New alterations coming October 31st

It's not really a new color, and I didn't say pay to win. They are just removing something that is as old as the game to make it a buisness model? The colors of the shots were here since the beginning of the game, and it always helped differienciate guns between m0, m1, m2 and m3.

players (some, not all of course) proposed a lot of times that Tanki should offer a feature, that allows them to decide on the color of their shots on themselfes. It seems that Tanki is now giving that, and of course as a business model (why not, it's just cosmetics).

Now it seems that in their way of doing so, they also removed the changing colors. Which.. in some, small, aspect makes sense too, as a self picked color stands out more, when all other turrets have the same shot color.

In my ranks it would not have mattered, as I face M3 only. But most of the time in a carreer of a tanker, the players face both in their battles: M1+M2, and later M2+M3.

 

Anyways, you won't be the only one raising this complaint.

The game has to raise money somehow, and I think most players (as most players = free players) are better off with busines models based on cosmetics then with model based soley on drones and supplies.

You got a point there but if they wanted to add new colors, they could add new ones that feels more premium like those XT skins.Not by removing a feature that everyone owned. You can't always say that because it's "cosmetic", it's okay to have you pay for it.

It's like hey, let's remove all the paints that are now availiable in the garrage, and make it "cosmetics" only obtainable in containers, by the way, we will remove all your paints that were bought with crystals and make them exclusively to containers.

You got a point but it isnt correct  The only color you got 100% free is green . All other paints you got are or paid ( in crystals or in money ) or given as reward in containers . They did not take away your weapon , or did you choose your weapon based on the color it shoots , like m0 was a twins , m1 rico  , m2 isida ... ? i dont think so . All stats from the weapon stay the same  , only the color it put out has been changed . Personally i hope you can choose a lot of different colors it can shoot , even black , put i not put down money for it ( crystals  yes i do ) .

I did not buy any alterations.

 

Why does all my turrets have M0 appearance when firing? What is going on here?

 

I did not buy any M0 alterations and did not receive any from containers.

 

Is this a visual glitch?

I paied my turret with crystals and money, so I do deserve to keep the feature, and not get taken away from me. Maybe paints aren't the best example, then something else. You buy a new laptop, beautiful colored screen, ect... Then one day the manufacturer removes the color of your screen and say, it's cosmetic, you can still use all your laptop features in back and white, but you need to pay extra for the colored version of this screen. How would you fell about that.

No they removed all colors so we need to buy them.

Nope, It's not a visual glitch. Very soon they will add different effects for the shots which can be acquired from containers, as far as I know..

Let's wait for more crazy information about this.

I paied my turret with crystals and money, so I do deserve to keep the feature, and not get taken away from me. Maybe paints aren't the best example, then something else. How would you fell about that.

A colour screen is critical to many functions of a laptop tho... a better example would be something like a software themepack on the laptop.

Hmm ok i changed my mind , The software pack did the trick , since it does nothing on the performance of the computer or phone but its gone anyway . Since you owned it allready , then it should still be there.

It works as intended. They might tweak the balance a bit more, but that's unlikely.

your'e just a mouthpiece for the Devs. Tanki is losing direction and players because noone listens to us. All these new mods to the game are not wanted and not needed. At what point to the people making these changes listen to the people that are paying their wages. What mind bending drugs were the Devs all taking when they came up with this rubbish!?

I would cuss you, but no words are strong enough. Did you mention my standard alterations would be unequipped? You are disgusting! Despicable!

 

You always seem to pick the most frustrating changes possible. 

Take 5 seconds to click "equip". It isnt particularly hard once you get the hang of it.

Feeling glad i didn't spend more than a few dollars on this game. It makes it a lot easier saying goodbye and good riddance. Off to World of Tanks i go. That game at least resembles what it started out as. TANKI sorry guys you are losing the plot and your game is getting way too complicated to be used as a fun stress relief game, GOODBYE

My alteration of the railgun death herald does not work well, it works like the alteration large caliber rounds

Instant reload when enemy is destroyed. Looks like an excuse to use DD from supplies.

In this particular case - yes, I am. "Works as intended" is the exact phrase I was told by Hazel-Rah when I asked him about the balance issues with this alterations.

 

Actually, now that I played quite a few more battles with the Smoky alteration, I must say that it's not as good as I initially thought. It's perfect for certain maps (and even OP in some situations), but in the majority of battles I was struggling to compete against other turrets with standard settings. So it's not as OP as I initially thought.

Im not saying that some alts arent OP , but couldnt they figure that out before ? No we wait till everybody buys them and then change them allready Why the developers not just add something are just change the stats every 2 hours  Just make every game a surprise what weapon you are getting , MM the extreme way , we decide what weapon you get in which map and in what game mode . Its a joke ...

I wrote this in the color shooting page , but here it fits more . They rebalancing them tomorrow allready ... So they not work as intented , i get for vulcan 10% extra self damage and my damage to others go from 0.8/s to 0.2/s , thats a big change to the alt  . Im sure they never ever tested it ....

That notwithstanding the ultimate winners may be those alterations like Vulcan with Fire that combine two damage types. The Smoky-Freeze was good too. You will rarely encounter protection modules on your target against both damage types.

 

I really see these mixed-damage-type alterations as OP since they are designed to counter module usage. Take the smoky-Freeze setting. As a counter to this, I would need to equip both types of protections. That leaves me only one slot to counter the Vulcan-Fire and Hammer double tap alterations out there. Good luck. We’re gonna die anyway. Be careful what crystals you pour into modules. You’re not gonna see a return on that investment. Use those crystals for a comfortable alteration. Preferably one they have already tweaked - less likely it will be tweaked again.

Out of curiosity, did you notice this before or after they changed the parameters for the smoky rapid fire alteration?

I know , been thinking about buying 3 modules , but im not sure . The slow moving rocket might just be extremely usefull tomorrow ... 90k isnt that much .

The alterations balance changes are coming tomorrow, and I started to change my mind about the alteration after just a few battles with it. I think after tomorrow's nerf it will be mediocre at best.

 

On the other hand, Thunder's new alt is already pretty good (decided to try it just now out of curiosity) and it's actually getting a BUFF tomorrow, so I'm pretty sure that one will be OP. Not to mention that everyone is protecting themselves from the most popular OP turrets now (Rico, Freeze, Fire, Isida, Twins, etc.), so the number of Thunder modules in battles is surprisingly low.
