Tell me about what happened while I was away

@OKDad70 says:

I assume you know the basics of what has happened in Tanki updates and changes and additions. Might I ask you to post a date list of the features for the last several months? (Or perhaps someone could painstakingly go through the patch notes for the last several months and create the date list for us.)

Nearly all of the patch notes have some kind of feature change. Click on patch notes and you'll see what I'm saying. So, what exactly are the features you are talking about? I suggest, since you are the one that suggested it, you make the list.

The major changes, of course. What date introduced the first overdrive? What date did they change most parameters to even things out (The Great Leveling)? What was the date when they change from 7 hulls to 3? What date was MM permanently installed? The main dates over the last 30 months. Cedric would know of a few that far back, but my point is it would be nice to have a timeline of the major events, perhaps even from the beginning.

BTW, all these changes I mention were changes that made the game more frustrating and less fun.

Please be aware, that all M3 kits, unless purchased from the shop, are ONLY available until the rank  Marshal. At the rank of legend, I wouldn't expect any kits to arrive in the garage "Kits" Section. You can read more about kits in the Product Kits Page.

Also, The developers does not have specific Kits rotation timetables. It is choosen at random, and sometimes impatient tankers would buy it with real money to save the waiting time.

Are you deluded or are you just being dumb-dumb? Can people stop being "wannabe mods"? Because it's getting so annoying them doing the admin job when they don't even have any position to do so.

You right here - Have given me false information because that is not what I have asked for nor you know the situation about kits not being in the garage for low ranks such as WO4-WO5 which is my ALT account @S_O_S_A.

Now get lost with your wannabe admin comments.

First off, administrators are extremely responsible and pre-occupied people and they won't necessarily answer your questions more openly than moderators will, they intervene only when necessary since their word is Tanki Gospel.

Secondly, you can never blame someone for trying to be helpful. Granted he/she isn't helping, but it doesn't give you liberty to publicly ridicule his courtesy. What we as moderators love, and strive to achieve is a player run world where everyone is responsible. Enough for us to become obsolete and no longer required. If someone gives you an unsatisfactory answer, simply dismiss them or tell them to withhold judgement instead of pointing them out.

Thirdly, regarding your complaint about the kit system, only the WO ranks are facing this problem. I will forward it to my administrator and she'll deal with the communication process accordingly.

As an administrator - It is YOUR job to find out what is going on about the situation. It is YOUR first job before any other player to find out the information and get back as soon as possible to the person asking the question. You applied for this position to help on the forum and give your best help to the players.

Don't confuse my responses to people who are not providing the information I need because they clearly haven't read what my question was - Yet they answer with completely different information I don't need or I know already. My point was - They can help as long as they know what they are talking about, who would have problem with that? Nobody. I wanted a response from administrator because we as community members rely on you, because most of you know the homework you did before/after applying for this position.

I have been administrator in different community and I for sure know how everything works and what MY role was as an administrator.

People are so quick to jump into conclusions. If nobody can provide the right answer - Why jump straight to answer a question when you are not able to provide the right information?

simply dismiss them or tell them to withhold judgement instead of pointing them out.

Sometimes people need to be pointed out so they don't do the same mistake again, simple task, isn't it?

Yes - WO kits are fixed now and I was aware it was only WO issue.

I never denied the fact that this answer was not satisfactory. What I'm trying to explain is that there's a way of putting people off. Publicly calling them names and considering them as "wannabe admins" is far from constructive. I have nothing against criticism, but if people don't understand how to offer it, the actual message will be thrashed on the sidewalk and the harsh tone is the only thing the said person will remember.

Yes, it is our responsibility as helpers, and more specifically as forum moderators to guide you and offer whatever valid information we have to assist you, but it is nearly impossible for us to check into every detail and provide responses. If anything gets missed or unanswered, we rely on you to bring up  your issue to us in a PC manner so that we can actually look into it without having to deal with quarrels and distrust.

Its not a matter of what, it's a matter of how.

If you would like to continue this discussion, you are more than welcome to address me in PM, since this isn't the appropriate topic for this conversation :)

I think overall speaking a few major things happened, that represent severe issues to the free player base:

  • matchmaking was introduced, but does not work so well
Especially (but not only) players who can play during non-peak hours only, complain to get matched to far superior players, and - additionally - that the power of the two teams are not leveled and a lot of battles are completely one-sided.

  • daily missions can only be done in matchmaking battles nowadays
..so most players have to play some, even if they don't want to

  • drones + batteries were introduced
A new aspect to the customization of a tank and gameplay. But an equipped drones consumes 1 battery/minute and batteries are practically not affordable by free players. So buyers gain a huge advantage.. a pure pay-to-win feature.

  • latest changes in the daily mission system have reduced the income of free players
..except they are willing to spend 3..4 times more time in the game per week.

So for the average free player, the situation is like that:

  • players have to spend way more time to get at least some missions done. If they don't, they earn to less to keep their equipment matched to what's needed at their ranks
  • if they play matchmaking to get their missions done, they can not afford enough supplies (don't even talk of drones and batteries) to keep up with the quite large amount of power-players, that obviously spend money on that game.
  • so by those players the game's not perceived as "pay to win", but as "pay or be slaugthered"

Overall those changes upset a lot of players, which lowers the player base for matchmaking even more.

I have nothing aganst the russian... I'm just talking about wannabe mods in general.. when they don't do it properly, they're basically spamming.

it is against the rules to talk off topic.. I can understand if you don't have enough time to always be there to hide their posts/ban them whenever they do it.. but there comes a time when I have enough. after they repeat too many times if they don't get silenced I will tell them to shut up myself.. and I will do it my way.

I'm not saying i never talk off topic myself, I'm just saying that if you're gonna enforce that rule then you should enforce it on everyone. like right now, you're considering to hide this post... why not hide all teh wannabe mod posts in the complaint book? it's a complaint book, people who spam irrelevant info at other's complaints should have their posts hidden too.

exactly, so why you tell people not to complain there? or how to report hackers? they complain about the presence of hackers, not ask you how to report them.

1: Dont change the topic, 2: Its quite hypocritical to complain about something then refuse to do anything about it.

TO Mobile - very good update

Battle funds dont exist in MM battles, instead rewards are calculated at the end of the match. - very good update

Drones - i dont support drones

New Alterations - very interesting update, but makes the game harder to play

Tanki War - good

Juggernaut mode - legendary

Rugby mode - okay

Assault mode - okay, people kinda just play for missions i think

Official Discord - legend

Containers - debatable

Skins - good, since its not pay to win just makes your tank look nice

Overdrives - bad, at least for now i dont think it will end up well there will just be mechanics are that ruined

Promocodes - good

Black Golds which occasionally drop a container instead of 1000 crystals - very good, but now everyone didn't even get the black gold and put it in thumbnail to clickbait

Fully customisable triple protection modules - legendary

Weekly missions - i dont really care about missions but good

He is pretty busy with newly appointed duties (he just took over, after all) but I assure you that he reads everything and I'm sure he'll join the discussion as soon as he can :)

The ability to see how many upgrades a tank has is gone, it was replaced by a meaningless feature called Gear Score.

I never look at Gear Score anymore - I don't press V anymore since upgrade a tank has is gone, I am not interested pressing V anymore to see what GeAr ScOrE opponent has.

Welcome back Cedric. I too took a hiatus from Tanki after being disheartened. I was OK with all the updates with exception to Matchmaking. And this is not just for myself. Many of my regular tanki friends left over matchmaking. I think not just me but many put in sooo much effort to send a message to the developers but it seemed as if we were talking to a wall. Even on community events when Nives arranged, i would try to reach out to Nives to tell him this problem but my cries fell on deaf ears. I mean, i feel on tanki's part, MANY players were ignored. Even in appealing for the option to have battles without Matchmaking, the only option left was for players to possess a battle pass or be a clan member. It didn't help that moderators were brain washed into "zombies" in promoting matchmaking. Quite clearly, from all the player charts, you can clearly see the downtrend effect after MM was rolled out. Retrospectively, i think tanki was banking on the TO mobile to prop up statistics.

The key difference was before MM, there were battle maps that people liked to hang out in. Like some of us loved highway map so much we would play on that map for hours. And these are players who don't want to be forced to buy a battle pass or be a clan member. And we could hang out with players on that map, make new friends of different ranks and chat, exchanged emails, etc . Plus we could do that while completing missions. We would help each other. All that got ripped out.

So when everyone was forced to play on MM, i could no longer find my regular friends. Its 10mins BAM another battle map, different people 10mins BAM...then tanki reduced this to 8mins. For me, i could easily create a map and wait (which i did cos the mods told me i had that option) but majority of the people - their first priority was to complete there MM battles because of mission obligations.

So what can i say. Tanki is paying the price for ignoring all these people. Mods told me that tanki had already made up their mind, MM was to stay and we had no choice. There would be a new generation of tanki players who would not know what playing tanki before MM was like and get use to it. True. But i think it was wrong strategy to dismiss the opinions of your loyal tanki players.

i felt it was hypocritical to create a thread to solicit feedback about MM only to ignore all the cries of the players. Most of the people here probably don't know what i'm talking about those people have already left. I stayed because at the very least, i still have my clan friends. But outside my clan, all my usual tanki friends are gone.

I gotta agree. With the addition of XT skins for any rank and shot colors, it can be literally impossible to tell what modification turrets are.
