Not sure if it's possible on a flash game, but I'd love to use my 144hz while playing Tanki. Is there any way to increase the fps limit from 60 to like unlimited? (On the Tanki Online Client of course)

(Why this idea: I'm pretty sure that more tankers have a higher frequency than 60, not many but still a small addition to the game which is only positive)

For me, it depends on the game, a lot. Personally I can play pretty comfortably with 30FPS but I generally play a lot of games (Thief, Dishonored, System Shock, any older FPS that happens not to be Crysis, I'm looking at you) at 60. And then there's a couple games that run smoothly at 10-20 FPS (Shadow Tactics, Divinity: Original Sin II, Tanki, any isometric game ever).

 

Not to mention most people here play only a few games other than tanki, so they might not have an idea of FPS. I'm beginning to think my library of games is more diverse than anyone in the forum :lol: Meanwhile I've heard of 144 or even 244 being "good" for all those competitive multiplayer shooters like Overwatch, CSGO and Siege, etc, with 60 being 'playable' and '30' bad. FPS count and how it's seen definitely varies. Mind you I'm not defending Cabbage, and he is likely trolling.

So kids you have always had all the top end computers served on plate? Cool. I have iphone 4 and my second pc is some windows xp dell pc with pentium 4 and 96mb graphics card. In 5 years we will have even better computers, your eyes will stop seeing 60 fps because 1000 fps will exist? Nice, very nice.

My brother even plays on 5 fps yet still can be in upper half of scoreboard without turning turret or using supplies. hahahahahaha funny right

 

Sudenly jumping from 10fps to 30fps is a huge thing, i dont need a 99999$ pc to play a game because i know how to play on low fps unlike most of people. (because you kids will now say i am joking and even 30fps is very low)

 

I am even underclocking an i3 cpu because its heating like hell on 60 fps, and 30fps is very good for me.

 

Its like rich people. Person that gets 1000$ daily cant live with 100$ in a day. Same as buyers. Person who uses supplies always needs supplies. 

 

So if your newest pc crashes you wouldnt even think of turning on some old pc full of dust from your garage, you would immediately buy a new one!

i agree that 30 is playable , 60 is just way better , I play PUBG mobile at about 40 FPS and it's smooth and nice

but on the other hand , I've seen my cousin play it on his crappy computer with only 10 FPS , it hurt my eyes and gave me motion sickness to even watch him !!

no one is saying you get high end computers for free , but tanki doesn't really require that super high end computer , a cheap graphics card will suffice ...

a 5 years old computer can get a decent frame rate

 

you should consider buying a cooling system or changing the cooling paste of your processor , otherwise you're going to fry it and end up with a useless piece of junk ..

We use firebird in all accounts because you can even play with eyes closed. I understand, xp/bp players need precision and smooth gameplay, but firebird is simply ideal for idiots like me. I am even playing some other game on my phone because i just randomly move with left hand and still kill few tanks.

 

If you people cant believe 10fps is playable, i can record it with phone.

I play War Thunder in low graphics with 30 FPS (2010 computer, old graphic card) and it works perfectly. I am often in the top 3 (of 16) in my team.

 

I play Tanki on 60 FPS, of course. It has much simpler graphics than War Thunder.

Try a 144hz monitor. I definitely noticed a difference. Every movement feels smoother, it only requirs more fps than 60, too bad it's locked on Tanki Online.

Calm down buddy, you can easily live fine with a 300-500$ pc. We (ppl on the internet) can't do shizzle about your situation, you can do a few things: save up, or work for it.

 

Anyways, if you have a monitor above 60hz you'll definitely notice a difference.  And humans can definitely see more than 60 fps.

 

And btw, it's pretty sad to call everyone a "kid" with a decent pc. Doesn't really make sense tbh. *Think before you are posting a comment*

I believe that we will never get over 60 FPS in the Flash version of the game due to either the limitations of the engine or the limitations of Flash.

 

The HTML5 version of the game has an 144 FPS cap, although you'll be unlikely to reach it given how poorly it currently. Once the full transition is made to HTML5, perhaps your idea will be completed.

I've heard people say that the difference between 144 and 60 FPS is like the difference between 60 and 30, which, if true, makes me understand why some people think it's necessary for competitive games. I've also heard that in CS:GO, having higher FPS actually gives you smoother mouse movement even if the picture doesn't become discernably smoother, which is probably why really dedicated players strive for something as high as 244 FPS.
