 20 completed missions , and just got a new one this week. for both 10 and 20 ..

Missions? No, frustrations. 

 

Quantification, a data point. I had a 1500 points mission in TDM. That took two days, requiring 12 matchs, maybe 13. Completed four of those today, and one good match of control points, but zero of my 15 first-place missions are done. Five matches, zero first-place. Yep, those complaining about 15 firsts have a valid point. 15 firsts will take most players between 50 and 80 battles to accomplish. Averaging about five battles per hour means at least 10 hours and as many as 16 hours. I admitt I'm guessing, but I assert most players, typical players, play less than 5 hours per week. One container and a set of supplies is a meager reward for so much effort over two or three weeks.

 

Many of the daily missions take too long for the reward, even the higher rewards. The floater weekly mission must be avereraging two weeks for most players, with only one container (which is likely no more valuable than 125 speed boosts) and one set of supplies.

 

Please examine, collate, and disclose the time requirements for the harder missions, and reduce accordingly. It seems fair to me to expect a weekly mission to take five to seven hours of playing (for a player with median-level abilities). It seems punitive, a counter-incentive, to set weekly missions that will require twice as much time as most players play in a week.

If we can't play for 1 day (we have life) give us 6 missions next day to complete the (noob) weekly missions.

Agreed - we are clearly back in the depressing age of not being able to miss a day of missions.

 

Furthermore - for giggles, I completed all three daily missions on all four of my TO accounts today. Took me almost the entire day. While it was cool to play on my alts again, there is no way I can sustain that kind of play time.

So basically, for most players, they cut in-game income by about 55% to 60%...and multiplied the "work-load" about three or four times.

 

I now get 2 containers one week, then 3 containers the next week.  So 5 in two weeks vs previously, 8 in two weeks. The other loss of income is in the new weekly containers. Previously one full set each week, now 33% one week and 33% the second week.  The floater is an occasional extra 33% about once a month so it doesn't affect the total much.  So for weeklies it is 66% vs previously 200% every two weeks.

 

Previously you could skate on 14 missions in 2 weeks and get paid.  Now it is a minimum of 20 in two weeks.  So about 28% more missions.

 

Honestly, I don't see that daily rewards have increased overall.  They seem about the same to me with a few now and then being larger, but ALL requiring more effort...lots more effort.

 

So conservatively...55% less income for 3X the effort...very discouraging.

 

It is possible to generate higher income per week, but obviously there is a lot more time that needs to be dedicated to do it.

I’ve stopped trying to grind away on the floater weekly mission. Seven days of normal play on dailies usually gets me where I need to be on the floaters.

I’ve generally found that all three daily missions can be completed in just over an hour of real time, with the long pole in the tent being those ‘Finish 5 Battles’ missions (sometimes Finish 7).

But many times I've had missions for 3 different battle modes.  Change one - get same mode with different condition.  Blecchh

Now we are talking multiple days.

Is that still happening to you? For the last week or so, I’ve been able to free trade my way to greener pastures. I still might get different modes, but only one mission takes longer.

Once every three days, they double-down (or even triple-down) on different battle modes. Even if I get a "synergy" it's usually for a mode I don't like or score 1500 or something like that.  It's rare I can get 3 missions done per day unless I play for close to 2 hrs / day for one account.

That miner drone is all over CTF battles.

 

I had a multi-battle CTF mission today. Those hexagon minefields were all over the place in every game I played.

 

Oh well, I guess it’s time to MU my Spider Mine Module.

That Magnum "mortar" alteration is just ridiculous.  Can fire every 7 seconds?  They last for 30 seconds (or detonate)?

So user can have 4 live mines going at all times - for a cost of -25% damage on a hit.  The mines do more damage than a hit and spider-mine modules are so rare most players have no protection...

 

It's crazy....

Now that you mention it. The sudden proliferation of mines through both the two drones and the Magnum alterations (others!) are probably the result of weak sales of the Spider Module.

 

Designers tend to buff underselling equipment and create demand for underselling modules.
