Idk, game would probably get better, hopefully they'd remove Drones or at least nerf em

I agree, but would WG use this game as a money grinder for other games the same way AP uses it to grind $$ for Tanki X? Or would they actually look into complaints that people have been saying for years?

I don't think they'd use it to get more money for other games being WOT makes so much more than Tanki, personally I think they'd up the advertising and actually try to balance the game, maybe remove some of the rediculous features like MM that don't work and literally everyone hates

The company with patented matchmaking removing matchmaking. A sight to behold indeed.

WoT does have MM in place. What do you think is happening while you're in the queue?

Since WG seems more attuned to historical events and weaponry, TO would become another WoT.

Comanders !!!! As you know tanki was bought by wargaming.net and we have some reeeeeealy awesome updates! :

1. Premium tanks have been added to the game

2. Ammo now has cost

2.1 New prem ammo that does more dmg

3. Magnum received satellite view and was renamed artillery

4. Two new boss tanks were added to juggernaut mode: KV-2 and TOG-II*

5. Soviet bias has been introduced

6. 25% RNG FOR EVERYONE !!!! UHHAAAHAHAHAHAH coff coff coff

I think it would be pretty much that :P

Lol but serious now, I play two games that have been bought by other companies and nothing really changed. They would probably just leave devs doing their thing and collect the profit at the end of the month.

*drumroll*

What if Gaijin (War Thunder developer) bought Tanki?

1. LOS armor-angling! Yay!

2. Ability to destroy tracks, engine, suspension, barrel and turret ring

3. Additional armor (tracks, ERA, spaced armor)

4. Real camouflages

5. Real post-penetration effects

6. 100+ more tanks

7. Premium tanks and camouflages

8. Airplanes (because why not)

^and add a thousand other developers.

Say, what if Blizzard bought it, because apparently TO + overdrives = fancy third person hero shooter?

Too far off tank territory? Hmm... Arma devs, whoever they may be? PUBG Corp.?

Seriously... ridiculous.

On a more serious note, I doubt it'd work. Reasons in posts above.

or just fix it :P . And Match Making actually works for games like WoT that have tens of thousands of players at any given time and hundreds of thousands at peak compared to Tanki which has had what 40k peak player count in the last few weeks? And that was during 20x golds so normal is more like 10k probably which is a bit pathetic for a game with over a million accounts Edited by fordmustang12345

Post here similar topic, no need to review the entire game industry in many different post (or make it a forum game  )

No content, just a copy of this but with a different game publisher.

(Hypothetical situation) What if [place here a company name] bought TO?

My turn:

(Hypothetical situation) What if MATTEL bought TO?

I don't want this to become a silly joke forum game. And I picked Wargaming.net for a reason, they have made a tank game that has been successful over the years but has lost players as of late (similar to TO). I didn't pick Gangiin because War Thunder was never really that popular until recently.

Epic Games isn't suitable for this discussion because they have zero experience making a 3rd person tank shooter..

I'm sure you've never checked the WoT forums. They dislike matchmaking just like we do. Check almost any game with MM, and their forums probably hate it. Apparently, MM doesn't properly balance teams. Or picks bad maps. (for example, I still hate that map where the match begins with tanks dropping down a hill, even though I longer play WoT)

That was Mitengard. It was removed along with several others.

eh...... Not every game, MM is pretty much needed for at least most Console games, take Call of duty and other AAA games for example

It depends on what direction they went with it. I think World of Warships is in a pretty good spot right now - WG listen to their playerbase, with several big changes to the matchmaking system, aircraft carrier gameplay rework (battle results were often far too skewed in favour of the team with the better carrier player) and damage effects on smaller ships.

However, I'm not a great fan of WoT and though it's much better in many ways than Tanki (graphics, diversity of gameplay etc), I wouldn't want Tanki to head in a similar direction.

The main difference between WG titles and Tanki is that one introduces high level overpowered premiums that anyone can open their wallet for (and ruin games for high-ranked players) while the other focuses on introducing loads of updates revolving around useless and expensive cosmetic items.

Though the drone update wasn't a good one in my opinion, at least it's not a shop-only feature.

War Thunder has brilliant MM. The difference of BR between players is always 1,0 or less.

Of course, only the BR of the strongest tank in deck counts. The other tanks should have the same or very similar penetration so they would not get hurt by the uptier.

Found only in tiers 1-2, and as @u812ic said, it's been removed.

But yes, WoT's MM is very frustrating. By design.

I heard that TO's MM was based off of WOT"s...is that true?
