Tanki needs to fix the Lower Ranks

 Share

Recommended Posts

The Lower Ranks are so competitive because all these no-life super-buyers are there with m2s when I'm still using the m0 hunter smoky combo.

Tanki devs released TO Mobile in hope that it will increase playerbase; however, who is going to want to play when there are PC players (with easier controls) that have spent hundreds of dollars and already have a significant advantage over you.

Try creating an alternate account and start playing on it now if you don't believe.

You forgot the Gold hackers with hundres of Golds and probably 50k or more crystals from containers.

There's not many super buyers at the low ranks. Newbies with patience and determination can still prosper, besides the low ranks go by really fast.

The high ranks are the real problem, there's many players who exploit the games flaws for their own personal gain.

Buyers have a real advantage up here. And it takes ages to rank up to get the next upgrade.

I think it's the other way around. Buyers at high ranks barely have any advantage. Everyone drugs up here, everyone has their stuff almost to m4, drones for now are kind of useless except for the saboteur. The only significant advantage is the constant 50% modules across the board.

At low ranks, Buyers have all the advantage. They play against legit newbies with m2 equipment. They are the only ones who have supplies that are expendable constantly.

Buyers at low ranks may have a bigger advantage but that doesn't mean the free players won't do well, and like I said, those ranks go by quickly.

Up here it's as if you have to buy to stay competitive with legends with m3s and m4s because MM puts you in these kinds of battles.

MMS was only thing while I was a Commander and above so I don't know exactly how it was like when you are a brigadier or in the general ranks.

In theory, there is a significant chance that you will be matched with players lower ranked than you are, who you can effectively destroy. Likewise, the chance is also great for you to be playing some M4s. But, you can leave those battles. When you get to Marshal to Generalissimo, you will be bound 9 out of 10 battles to face a Legend, who could range from a Legend 2 or a Legend 69, who will easily be able to wreck you. It's much easier at Brigadier than it is at Marshal, trust me. Only play MMS for missions, then do your PRO battles for legit grinding.

At low ranks, you can ONLY play in MMS and you will ALWAYS be matched with players who spend too much money on the game.

I can leave those battles that have m4 players, but sometimes MM thinks I have a fighting chance against those m4 players, so it puts me right back in it.

I don't even grind in pro because I know exactly how pro treats its players who put effort into the losing team. So I just do missions in MM, only play pro if I want to test something out.

I don't even know why you need to make alts, low ranks are boring - legend rank is where all the fun is at

they have skill and most of them know gameplay etiquette such as dropping flag for defender or someone who lost it before you took it or shielding isidas etc and people are the most equal at this rank - games where I am placed in that have m2s are more boring than legend games even if I can dominate easily in them (was once played with a major rank....) but he had good m2 vulcan and titan

what do you mean by that?

What I mean is that people up in these ranks just exploit the games flaws for their own personal gain. You don't see that in the low ranks, so that just means that it's more fun down there.

Bought Keeper Kit on @S_O_S_A as soon as I reached the right rank - MU'ed to M2 straight away, kept on dominating battles, 50-70+ kills each battle with only few deaths per battle. Ranked up pretty fast because of all the killing and fast xp earning in battles.

True, but either the keeper kit owner or the other players will rank up fast, so it's just gonna be an annoyance overall. Besides one keeper kit owner can only affect one battle at a time.

Well, then enjoy being spawn killed all the time up there.

Perhaps what devs could do is create a more effective system for measuring skill, so if you create a new account and clearly show that you are extremely effective and much more powerful than the average player of that rank, then you'd be put into battles where actual newbies are multiple ranks above you and have better equipment, so you'd actually be forced to use your skill to beat them.

Or better yet, put tankers in battles together based on their efficiency score. Yes, people could try to get low efficiency scores just to destroy noobs, but their scores would soar soon, so it kind of fixes itself. Perhaps tanker's Garages could have an impact as well. Does anyone like the idea?

You're the exact type person we want to get rid of...

Well, yeah. I feel like it's fine to refer to "normal buyers" as just average players, because I'm pretty sure that every typical player has bought at least something in this game. By using the word "buyers" I always refer to people, who use money to take advantage of most, if not all, purchasable features.

No, I think you may be confused as to how many people buy stuff. This is my first account, so I haven't had much experience, but I know I'll never buy anything.

The thing is (sorry for a third post ) , people keep talking about the Keeper Kit. I bought that whenever it was available (this is my first account), and it was almost my whole amount of crystals (I had about 2K left after). I didn't have enough to MU it, and didn't really know what MU'ing was, so I tried playing with the kit, didn't like going so slow, and stopped using it (except for the paint :). That was the end of both smoky and titan, except the occasional PRO-Battle. I went to fire/wasp, and used that until I was about WO1. Then I realized two things; first, people gain skill in using long-range guns, which means that fire is not effective on big maps. I then found MrThunder, and started using thunder - at WO1. As far as I can remember, I had only used fire except for 2-3 battles. I then met someone in an XP/BP clan at WO2, and started rail (the clan admitted you if you were skilled enough). That's been my journey through Tanki, and through it all, I rarely drugged except in parkour, where I used tons of repairs and DA. I then started an alt account, HBTY2 (ingenious, I know :), and I got immediately 100 of all supplies from a container, 125 repairs, and 125 speed boosts, and suddenly I realized that I could crush really anyone. So now my alt is at Master Corporal, and I have lessened the drugging. Then I went back to this account, and got... 100K crystals. I never used them because I went on the Product Kits wiki page and found tornado kit, which is Hornet/Rail (my main playing style now). Then I got 10K and 25K,and I now have 179K crystals, as well as M1 Thunder, Rail, Fire, Smoky, Hammer, Rico, Wasp, Hornet, Titan, Mammoth, and Viking. Somehow, I've managed to make my ends meet, so to speak.

So that's what I've done in Tanki. My point? It's the silly probably not well educated kids who run out of crystals. They need to not feel so entitled - they gotta grind, work, save, just like in real life - except, here, it's fine to make a mistake. The ones who think they can just come on and buy are the ones missing the real fun of playing - the joy of working and succeeding, like I did with rail. Now I'm proud of my accomplishments - learning to be a formidable rail in battles, working for containers that have legendary paints (Peaks and Lotus), and saving for crystals to get an M2 Hornet/Rail at WO5. You know what? I bet I'm gonna have more fun with my hard-earned Tornado kit than they could ever have with the fruit of their... allowances  - wasted on a video game.

*Update: I got into the clan, if you were wondering :)

Sometime ago, this very issue was addressed in I & S. The suggestion was to put new alt accounts on different servers than the actual newbies. The suggestion was declined. The reason given was because the system couldn't tell the difference between a new alt account and a newbie to the game. I still think it was a good idea.

Neither of us has the official data, so we can only speculate. However, developers have said in livestreams that the "small buyers" bring much more revenue than massive buyers, who spend thousands of dollars. 1000 players spending $6 each contribute more than 1 player spending $5000.

And based on how many people I've been seeing with the Battle Pass in these two challenges, it seems like the majority of players are willing to spend small amounts.

As someone who’s created multiple alts, some successful and some not... I agree. My current best account is and has multiple M2s. The only purchase on it was Keeper kit, at Staff Sergeant. Other than that, completely non-buying, but I’ve still been dominating the obvious new players without trouble. It’s definitely something that would discourage them...

Lol, devs won't fix the alt problem so stop crying about it. Why? The big Youtoube buyers need some food for their latest (albeit poorly made) videos. And YT vids means more popularity which means more $$$ for tanki.

I think a plyer can have at most 4-5 accs more than that should not be allowed as several starts to trade and even sell them. And the low ranks are more worse than high ranks so newbies comes and leaves as they say its damn hard at the beginning imagine when u rank up and face  more experienced players!!
