Yeah, it has to be that way; They moved the items as special selling point to make Black Friday stand out. From business perspective, they have more reason to make them available at that day only. But why Legacy skins... :mellow:

I understand the perceived insult to those who played long and hard to get those legacy skins for free. From Tanki’s perspective, that also makes them more appealing to buyers to spend real money.

Black Friday is not a garage sale. It is a shop sale. Tanki was kind to offer us an MU sale in the garage. Regardless, Black Friday is a real money event.

Yep! But now they can't get XT skins without spending, and some devoted players don't exactly have spare funds. Meanwhile, people with more disposable incomes can buy whatever they want without caring about the game. I understand the appeal of revenue, but if they're gonna have a sale on something, they should have it on an item that was purchasable at some point or another. Make people buy shot colours if they need it so bad; I'm sure tankers would be ecstatic about that.

legacy skins seem like the best way to camouflage my tank.. I'd buy them if i had the extra money to spare.. but I'll never ever buy XTs or even use them even if they fall out of containers

Yes, but we would just hear the same complaints about shot colors being in the Shop which we are hearing now about XTs.

 

That said, I actually agree, shot colors SHOULD be in the Shop.

Tanki keeps promoting themselves like this is some kind of big sale. It is nothing but a money grab in the shop.

 

If you are stupid enough to buy XT skins at $100 at pop I have some swampland I'll sell you.

 

And since they made it VERY unlikely that you will ever get one out of a container, I won't ever have one.

I don't like saying this but all business do this sort of thing. They do it because it works and it works because people fall for it.

 

Now the Demonic and Legacy is a little too much. They should have given more time to put those in the Shop. But players can't ask for complete exclusivity, and haven't they learned from the "unique paints" that are no longer unique?

What about drones and new alterations which we will never be able to buy all? All alterations equal almost 1 M4, which means we will have to spend 2 M4 crystals on one turret if we want to make it fully upgraded. I'm not even counting drones, supplies and more...

BR/ES just announced other discounts apart from black friday... i know that they probably won't celebrate the same thing here but usually when they do something over there they'll do something else here.

 

just to let you know, they got 30% off on drones and MUs, 40% off on paints and 50% off on turrets and hulls.. also double battle funds for 3 days

Cedric is probably following this thread. I am sure players would welcome a surprise in the form of additional garage discounts.

 

Discounting drones for the first time would be good for player morale and relatively harmless to the economy given the inexpensive purchase price of most drones.

 

At the risk of rationalizing, a garage paint discount might have an impact on the economy but would not also make players more powerful, so perhaps less impactful to the game overall.

 

Let’s wait and see. Like I said earlier, I expect to hear something any day now about additional changes next week.

Is there access to all kits without regard to the rank in the garage and the shop?

The skins will only be available in the Shop and only the product kits in the Shop will be discounted. You'll only be able to buy the product kits that are suited for your rank. Check out this article on the Wiki to see which kits will be available for your rank.
