New alterations coming October 31st

Only one Alteration, and in order to use it, the Vulcan must be killing itself.  :wacko:

In Maf's list I see no disadvantage next to this one. So to me it sounds like an additional bonus damage in case you have to go through self-damage if the situation requires it (shooting down a flagrunner at all costs as he's close to deliver; giving your loast shots before an enemy kills you anyways, ...).

I wonder if there is another downside to it.

 

The Striker alteration with 0,5s lock-on is useful for players that are bad at aiming, but of course it reduces the DPS of the turret. The cycle between rockets will be prolonged by 25%, but you are less likely to miss. This could truly balance out (depends on the map, as always with striker).

The 8 missile alternation.. imho pretty useless. Todays lockon times are tricky enough to archieve.. so how to lockon an even longer time.

I wonder about the downside of Striker remote-detonation missile. Maybe triggering it will do something about the reload status.. let's see.

 

Some alterations announced in the vlog (attack nano bots from Isida, the Fire/Freeze alterations from Magnum, Twins penetration) have been removed.

so... firebird will have the highest dps now? 1050?

 

also, magnum's reload is based on charge time left... does this mean that it reload will decrease because you'll have lesser unused charging time?

I couldn’t be more happier. I’ve been requesting most of these ideas over the years, and finally devs listened. Freeze wasp now is gonna be insane in CTF. Smoky 2014 is coming back as well. Vulcan finally has some more tricks. The creativity aspect is definitely coming back to tanki, let’s just hope the prices are sub 100k. Also why would you remove the ability to rent? Doesn’t make any sense in my opinion, other than greed.

Vulcan really ? You mean that really ? You must be joking right ... no extra damage but if im overheating then the bullets i fire are on fire ? Beside cosmetic there is nothing there ? ps i translated also the Russian wiki . It says what you say , , the bullets catch fire ... hmm and then what does it make other tank overheat also ?

Twins very interesting , will be a defending beast 35% damage increase

striker also very interesting alts .

magnum , you got to be kidding , it means you always hit target , since if you dont hit a target it becomes a mine . Imagine dowstairs of Noise with 2 magnums firing downstairs , you can hide but the base is mined full .

Woah, Smoky 2013 all over again!

 

 

I am going to buy the 50% higher rocket damage for Striker as I now have mastered single shots.. there is no reload nerf.

And Freeze will be a true flag stealer, hopefully the buffed up freezing is still acceptable against protection modules.

 

Can't wait to try them out.

My thoughts:

The only two worthwhile alterations seem to isida's support nanobots and smoky's supercritical shot.

Striker's Launcher alteration can be a force to be reckoned with in the hands of a skilled player.

Railgun's destabilising shot alteration is just what I predicted. Could be effective if high damage and low damage shots alternate.

Freeze's shock freezing coupled with wasp overdrive can be an intimidating attack combo.

Btw, firebird's Compact Tanks received a buff (rate of heating)??

As for all the other <<new>>alterations, the cons way outweigh the pros and they don't seem like they are worth it.

What is the deal with so many alterations dumped on us at once.  and only able to choose 1. before we could use 2.  this is really dumb.  Especially with the new drone and overdrive updates.  

 

The most important thing is to change Garage access time to 30 secs not for a whopping 2:30 secs.. that would be fresh to change soon.. the ability to use your garage is most fun.. lacking that ability is no fun !!  Especially even with new lame mission format.. tankers still come and go.  Tanki Devs need to really look at decreasing or all together eliminating the time limit in garage.

On these alterations. Not totally bad. I like Hammer but Hammer is useless without slugger. You guys reduced the pellets to about nil back in the day so in many cases, only 1 or 2 pellets hit. This is why I have to use 5 shots and slugger. Why not an alteration to give Hammer more range? Slugger for Hammer should be standard anyway since the reduction in pellets makes the turret almost useless. I don't like the idea of having only one alteration either. Some turrets need 2.  Who's idea is that? At the very least, we should be able to select two. What are you guys smoking? What are you drinking?

 

Now, I have an extreme spread on a Hammer which does little to no damage without the two alterations. Also, when are you going to increase the strength of the hulls? The strength of hulls need to be adjusted too. There are tiny hulls like hornet, wasp, and viking that can push titan and mammoth. That makes no sense! That's like a ant pushing an elephant. Larger tanks should not be easily pushed by smaller/lighter tanks. Hulls strength must be increased to match the changes in killer alterations.

 

Alterations make great game play but you guys need to stop reducing what you give. We NEED at least 2 alterations. No exceptions!

Literally only the striker rocket alteration makes sense

Yep, Magnum's second alteration(who thought of this?) and railgun's first alteration(with the already terrible vertical angle!!!) are both practically useless. I had way better ideas than the designers.

You people must hate shaft. Can't explain otherwise why it's the only weapon that had had the least and worst alterations and continues to. Why on earth such a discrimination? you have totally screwed up the game. Isida is sucking a mamouth's energy in 3 seconds and an m3 max shaft cannot kill a wasp maxm3 with one shot.pointless updates, no sense at all and yet another way to destroy the game. Seven alterations for rail? REALLY? Admit it. you do this only for yourselves. You like playing with rail and that's all you improve. You can't care less about the fact that you are ruining the game for the shaft or the fire or the twins. Even twins stand no chance against freezer of isida, nevermnind rail. Pointless..... :angry:
