New alterations coming October 31st

Instead of some vague text in the description why don't you show us some actual numbers. That way we can know exactly how the alteration affects the gun.

When the Wiki is updated you will be able to view the exact info that way. I agree it would be helpful to have it ingame though.

Thank god; the in-game descriptions are complete gibberish. Tanki is a sci-fi game, and they're coming up with wacko terms to parts that don't even exist irl so it's really hard to understand. :lol:

guys, just like with any other tanki update, something will get messed up. i bought a 180k alteration and i was forbidden to enter battles. also they didnt even add the alterations for firebird and freeze. its no surprise on thanksgiving last year they rained containers for 2 hours straight. devs dont know what they are doing, and when they try to add something in the coding they love to mess up other parts of the coding as well. seriously, your programmers suck

 


and i didnt catch the part about the vulcan alteration about burning, turns out the alteration is a joke. why would you increase the self burning from recent balance chnages and then release an alteration that can only be used from that. this is just disrespect to vulcan players

I can see alternations are actually upgrades in the other way. This means if we don't buy alternations our tanks are weaker then those with alternations.This means buyers rule. This game is free to play difficultly. When the difference between buyers and non buyers becomes bigger and bigger, non buyers will feel too hard and find another game to play. Does Tanki want to kick non buyers out of the game or what? May be Tanki wants to minimize resources with less server size with less players, only buyers, there.

Has anyone seen a quantification of these alts? The older alts had quantified statements such as "Damage increase 25%; Reload speed increase 20%" (in the case of the Assault Emitters on the Shaft. 

Just checking. Didn't see it on the Alterations thread. Didn't see it in the Wiki. 

Just checking before I consider them.

Could you show less about how much in desperate need for money you are? Why change shots original colors from every upgrade to just M0 color, that was one of the features that gave a unique touch to this game. Now we can only retrieve our old colors from containers, how is that fair? Couldn't you just have added new colors? It was already a huge rip-off when you decided to remove the white shot from railgun XT! Where are your brains what are you doing to this game do you ever even think about your players?

Looking at all these changes, and reading.....it is now noticeable that in tanki HQ there is no longer anyone who speaks English to a near native level. The person translating is not at a sufficient standard that it is not noticeable it is not his/her mother tongue. I take this as yet one further indicator that tanki are actively not interested in the game and would rather kill it off. As for the changes......it is making the game more and more difficult for beginners to understand, and for those of us that have been here years, it is making the game more of a lottery and less about skill. So I for one vote these changes down, but will they listen? absolutely not ...… muppets.

Nives, in isida's alteration which is called "Nanomass reactor", there is a word mistake in description. It tells "After receiving the singal that target....". It should be "signal" not "singal".

Its really funny how most of my friends quit playing i should have also but i thought just maybe they might wise up an do something right for a change boy was i wrong 2 days ago i played 15 ids on a regular basis today/night im down to 2 an may soon be down to none i used to spend on this game quite alot  that was because i can an i did enjoy the game anymore its getting to be not worth my time from fun its just become a headache i should have quit when my clan folded the beginning of the end was match making but what really ruined it was this update mm just made it so my clan seldom plays but this update is trash i would be really surprised if tanki doesnt close before the new year its become a joke of a game

"Recieving" and "Singal" under The Nanomass Reactor for the Isida alteration should be "receiving" and "signal" 


 
The Magnum Alteration is pretty good in my opinion, just planted my own base in mines and made a pretty mean defence.

New alterations are quite exciting, but I'm really concerned about game balance and don't like the fact that you can't see exactly what parameters are changed in the menu.

 

Incendiary fire is more or less an alteration for Vulcan that I suggested a while ago, although undoubtedly it was conceived independently.

Holy hell the Smoky autoloader alteration is INSANE! Plz nerf! (actually, don't nerf because it's my favourite thing now)

 

Striker 8-rocket barrage is amazing for Juggernaut or when people pile-up under the gold box. Although unsurprisingly it's very difficult to launch the barrage due to longer lock-on and can often get frustrating.

 

Twins alteration seems good, but it's only strong in very close range fights. It basically turns you into a melee turret like Freeze or Firebird, unless you're shooting at some stationary Shaft not too far away.

 

 

Haven't tried the others yet, but might experiment with a couple Magnum alts and a few others.

Use the Twins brick.

 

The Railgun Electromagnetic Acceleration is fast reload too.

 

But the Magnum alt that lays the mines is great! You can lay mines with every shot without using your own supplies. And it's faster than laying regular mines, too.

Wait why is My twins shooting blue bullets? Its M3!

Your M3 twins shoot blue bullets because now all turrets are having a common basic colour for the bullets, that is the m0 bullet colour.

As Tanki has said in the v-log, that they will add different colours (effects) for the bullets/shots of each turret, which is possible to acquire from containers.

 

So I think they will add it very soon in the game, (I guess it's gonna be tomorrow -let's see).

I'll try that and the turret rotation. Something is telling me that the mine layer will break game modes like CTF and ASL. You could also find a camping spot, equip the camper drone and the magnum alt, surround yourself in mines and just shoot people for the rest of the battle.

 


OK, update:

  • The Magnum turret rotation alt is alright. Will definitely take some getting used to, but extremely useful for parkour and generally for helping control yourself mid-air (or get on tracks when you're on your side)
  • The mine layer alt does exactly what you think it would, but the mines ARE NOT PERMANENT. So thankfully devs did think this through and made it so that mines placed by magnum disappear after 10 seconds. Spamming mines all over your base with Magnum is not a valid strategy :P
