Declined More choices in shot effect colors

The recently released update for the shot effects of turrets is so amazingly beautiful. I like the different colors that some players have when firing their turrets with an applied shot effect.

 

However, there is a slight problem with that. That problem is that there are not enough color choices for each shot effect for each turret. For example, there are no blue shot effects for Firebird. What developers needs to do to improve shot effects is to add all the colors for all the turrets.

 

Currently, shot effect colors can only be applied to 8 turrets. The shot effects must be applied to all turrets in Tanki Online.

 

Custom color shot effect

 

Just like players can now freely customize their protection modules the way they want with the new modules system, I have a similar plan for suggesting a custom color shot effect. The custom color shot effect would work by adding a color palate interface so that users can customize the colors of their shot effects for all turrets. The custom color shot effect would be versatile so that it can be applied to any turret in Tanki Online without any restrictions. Players would be able to change and customize their shot colors in an infinite amount of times as they wish.

 

That would give players the freedom to choose their favourite colors to use.

 

As an example, I would say that I want to have a blue shot effect applied to Firebird. To begin with, developers must add a preset blue shot effect for Firebird. For the players who have managed to earn the custom color shot effect, then they can choose any custom color for Firebird or any other turret.

 

If this idea of mine is added to the game, then all those new shot effect colors, including the custom shot effect one as well would be added to containers.

While the idea itself is great and I would love to see it implemented, it's not something the developers will do.

 

First of all, if you buy this item or find it in a container, it means that by buying just one thing you no longer need any other shot colour because you can just customise the colour you have with the palette. And if you don't needed, there's no chance you will buy it, and if you don't buy it, Tanki gets less revenue.

 

Second, it's just too complicated for a game like Tanki. These games aim for the simplest possible interface, so stuff like colour palettes and many settings for customisation are a waste of time because the majority of players (maybe not me or you, but most other players) don't want to spend time playing around with settings and only want to play battles. For people like that even opening the alterations menu and selecting the colour from a limited list is already almost too much work.

 

So yeah, this is the kind of feature you might find in an AAA-tier game like Fallout 4 or Elder Scrolls, not a free-to-play indie game.

Maf, would you agree to have more preset colors being added for shot effect colors? For example, would you consider it a positive idea to add a blue flame color shot effect for Firebird?

Oh yeah, I'm sure eventually developers will not only add colour effects for all the turrets, but there will be even more effects for turrets which already have some. i don't think it will happen soon though, since they just released a massive batch of them.

Yes, I agree with you. Developers must add shot effects for Smoky and Thunder as well. Just ask for them to be added as well.

Yes, of course, you could have an option to mix existing colors together to make new colors. That would be very ideal to add such as feature.
