New alterations coming October 31st

I can tackle someone's protection module with an alteration and I think this is a good thing. I always hated protection modules in this game. People should be able to sneak up to someone and killing them instantly. Makes heavy hulls more common aswell, I can already spot more heavy hulls sticking to their own role as true defender.

 

I hope someday it is the alterations that make up for all the turret's capabilities so we could for instance have Smoky's defending, attacking or mid-fielding. Turrets and hulls should only be good (and I mean really good) at one thing and insanely worse at everything else so everyone picks out something and there is more variety on the map. One role per player.

 

I love that I can now take on fights against short range turrets with Striker. It totally changed my gamestyle. I am now more into attacking instead of mid-fielder.

Imagine that your team has 2 altered Titan Vulcans, 2 Hornet Isidas, 2 Viking Isidas, 1 Viking Twins and 1 Viking Rico.

 

The enemy team has 2 Hunter Thunders, 2 Hunter Smokies, 1 Dictator Rail, 1 Mammoth Shaft, 1 Hornet Isida and 1 Viking Isida.

 

Your team has 2 ranged turrets, the enemy team has 6 ranged turrets. Who will win? It is clear.

How often are you gonna get team-co-operation like that in Match-Maker battles. You don't see teams made up of 50% Isidas.

 

Sure there are some groups that end up playing random teams and the absolutely dominate.

But for most part, we don't have that kind of synergy on teams.

The shot delay for Large-caliber alteration of the railgun is really annoying. It's enough that its reload is prolonged. No need to add another disadvantage.

The assumption that your first shot comes "free of reload" is correct, but makes no sense if you like to know how much DPS the turret deals over time on more then one cycle of 5 shots. If I may pick up your Smoky M4 numbers and contine:

 

Smoky M4, average damage over time, no alteration

 

 

Avg smoky dmg for regular shots within Max damage range: (650+420)/2 = 535

A cylce of 4 regular shots (535hp) + 1 critical shot (800hp) deals: 535hp x 4 + 800hp = 2940hp

From the beginning of the cycle to the beginning of the next cylce you spend 5 reloads = 5 x 1.5sec = 7.5sec

2940hp / 7.5sec = 392hp/sec

 

 

..average damage per second is 392hp/sec in normal mode

 

Smoky M4 with autocannon until 2018-11-03:

 

 

Autocannon reduces the regular shot damage by 75%:

A cylce of 4 regular shots (535hp -75%) + 1 critical shot (800hp) deals: 134hp x 4 + 800hp = 1335hp

From the beginning of the cycle to the beginning of the next cylce you spend 5 reloads = 5 x 0.5sec = 2.5sec

1335hp / 2.5sec = 534hp/sec

 

 

..average damage per second is 534hp/sec in autocannon mode until 2018-11-03 (this is 36% more DPS then without the alteration)

 

Smoky M4 with autocannon from 2018-11-04:

 

 

Autocannon reduces the regular shot damage by 85%:

A cylce of 4 regular shots (535hp -85%) + 1 critical shot (800hp) deals: 80.25hp x 4 + 800hp = 1121hp

From the beginning of the cycle to the beginning of the next cylce you spend 5 reloads = 5 x 0.5sec = 2.5sec

1121p / 2.5sec = 448hp/sec

 

 

..average damage per second is 448hp/sec in autocannon mode from 2018-11-04 on (this is 14% more DPS then without the alteration)

 

To be fair, an Autocannon Smoky needs a bit(!) more DPS, as players on light and medium hulls usually go into cover during the reload - this can not be done if you are in autocannon mode. But it's hard to calculate this effect beforehand. Also DPS is not everything.. you also have to survive long enough to make use of it.

But for players that find a good spot on the map (bit of cover from most longrangers, still able to cover one complete flank of the map) and play on DA+DP, and pop in a repair kit if they need one, the former DPS advantage gave them a huge advantage.

 

And as you already said, at long ranges the story is completely different.

 

Again this game prooves to be so hard to be balanced, as long as the supplies and modules give 100% more damage or 100% more survival time.

alteration bersekk on rico 200.000$ is good or bad?

I never played it, but this would be my decision guide from the analytic point of view:

  • [Do you usually run out of ammo on Rico]

    and  [you often give players the killing shot (gain kill) while going through the _first_half_ of your magazine?]

    -> then yes

     

     

  • [Do you usually run out of ammo on Rico]

    but [you do only rarely give the killing shot to players while you go through the first half of your magazine?]

    -> then no

     

     

  • You only rarely run out of ammo on Rico, and your magazine is almost never empty

    -> then no

uranus and cyclone launchers are overpowered, why are they so cheap...

Because nobody used striker . So now , people want to use it , this means more people buy it together with the alt . Same with freeze buff , smoky buff , vulcan alt ( changed allready because it was OP , now its little underpowered but ok ) . Thats tanki economy , the weapons everybody got , tone down a bit and the weapons not many got buff . This also got the next consequence that these new weapon also need upgrades , and modules against them , multiple win-win .

For the players it is good also , since encounter more different weapons in game instead of everybody using the same .

Fat vulcans with fat isidas have conquered the battle zones.   They just sit put and exposed while shredding everything with burning bullets.

So many legend noobs are using this now in many battles.   They are very difficult to destroy.    This is the most OP and unbalanced thing I've seen so far.    

 

But hey... all things forcing us to use more drugs is welcomed by tanki.    Skip balance.  Skip fair play.  Skip skills, who needs it.  Just sit and shoot.  Why have hulls at all when you don't need to drive at all.  Lets just have bunkers with turrets in this funny game.

 

And hey... I have vulcan myself in my Commander acc, but still think we should nerf the burning effect.

If you were here today , its been nerved , and not at all so powerfull anymore. Day 1 yes , sit and shoot swaying left to right  did the job . Thats not like that anymore .

While you seem a bit hyperbolic, in the general sense, I agree with you.

Yes. Don't like it. Just about the time you kill someone they pop a repair kit then kill you while your trying to recharge.

The most important thing is to change Garage access time to 30 secs not for a whopping 2:30 secs.. that would be fresh to change soon.. the ability to use your garage is most fun.. lacking that ability is no fun !!  Especially even with new lame mission format.. tankers still come and go.  Tanki Devs need to really look at decreasing or all together eliminating the time limit in garage.  

 

It's all part of a continuing effort to help you forget about MMS.

don't waste your precious crystals on a trash drone!

it is only a fake nice shiny trying health kit!

nothing more nothing less!

and when someone shoot you, you don't get nothing!

this is what they promised when we naive tried to get

something new

"defense drone, after receiving a fatal

 destruction and instantly repairs it."

 

the accent on a key word for buying it or not is 

"instantly repairs it". but you only get a protect from being

destroyed and health kit in one try to repair you and boom

you are destroyed!

i ask developers do they know the meaning of a word

"instantly repairs it"

when something is broken that is need to be repaired and

when it is repaired it is 100% functional not 10 or 20%.

this drone is too overprices for a cheap description

it have on a pamphlet. 

a want my crystals 200,000 back now! or change the drone

that i had buy to heal me from the xx% to 100% instantly!

One more bug in a Chrome browser When You are in a game logged after

3 or 4 times do a ALT-TAB from browser to other programs or a next tab in

a Chrome the game stay freeze.

And must do a refresh of a page.

If an alteration is overpowered, it should be nerfed, not made more expensive. The only reason for the price difference in alterations is (I think) that some alterations introduce more interesting/radical mechanics to the turret, so they are more expensive. But in terms of power any turret with any alteration should, on average, be just as powerful as the same turret without an alteration.

 

 


You misunderstand how the drone is meant to be used. Obviously it won't help you if you're being attacked by a freeze, twins or firebird, since you will instantly die again after resurrection. But it will help if you are running away with the flag and get sniped by a Shaft - instead of dying and losing the flag you will be left with 5% hp, but still alive. Also, you can actually get more healing if you upgrade the drone, although upgrading it is obviously very expensive. I agree that it would be nice to perhaps have a second of invulnerability after resurrection, but the drone works and I wouldn't go as far as calling it completely useless.

No No No No No No It is You my Dear adminwhatever that you misunderstood the use of need for that kind of drone and need to explicitly explain the use of this useless drone.

You forgot the smoke with new alteration please don't loose focus in trying to justify the totally missed use of this drone.

Let me explain When someone is trying to runaway he is always on a fire shot It is very rear situation when you can get the flag an nobody is on the enemy base and after that you step on a mine die and drone resurrect you from the death and nobody is here to kill you. But You are not been explicit to the situation what is that mean instantly repair that is the problem.

For me and for all normal people it is useless drone and it will know everybody now and for some other guys who maybe have no fate for my saying and have a crystals for waste will know that too when they will buy it and on own skin try it.
